Grand Admiral,
I am Harold Sommerville, Chief of the Defence Staff and the Admiral of the Her Majesty's Royal Navy. It is an honor and a pleasure to send you this message.
While I do not plan to make this message the start to an official visit, on behalf of the government, I instead wish to inquire upon your personal state and the affairs of the proud military you are in command of. In addition, I also wish to inquire upon the state of the Imperial Family, following the hastily agreed-on peace, if you will excuse the term I have used.
The Admiralty has greatly appreciated the efforts of the Imperial Family to restore order in Rheinland, and we will continue to offer our support for personalities as respected as yours. Director Victor Steiner has also returned to Bretonia, with it the reinstatement of the Secret Intelligence Service. But in spite of that, both our nations are facing many issues, at home and abroad.
Please respond to this message at the earliest convenience. I do not believe a meeting in person is due, but I wish to discuss several important matters, concerning both Bretonia and Rheinland, with you, Grand Admiral.

A pleasure to meet you Sir. I must admit I am a little bit surprised to have your transmission on my screen in the late evening.
I do understand this is a communication between two men. Two leaders of great and honorable militaries. Not between two governments. This being said, I am open to talk and I am looking forward to this conversation.
I am glad to hear about Direktor Steiners return, the secret service helped my noble family and especially the Kaiser‘s family. Please thank him again in my name.
I remember one of his agents being my guest at my Estate during the dark time of Federalism in Rheinland.
But enough of the nostalgia, you said you contacted me to discuss important matters, so please go ahead Sir.
Für den Kaiser! Für das Volk! Für Rheinland!
Hochachtungsvoll,

Grand Admiral,
I highly appreciate the swift response. Do excuse the time, however. Indeed, the timing of such messages is an ability I still have to work on.
Your thanks to the Secret Intelligence Service will be transmitted personally. But now to more important matters.
Bretonia is suffering immense economic damage after the the Republic of Liberty has cut off the majority of the trade and broken an important agreement over the Taus region. It has caused much discontent at home and even greater amongst the nobilty, especially the currently ruling cabinet, led by the Crown Royalists. As unfortunate as it may be, we are left not with time to bandage our wounds, but pressed on to seek news ways of making our Kingdom a better place. With that clarified, I firstly ask, what is the stance that Rheinland, or rather, the Imperial Family, taken against the Republic, whom has masqueraded as a reliable ally whilst attempting to expand into the Hudson system?
Secondly, do you believe that the Imperial Family may be able to regain control? The news of the Federalists brokering a peace -- one that has favored them much more than the Imperial forces and their allies -- has raised many concerns. I understand if you are unable to provide an answer to such a question, yet Bretonia can pledge her support behind such a move, should it be done. The Federalists are mere pests and deserve nothing less of imprisonment due to their terrorist acts during the Civil War that had unfortunately engulfed Rheinland years prior.
I apologize for my hurried inquiries, yet the clock is ticking, and I do not wish to sit idly whilst my home collapses due to foreign influence.
That is all for the time being.
Adm. Sommerville, H.

Kingdom of Bretonia
Our Kaiser and his family indeed have a seat in the government, but well a seat… Nothing more if you know what I mean. I am glad to hear that the Armed Forces are willing to support our Kaiser and to regain his strength. Rheinland has suffered Long enough under the federal Iron Fist.
The Rheinwehr wont let you down. I see you have trouble with Liberty, the Rheinwehr Handelsmarine, pardon, our Merchant Navy, I believe that is how you call it in your language, will send you the necessary supplies and I will ask Krüger to help us, trust me, Krüger supports our Emperor too.
I hope these wäre the words you wanted to hear, Fleet Admiral.
If you have something to add, feel free to go ahead, if not, we can start to set up a document for our militaries that we can use as order and official document.
Für den Kaiser! Für das Volk! Für Rheinland!

