Subject: Report - 20/06/829 | Outcast presence in the New York system
Good evening,
To begin with, I am pleased to inform the Admiralty that the Savannah is once again at full operational capacity after replacement and rewiring of the faulty Engine Four, the last of the damage from our insurgent run and subsequent heavy mortar strike a week ago. While the Archer-class is a venerable design predating even the Nomad war, the age does indeed show. The repairs of the Savannah were somewhat slowed by damage to a variety of circuitry and power conduits that could perhaps be replaced with newer, more durable, more modular components.
This aside, however, we broke off our reserve duty in Vespucci due to a report across the Neural Net from the 46th's newest dreadnought, the Vermont, that a Zoner Nephilim was in the process of breaching the restricted zone in Virginia. We made best speed through Kansas to Texas, however the Zoner briefly threw us off as it appeared originally to head towards Alaska. As we redirected to the New York system to cut it off, it swerved back again to stay within Virginia, costing us valuable interception time as we once again had to set course for the Vespucci jumpgate. Nonetheless, we utilised the trade lanes at the Vermont's suggestion to catch up to the great Zoner capital ship, whereupon we proceeded to provide cruise disruptor support, stopping the Zoner in his tracks. I attempted to hail the ship in an attempt to ensure it knew where it was and what it was doing, however we received only patchy communications in return as it attempted to open up private channels. After this failure, we joined in the precedent already set by the Vermont, and fired a full salvo from our forward gun, rendering the Zoner capital ship inoperable through the combined weight of fire of the Star Lance as well as the Vermont's sledges.
It is regrettable that this was the conclusion reached, and I would have preferred longer to attempt to establish communications, however the fact that the Zoner saw fit to flee as well as made next to no effort to inform us of its intentions made this result inevitable. It was, at least, a chance to test how our newly replaced power core and capacitors held under heavy load, and I am proud to say that Savannah is functioning better than ever.
I will round off my report with one other concerning occurrence. Later, at approximately 19:40 Universal Standard Time, a fleet of cruiser-class and battlecruiser-class vessels in Outcast livery approached Planet Manhattan, engaging with capital vessels held in reserve from the Vespucci front. The outcasts approached with relative secrecy. It is possible that they used a Mk IV Jump Drive to achieve such a feat. The lack of any battleship or dreadnought class vessels suggests to me that this was a force intended to skirmish with our weakened defences in the core of Liberty while otherwise engaged in Vespucci. Working off of this theory, it is my recommendation that we should reshuffle our forces, especially in the wake of the insurgency gradually being whittled down, to hold at least a full battlegroup as a quick response group in the case of any incursion by Outcast or any other forces seeking to capitalise on our apparent "weakness" or even to further reinforce Vespucci should it truly prove necessary. At least with such a battlegroup based out out of Norfolk or, less likely, Juneau, we would be better able to rapidly respond to threats in the core of Liberty far faster than drawing forces directly from Vespucci. I would wholeheartedly volunteer the Savannah and her crew to take part in this assignment, however our deployment is of course ultimately up to you to decide, Admirals.
With respect, Lt. Lillian Olson, signing off.

Subject: Update One on Omicron Nu
Good evening members of the Command Staff,
After reaching Omicron Nu I was right about to begin planning patrol routes when a hostile contact on radar was spotted 15K due north east of the Super Gate. As the target approached we were able to get accurate scans which will be provided below. It was a Zoner Carrier Aquilon and they identified themselves as Absalom Captained by Eric. They wanted to know what we were doing and they had seen other Navy in the system but never a Liberty Dreadnought. Eric stated he and his ship was in Omicron Nu to protect the interests of the Outworlder Assembly. From my perspective I think he was trying to intimidate me but once you stare down a horde of Gallic Royal Navy nothing really phases you anymore. Anyways we chatted for a time and Eric slowly impulsed away from the Super Gate.
Eric was also very interested in our mission and without relaying to much information I informed him that we are mainly here to protect the super gate and set up a patrol path to warn us of any unpleasant surprises. He also discussed his disgust for all houses as he put it. He believes governments like the republic are corrupt and send people to die for their own gains. Honestly Eric sounds just like those weird types of people on the neural net, claiming everyone and everything is out to get him. In my opinion this new wave of militant style Zoners (Outworlder Assembly) are nothing but an over zealous group trying to come off as strong and intimidating but should they cross the Republic or make any negative advances they will crumble. I will report back should anything else further develop, I will be setting up a patrol route for our fighters centered around the location of the Vermont and the Super Gate. While this first encounter seemed peaceful I did sense a lot of animosity and I dont doubt their return, I request an Archer Class Cruiser, and two Defiant Class gunboats as an added escort to the Vermont.

