Nevertheless, representing my person is not the crux of the matter: the correct representation of Malta's power is. It appears that years were not merciful to us, from Lords who rule by the divide and conquer we turned into some pathetic researchers who making deals with Corsairs and Core, instead of simply mixing these degenerates with dirt by the might of ours or by the hands of our slaves, who will do anything we say after being properly educated in the deep caves of Albegna.
But we've become soft! We don't terrify those who lurking in our territory but instead trying to live in peace with them, as... equal? What are we now? Zoners? No! We are the prideful folk of Malta, and we above of this! Cardamine gave us what they will never achieve, so we don't have to equalize ourselves, we have to rule over them! But seems like some who in power forgot of this and instead playing a schemer, making deals with Core, Corsairs and whoever else. What next? Legalization in Liberty? Cooperation with the Gauls? We already had the page of history, dirtied by alliance with Bretonians. Never again.
So here heard my word - if you share my ideas, join me and let's remind Taus who is the King of the yard. If you prefer being peaceful tw*t - then step aside and die in dirt. You heard me. Expect a word very soon. Veratti out.

While I personally do not agree with everything our society has done, pride and blunt force alone will not serve us well here. We are not the Corsairs who breed like rabbits and willingly send their young to their doom so they can prove their worth.
Si, we are better than others, but our lives are few and precious and we should not be heading into battles we do not have to fight in the first place. The Core is not our ally - we simply share the same foes as the Order is busy allying themselves with the Corsairs and waging their holy war against us.
Do not forget that everything we do, we do for keeping Malta safe and our enemies weak and divided. We should be always on the lookout for more suitable intermediaries to spread our influence and fill our coffers, and parties willing to shoot at our foes more than at us.
Recklessly throwing ourselves against Sirius might result in some glorious tales or rumours about our recklessness and prowess, but it will weaken us needlessly as our foes can simply outnumber us if there will be too many of them at the same time.
We are playing a long game and we have to use everything at our disposal - our might, influence, credits, silver tongues or scientists to keep us ahead of our mortal foes. We should not be scared and afraid of showing our power, but we should always keep in mind that in some cases - a soft power can serve us better than a hard, heavy handed solution.

I remember very well the hero of a day that brought our merchandise to the most untrustworthy customer we could find - to the Xenos. While I agree with some points rose, I completely lack understanding how you could ignore the fact that pets of ours can do the dirty job while we observe from the distance. The Xenos are not miei amici, or ‘buddies’ if I would have to use your own words, and I do not think that they will become my friends in the near future. They are my trade partners and distribution intermediaries - and that is already enough for our needs.
As for those Liberty officials or any officials in general - you gravely overestimate the capabilities of our intermediaries. If any of them were capable of such feats, our situation would be easier already and few of the Houses under our direct influence.
No, we do not have to kill them. Cardamine is the best weapon we have against the Houses right now. Their elites are desperate to be something more than their peers - to live longer and to remain youthful. They need to feel special and more than a mere human. We will fulfill their dreams happily through as many distribution networks as possible - for a price, naturalmente.

Signora, you seem to be skilled in the matters of diplomacy - it certainly not something I good at, so how about utilizing our strong sides wise?
Let's say, I locate the station, community or larger part of the Cardamine commercial net and you are fixing this in no time, using your skills. Should you fail, then I and my boys, girls and non-binary come in and make them regret of not swearing healthy to Malta and become a humble Cardamine user. Does it sounds fair and wise, Signora? What's your answer?

Le mie scuse, but that is not what I am doing to expand our business network and spread our influence through Sirius. I much prefer to seek out suitable parties that might be interested in doing business with us - whether they might see it as yet another weapon against their foes, a source of revenue, or both of these options - and deal with their leadership directly.
Flying around individual space stations and forcing them to take Cardamine under threat of violence is something I find somewhat counterproductive to our ongoing, long term strategy.
But perhaps I might be wrong and there are other Maltese interested in your proposed course of action, Signor Verratti. I do not hold any position of power within our society and all of this is just my own personal opinion.
