Hacker Liberty Viper Thingy

Another result of my doodling in 3ds max :P

I started out trying to model the slipstream's engines... then put them at 45 degree angles and made four engines instead of two. Then I went on to add liberty-ish wings (like the ones on the defender), and overall it ended up getting a viper kinda shape to it. It also reminds me of that ship from 'the last starfighter'... what was that thing called...

The cockpit took FOREVER to model -_- it's all bars and planes, made 'hollow' so transparent windows could be done. Looking back, the cockpit came out slightly larger than I'd like... makes the engines look a bit small.

Looks very interesting indeed, and yes, quite Libertonian with the wings.

However, it does remind me of the Khaak fighters in X2 - The Threat.

I have no idea.

Originally I was looking to make a heavy version of the slipstream as a lane hacker VHF... but now it doesnt look anything like that.

I'd say use it as a replacement for the liberty navy bomber (the havoc) - but it doesnt really look liberty enough to make it as a liberty bomber.

There's already a Liberty bomber in the making, I think I m rdy is doing it.

Well, this thingy looks very libertysh, so it could be another Light Fighter.
Why should they only have 1 LF?
This ship would fit very well

I dunno, I can always change the wings to remove the liberty appearance.

This thing, IMO, doesnt feel like a light fighter.... it's bulky and has a lot of mass - you could even scale it properly to fit two 'pilots' inside the cockpit like many other bombers have, and make it a real powerhouse.

The problem is just finding a faction that it fits in with.

The ship from The Last Starfighter is called a Gunstar. The proportions are too far off to be a direct comparison, though. And Gunstars don't have wings.

Looks almost like a missile to me.

Edit: You could make it a new defense ship for OSC. It does look like it would fit in next to a Luxury Liner. You'd need to add cushier seats, though.
