There is basically nothing lawfuls can do due to the way the rules are and how the game mechanics function.
Well unlawfuls can't take anything back and have to wait for an hour
Also the way the event is setup - unlawfuls have an incentive to shoot other unlawfuls, and all of them can.
It's cool that this event encourages people to (ab)use docking protection from CDs , then straight go to grid and suicide to the grid. That's some epic gameplay we have again.
Otherwise, cool idea. Got us some nice fights so far. So in essence, not that bad. Though I wish for real freighter routes with different destinations instead
Due to the actions of a few players, it has proved impossible to determine a true winner for this event, which is a shame. I blame myself mostly for this since I changed the respawn timer with a little over a day left in the event. It resulted in poor gamesmanship in the form of feeding kills, credit farming and other exploits I failed to account for.
I don't feel it's fair to not hand out rewards since most of those who participated did so honorably. Therefore, I will hand out rewards based on those that played fairly.
CCS-Verde.Valcyria has disqualified himself from receiving rewards for the event, due to his poor gamesmanship. Therefore, the runner up, Cartagena, will be given the reward for the most commodity hauled by an individual player.
I will give the Corsairs, Outcasts, Unioners (since I screwed up with them) and Unione Corse each a one-week commodity buff of their choice and a Faction Forum User Title of their choice (pending Admin approval). There was no clear winner, and I didn't want to leave anybody out, so each official faction who I know participated gets a piece of the award.
The winner for most kills is: 46th|LNS-Savannah. I apologize for not having the exact number of kills, nor the overall totals, but I know you were the winner of this aspect of the event when subtracting the obvious feeding that took place from a few players.
I realize these results might not be satisfactory to many. However, it seemed the fairest way to handle a sideways situation.
