First and foremost, I congratulate DTR for reaching officialdom. Corsairs really need a passionate faction.
Secondly, I don't think Nyx has ever ganked someone out of sheer anger, nor has Nyx disrespected a player (or players) with an unreasonable attitude. Perhaps, it's the cause behind this ire. I strongly believe Nyx has every right to be so serious about the /ganking/ part, as someone who leads a defected battlegroup whose goals are unknown yet to this day.

We had a fight today in Xi, and I wouldn't want you to get the wrong impression of us because of what we did. Let's just say that it would be correct to apologize on my part, because we came for interesting (!) fights for everyone, not for dominating one side over the other. In fact, we did what we can do, but didn't have to.
Anyways, good luck with your official status. I hope that future fights will be as exciting as the previous ones.
Ironic how the first and only reply here is an apology for "ganking" us, as opposed to the other thread
We know more than anyone how large fleets tend to be hard to control. The more human element you got, the more likely things are to swing out of control.
I can assure you no harm was done on the long run. Our side is very understanding of the situation and we'd love to have more spontaneous large fleet battles with you. Previous ones were very enjoyable and I believe this was a one-time hiccup on both sides.
Our side also needs a lesson or two in preparing and coordinating a proper battlegroup for the situation, and this one time was such lesson.
Hope you pay a visit to Xi again soon
Ganking is just a consequence of what we were doing. I mean, I don't care about the number of our own or the enemy's ships, it's just a question of the battle.
The maneuver we had yesterday is perfect from a tactical point of view: not to give the enemy even a chance to assemble and destroy anyone who dares to leave the station. The outcome can be thought of very quickly, and it is obvious.
From an ethical standpoint, however, I risk performing such techniques only when the enemy faction is hated not only by my character, but also by myself. And we have no reason to hate you. That's why I felt that the wrong things were happening and it was worth apologizing. Not unfair, just wrong.

Don't worry about it. We need all the war experience we can get. The more fighting we see under all kinds of scenarios, the better. Use everything you've got. And thanks for all the battles so far.

SO ..... you lot claim to be an official faction do you
Well connecting in space with a dread and immediately trying to shoot down a miner and one of my TCL transports to me is not acceptable from a faction who have just gone official.

Wonder what you lot have to say for yourselves.
the ship involved was DTR-CNS>Starsight.
A trader not finding it acceptable to be pirated? You do realize, that this is literally part of the game?
Just for the sake of context, your ID is Interspace Commerce, a Liberty corporation. Pirating is what Corsairs do, you are aware of that?
You were advised to stop and you chose not, as per the logs given to me. Worth mentioning that the ship was not a dreadnaught.

[07.04.2022 12:12:44] DTR-CNS>Starsight: Stop.
[07.04.2022 12:13:09] DTR-CNS>Starsight: I almost admire your audacity to stay here this long without any kind of escort.
[07.04.2022 12:13:11] DTR-CNS>Starsight: Almost.
Furthermore, threatening people with bad feedback, because you got pirated is low class, amigo. Next time, pay up if you don't want to get blown up. And don't be surprised that people are staying true to their in-RP role.

I know that it's difficult but you might want to separate ooRP and inRP.

Oh, so official factions are not allowed to "immediatly shoot down" miners and transports? Or just the members of your faction? Or we're too fresh and need to wait a while before doing anything? Be more specific on this
order caps, zoner caps.... do you even know the corsair codex of laws? not because you are offical that you can fly your other characters id saying dtr gave you permission...its called metagaming. also these ships must be under your ingame supervision (which mean dtr must be present on location, not 3 systems away). so they should not roaming around like they own the place. And if corsairs wreck them we all know thats a post will pop from them and then from you.... please stop the meta and start to play by the server rules and house laws

To be perfectly honest, the Zoner vessel I assume you're talking about most likely is Mr.Str@ange. His a contracted transport for DTR and has DTR's permission to traverse through our space and even deliver supplies to our PoB if he wishes to. He's also a regular customer buying Relics from us in the 10s of ks of Relics. Order are allowed to fly through, especially if its to assist us against enemies that are in the heart of our space (The siege on our PoB).
There's no rule saying I can't fly my alts through Gamma. Show us where we are metagaming, and show us what rule we were breaking. The Order ship isn't even one of our alts.

Why is the Gallia/Maquis Destroyer so damn sexy? Also when are Maquis gonna stop having the ugliest engines in the game?