[22.06.2022 00:23:49] 46th|LNS-Vermont: This is Jump Gate Control at Battleship Vermont. Identify yourself Absalom.
[22.06.2022 00:24:06] Absalom: ?: I could make you the same question, libertonian.
[22.06.2022 00:24:39] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: Good thing we asked first, and you are approaching our structure.
[22.06.2022 00:24:58] Absalom: ?: Your structure, in our system.
[22.06.2022 00:25:10] Absalom: ?: We are the proud crew of the Project Absalom.
[22.06.2022 00:25:37] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: Not to proud I hope, and I dont see anywhere that this sytem is claimed.
[22.06.2022 00:26:11] Absalom: ?: The Navy is too scared to scout it and see our outposts.
[22.06.2022 00:26:48] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: If you have a legitimate claim then you should bring it up with the Republic.
[22.06.2022 00:27:19] Absalom: ?: The Assembly doesn't care about the "Republic", we do not recognize any house as a legitimate nation.
[22.06.2022 00:27:31] Absalom: ?: Why did the Navy bring a battleship here?
[22.06.2022 00:28:15] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: The Navy has always had battleships here since the contruction of the Super Gate.
[22.06.2022 00:28:36] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: And it dosent matter if you recognize the Republic or not, we are here and nothing will change that.
[22.06.2022 00:28:57] Absalom: ?: I recall seeing a few cruisers, but not so much battleships, except that old wreck.
[22.06.2022 00:29:32] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: We are merely ensuring the protection of our assets in the system.
[22.06.2022 00:29:38] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: Culling the Nomads is also another goal.
[22.06.2022 00:29:43] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: Hopefully one we share.
[22.06.2022 00:30:22] Absalom: ?: Well, we've been dealing with them for several years, it is a plague.
[22.06.2022 00:30:29] Absalom: ?: The nomads, i mean.
[22.06.2022 00:30:53] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: They seem to just keep coming, I dont really know much about them.
[22.06.2022 00:31:18] Absalom: ?: I would say you're lying. But i do not really care.
[22.06.2022 00:31:34] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: I know about their pressence.
[22.06.2022 00:31:40] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: I mean on an organic level.
[22.06.2022 00:31:48] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: I am no scientist, I am just a Captain.
[22.06.2022 00:32:01] Absalom: ?: Right...
[22.06.2022 00:32:25] Absalom: ?: What do you know about that wreck?
[22.06.2022 00:32:58] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: Well its is Libertonian, but I have yet to fully inspect it. Our initial scan was to prob the area for any hostiles.
[22.06.2022 00:33:29] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: I am sure in time we can board and get the Identification number, but the ship does seem very old.
[22.06.2022 00:33:38] Absalom: ?: The area is not exactly safe, it's usually infested, but a warship shouldn't have much issue.
[22.06.2022 00:33:39] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: I havent seen a Dread that old in a very long time.
[22.06.2022 00:33:56] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: Its quite sad though.
[22.06.2022 00:34:05] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: Those men and women aboard.
[22.06.2022 00:34:13] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: I do wonder what happened to them.
[22.06.2022 00:34:23] Absalom: ?: Your government probably sent them to die out here, it's something i would expect from houses.
[22.06.2022 00:35:00] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: Well, no house is innocent and sometimes things must be done for the greater good, I wont speculate
[22.06.2022 00:35:06] 46th|LNS-Vermont: what happened to them at this time with no evidence.
[22.06.2022 00:36:12] Absalom: ?: Something tells me no evidence will be seen, ever.
[22.06.2022 00:36:49] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: I try to keep an open mind, The Republic has yet to wrong me or my crew, We have seen action in a few theaters already
[22.06.2022 00:37:28] Absalom: ?: So you simply do not care as long as you're not directly involved.
[22.06.2022 00:37:55] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: I am saying I dont go around suspecting ill intent unless I see it.
[22.06.2022 00:38:14] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: So far everything has been by the book and by the law as far as I am concerned.
[22.06.2022 00:38:14] Absalom: ?: I guess most of your fellow soldiers thought the same, until it happened, then joined that Insurgency.
[22.06.2022 00:38:57] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: Conspiracy and rumors is what made the Insurgency, But I think at this point they are mere days away
[22.06.2022 00:39:01] 46th|LNS-Vermont: from being snuffed out.
[22.06.2022 00:39:35] Absalom: ?: Hard to believe that rumors and conspiracies can create an army, to say such thing is just frivolous.
[22.06.2022 00:39:59] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: No matter what you do or say, there is always someone who is against it.
[22.06.2022 00:40:19] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: They just couldnt find a diplomatic way around it and resorted to violence.
[22.06.2022 00:40:48] Absalom: ?: Unlikely your government took them seriously for such diplomacy to happen in the first place.
[22.06.2022 00:41:06] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: I cant speak for the Republic.
[22.06.2022 00:41:11] Absalom: ?: People doesn't choose violence, they're usually pushed into it.
[22.06.2022 00:41:47] Absalom: ?: But i'm sure whoever is in charge of the Insurgency is just as selfish and corrupt as the Republic, anyways...
[22.06.2022 00:42:02] Absalom: ?: The kind of folk that treat everyone as expendable assets, or puppets.
[22.06.2022 00:42:27] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: No person or government is perfect, we all have our flaws.
[22.06.2022 00:43:00] Absalom: ?: Compromises must be done, but if no one ever looks to improve things, shit happens.
[22.06.2022 00:43:18] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: I agree with you.
[22.06.2022 00:44:11] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: A bit of a heads up, you will see us here more often, feel free to come about should any issue arise.
[22.06.2022 00:44:30] Absalom: ?: Anyhow, what exactly does your team want to scout first?
[22.06.2022 00:45:44] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: Well first things first, we are going to set up a patrol route, to ensure we are prepared should any unplesent -
[22.06.2022 00:45:53] 46th|LNS-Vermont: suprises reveal themselves.
[22.06.2022 00:46:43] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: As for scouting missions I havent authorized any yet.
[22.06.2022 00:47:21] Absalom: ?: The closer you get to the ruins, the more likely is you encounter alien patrols.
[22.06.2022 00:48:13] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: I will note that in my logs, Its my hope to preserve life. We have a job to do and I dont intend to lose people.
[22.06.2022 00:48:47] Absalom: ?: Good.
[22.06.2022 00:49:04] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: What is your name Captain?
[22.06.2022 00:49:33] Absalom: E: You can call me Eric, captain of The Absalom.
[22.06.2022 00:50:03] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: A pleasure Eric, your trajectory seems to be leading you away from our position, be safe.
[22.06.2022 00:50:17] Absalom: E: We're out in the Edge Worlds to protect the interests of the Assembly and the Zoners.
[22.06.2022 00:50:58] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: I see, well should any issue arise with our Naval pressence do inform me, perhaps we can work towards a mutual resolve
[22.06.2022 00:51:40] Absalom: E: If your house want to get on the good eye of the Assembly, cleanse the alien threat.
[22.06.2022 00:52:19] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: I am sure it is the plan to rid the aliens of this place. Otherwise it will be nothing but trouble.