Grand Admiral,
There is indeed another matter that I would like to address, most notably concerning the Omegas. As you are well informed by now, both Bretonia and Rheinland previously clashed over the unstable region, a matter which I highly disapprove of, and one that is to be blamed, to my belief, on the Federalists still operating within the government.
With that specified, and with you firm support acknowledged, I wish to make it clear that we are open at the moment for negotiating the status of the Omegas strictly between our two militaries and, in return for offering the absolute support of the Armed Forces of Bretonia to the Imperial Family in reclaiming control and order of the Rheinlandic nation, ask that the Rheinland Military be made aware of how treacherous cooperation with the Republic may be. I also believe that Mr. Lindauer, leader of the Kolleda Battlegroup, whom had become famous for his ability to defend Rheinland, will be more than glad to receive permission to set up camp in the border regions with Liberty. But that is not for I to decide, if you will excuse the term.
Thank you for the generous offer of providing both Kruger and Rheinland Military support. The Kingdom openly welcomes such and we will address it within our next communication, should our proposal be agreed on.

I get your point. The Omegas are not safe at all, I recall our joined Fleet Operation under the Codename Condor. The possibility that such missions are necessary because the Federalists secretly control the government, is given and it’s very high.
I am open aswell to talk about the presence in the Omegas. You may go ahead and tell me what you have in mind.
As for Liberty, we are aware that we might re-think trusting them. I personally do not trust these democrats. But our government seems to do that.
As I know the Kaiser, he won’t support Liberty.
Nun, Herr Sommerville, in the next step let us come to the terms and conditions for the Omegas and the deliveries for your Volk.

Grand Admiral,
I thank you once again for the support presented to our nation. I believe it is of utmost importance that both the Kingdom of Bretonia and the Empire of Rheinland remain focused on assisting with internal and external issues. That the Kaiser would be willing to aid us against the Republic of Liberty speaks volumes about the importance of our cooperation and I personally assure you that once the Imperialists are completely in control, we shall put the Kingdom's absolute support behind your cause.
In regards to the agreement, this is what I believe is fairest for both sides. But still so, freely change the terms to your desire or additionally attach new ones. I will eagerly await a reply.

Grand Admiral,
It appears that now I am the one delayed by bureaucracy. A wonderful tool for some, a nightmare for others. At last, we shall close this chapter. Still so, I wish to inform you of several amendments that we have made to this agreement.
Firstly, and most importantly, it has been agreed on by the government that the Fleet Admirals of both militaries be the permanent ambassadors. While it is not a move that I believe is anticipated, it is one proposed out of necessity. Mr Steiner is well-respected, yet he will prove of much more assistance in his position as Director, rather than ambassador. Similarly, it is entrusted that your highness is well-aware of the diplomatic meetings required to maintain a prosperous relationship with the Crown. Bretonia faces dire times ahead, and thusly we need reliable and professional allies to safeguard our borders in unison with.
Secondly, it has been noted that there is caution regarding the Republic of Liberty. Well-placed caution, at that, but nonetheless enough to raise attention onto the matter. We agree to the last presented point. Neither Bretonia nor Rheinland will seek to directly provoke conflict with Liberty, and instead work together to solidify the current relations. That does not, however, warrant that other parties will not attempt to damage our relation within Rheinland proper, and we have particular interest in a group as of recent weeks: the Technocracy of Auxo.
Whilst we will offer our signature for the proposed point, we ask that, in return, the House of Rheinland moves to block access of the Technocrats to Rheinland itself as a request for increased security for Bretonian shipping and commerce. Should it not be agreeable upon at this moment, we remain open to adjusting the treaty as best seen fit. The point has been added in the treaty, military articles respectively.
Thirdly, we wish to amend the treaty so that it may best serve the interests of both Great Houses. It is our credence that both Bretonia and Rheinland must work together not only in the Omegas, but on the political landscape of Sirius, and not as enemies, but as close allies. We understand that it is not in immediate desire to formalize a defensive pact between the nations, but it is highly requested that such an effort is initiated by this agreement. This point has been added to the secret articles respectively, so that it may be remembered in future diplomatic talks.
