i m not really too fond of fusing existing designs together - but that one looks OK. you have given it a custom sine and very elegant forms about its back to the fin. the "legs" on its back look a bit out of place ( with the elegantly bend up rear fin ) but they could merge into the whole look with a good texture.

and i would have preferred the crusader chassis instead of the chavalier, cause the chavalier suggests to be a light fighter, no matter what you stick on it - it hadly looses its "lightness".

now - the texture is gonne be fun. - bretonian ships become bretonian with their skin, unlike any other ship. - i can make a kusari looking ship without any kusari texture, - works with rheinland and liberty, too. - but bretonian ships need this ornamented red / white skin.

more to the point:

what i like is that it keeps the bretonian feeling. although its merged parts of ships ( which i rather associate with junkers ) - it looks like something on its own - and not like an accident at high speed. i also like the basic shape from the side - looking like a "S" laying on its side. its a good concept and works well.

what i do not like is the massive legs on its top that look like they were stretched and squeezed into their current shape - but not originally modelled. the beard section below the cockpit is a bit too much a characteristic of the light fighter. - i d like to see more "body" and less beard. - so what you did with the spine, you could do with the belly - stretch it downwards while at the same time reduce this beard shape. but thats just a subjective idea for a heavier fighter.

right now, it looks like a LF mk2 - but not like a heavy or VHF to me.

edit: the direct comparrisson is somewhat a surprise to me. - the crusader looks much sleeker than the chavalier. - actually it looks much more agile, too - even than the avenger. - not at all massive like it looks ingame. - if you took away its legs, it would look like a light - while the chavalier looks dumpy.

I like it, but I'm wary of kitbashing, I think new ships should be that, new. But good work.

I'm not a modeler, but I think it's especially difficult to come up with 'new' Bretonian ships, especially fighters. While this fighter includes bits of other Bret fighters, it adds enough uniqueness to make it... Unique.

From the size comparisons, it definitely looks like a good heavy fighter concept. Looks sleek and maneuverable, bigger than the light fighter, smaller than the VHF.

Y'know, I don't get to play much anymore, but this just makes me so happy. I've been waiting for a nice Bretonian HF for so long.

Tenacity you get props. It's awesome. And if it ever gets included in the mod, I'll fly it.

It looks like an LF to me, more than a HF or VHF.

I figure if it's for the Royal guard of the Queen, then it's going to be lighter and more able to dodge.

Anything I say is not intended as offensive, and to try and deliberately misinterpret it as such would be an attempt at trolling via misrepresentation.

It's not a conspiracy, it's localised bias. They're not intelligent enough to form a conspiracy.

I agree with Jinx that it needs just a touch more bulk on the belly of the ship running to the "beard" at the front, but other than that it's just great. Bretonia needs an agile HF to complement the rather heavy VHF and bomber. Very nice work.

I strongly dislike the sticky up bits, I think it turns it from a sleek ship into one that is bulky and un bretoniaish. (if thats a word)

I really like the top view though....its only the front view I dislike.

Your getting amazingly better tenacity, props for you for taking time to make some really neat ships.

I have nothign to complain about it, as i don't play in bretonia, nor do i know anything about ship making/modeling.

Keep up the good work

Maybe that could be replacement for hussar? Instead of using same model twice.

I like the progression in ship lines (fighters). Feels like an evolution. There's no need for a completely new ship when the existing ones are already good ships. Look at Liberty, Kusari, Bounty Hunters, Borderworlds, Red Hessians. All these ships share the same evolutionary idea of ship progression, and look all the better for it.