Good evening members of the Command Staff,
Although I am dispatched to the Omicron Nu System, I received a distress call from Fort Bush that a Rogue Destroyer was wreaking havoc among our citizens, I spooled our Jump Drive and was able to jump relatively close to the area. I asked the rogue to surrender but as usual they always go down fighting, a trait I can admire, nothing else though. Needless to say while valiant the Rogue fell and we received little damage, we have since returned to Nu with no Issues.

Good evening,
As the High Command know, nowadays we see rise in criminal activity right in the heart of Liberty space, New York system. But this day showed, that we really underestimated their will to bring more and more contraband into Liberty. Beside the fact, that enormous amount of enemy vessels trying to land on a capital planet to transport our captured VIP from Manhattan and support local criminal groups with contraband, we had several invasions of corsairs and outcasts battleships into the system. I'm proud to report, that Liberty combined fleet of Liberty Security Force, 46th Secondary fleet and Marshal service defended our home from this criminals, destroyed invaded battleships and their smuggling freighters and didn't lost any Liberty ship in this encounter. This was not an easy fight, but we again proofed, that Liberty has the most skilled and loyal officers, who willing to gave everything for protection of our Republic and it's citizens. I'm pretty sure, that we will have challenges like this in the future, but looking at today fight, I'm confident, that Liberty will prevail and our way of life will be secured.
In service to the Republic.

Good evening members of the Command Staff,
New York today has been a hot spot for the criminal underworld and I am pleased to announce that efforts to repel the undesirables have been a success. With elements from the Liberty Marshals, The Secondary Navy Fleet, =LSF=, 5th, LPI- and our very own 46th| our losses are minimal in comparison to our enemies. We continue to hold the line and will do so until such a time comes when the enemy looses steam.

Subject: Report - 6/27/829 | Operations In New York
Good day,
I'd like to apologize for the delay in sending out my report. Due to the recent uptick in criminal activity in New York I was spending a lot more time out in my Defender. Every time I would return to base and begin to write an after action report, the alerts would go off here at Salt Lake and we'd be ordered to scramble and launch again. Fortunately it seems that things have finally began to quiet down and I can now get this report off my desk.
Firstly, I'm happy to report that despite the hectic schedule we've had lately, I've been adjusting well to my assignment here in the 46th. I surely enjoy it more then the classrooms, lectures, and drills of the academy. I've also been able to acquaint myself with many of the other pilots and my superiors here in the 46th Fleet and participate in operations with them. I was surprised to find most of my superior officers were took an active role in our patrols. I've been used the leadership style of many of the instructors of the academy who prefer to 'lead from the back' so to speak, so the leadership of 46th is a welcome change of pace. I'm also grateful that my superiors have been quiet approachable and have thoughtful offered advice and counsel to me to improve my capabilities.
Now that things have finally calmed down here in New York, and I've finally gotten through this stack of reports. I've found myself anxious to return to my patrols and the cockpit of the Defender. At this time I'd like to request for further assignment to assist 46th Fleet however I can. I know I am still relatively new, but I think with additional assignments, I can prove my capabilities and serve Liberty to my fullest potential.

Good evening members of the Command Staff,
With the uptick in the criminal element in New York now culled, we have returned to Omicron Nu to continue monitoring the system. We were met with an LSF Corvo Captained by Victor not soon after our arrival and they to are surveying the system but has informed me that they have found nothing thus far. Now normally I would believe them but the LSF are not always reluctant to share information unless absolutely necessary. Our scan did verify his identity and it can be seen in the attachment below. Good evening members of the Command Staff,
When you think you have seen it all I keep getting surprised. We were orbiting the Super Gate when a Freelancer named James Dunn came through the gate. He is flying a Taureau Gallic Frigate and was hauling FloraGro. The Freelancer did not expect us to be there judging by his reaction when he came out of the jump sequence to see us starting at him. I sent him back to Texas. Relevant scans are provide below.

Subject: Report - 07/02/829 | Standard Patrol and Insurgency Sighting
This is my first official report since joining the 46th. If there is anything I missed or need to include next time please let me know.
Upon my acceptance from the Fleet Admiral, I set out on a late-night patrol. I patrolled the lanes in New York, Texas, and Pennsylvania. While in Pennsylvania I ran into Lieutenant Jr Grade Bartlett, who I became acquainted with for the first time. The two of us went back to New York to patrol and caught the end of a dogfight between an Outcast and Bounty Hunter. The Bounty Hunter disabled the Outcast quickly and efficiently. Other than that, the system was quiet as I monitored the New York system for the next hour after Officer Bartlett went planetside.
This morning, I went on patrol in the New York system and became acquainted with both Rear Admiral Brown as well as Lieutenant Olson of the Savannah. Shortly after meeting, we received a message on the SOS channel that the Insurgency Dreadnought "Discovery" had been sighted near Norfolk Shipyard. I geared up my Defender and moved to Norfolk to monitor the situation.
The Discovery had positioned herself in the Lane between Norfolk and Chadwick station with the minefield to the sides, preventing flank attacks. Suddenly, a Cruiser, code-name Uppercut, accompanied by Gibraltar, commanded by Rear Admiral Brown, as well as LSF bomber Hussar arrived on the scene. I remained out of the firing lines and monitored the surrounding area, to ensure that no other hostile ships decided to make a mess of things. Uppercut handled the Discovery efficiently, putting it out of action in a matter of minutes.
I have all of the footage stowed in the chip of my Defender and have downloaded it to a secure drive in the event we require it for future study.

Subject: Omicron Nu, Order| and MA|
Good evening members of the Command Staff,
Here is an update on the situation in Omicron Nu, we are experiencing a higher than normal volume of traffic over the last week or so. From Order Agents to now Outcasts blatantly using our gate for nefarious deeds. It is my prediction that the traffic from Omicron Nu to Virginia will only increase over the coming months and we are going to need more manpower filtering out the undesirables (Order, Outcasts, Corsairs, etc). For now these forces seem hesitant to approach the Vermont which is good sign. The Order Pilot claims they were out on a marked patrol path but I believe it was only an excuse to get close to our operations here in the system. Shepard out.

[05.07.2022 12:42:04] Order|Miles.Drake: My intentions are simple - following marked patrol path.
[05.07.2022 12:42:28] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: is it intentional for your path to be so close to our gate?
[05.07.2022 12:43:40] Order|Miles.Drake: We are watching Omicrons from corner to corner. Not my fault you decided to place supergates in such dangerous place
[05.07.2022 12:44:38] 46th|LNS-Vermont: Shepard: I mean, "I" didnt place anything. However it was the Governments decision to do so. And my responsibility to protect
