Our recent routes took us to check out a Freeport in Omega-55 by the name of KazzMull, where we managed to secure some ore commodities of Premium Scrap as well as Uranium for delivery to the Bretonia area.
After scoring a healthy profit in Cambridge and New London with our cargo, we decided to navigate to the Cortez system. Once there the docking manager of Oceania provided us with some Pristine Ice for delivery to the Omicron Delta system.
Our trip took a bit of a tumble when, upon jumping in the Texas system from New York, we encountered a Pirate transport named Shiv that demanded part of our cargo as well as some credits. For the safety of both crews, we paid his demand and he was on his way happily loaded with our cargo and some useful parting advice.
The remaining cargo we took through the Rheinland systems, then out to the Omicrons through Sigma-15, where we actually had the highlight of our trip chatting up a passenger liner between contracts. It might even mean some business for our organization's bases in the future as well as another passenger hauler for our successful grads from Valley Forge.
Our eventual destination of Omicron Delta was reached, and our Ice sold for a profit. Iridium Ore was secured for delivery to Sabah Shipyards in Coronado, again through the safety of the Rheinland systems.
The return trip was fairly uneventful until AWES-The.Gypsy had some engine troubles requiring docking at Planet Los Angeles in California, and when my ship went ahead into Cortez then to Coronado, we were ambushed by a Royalist going by the ident Saharid that wasn't pleased I was delivering commodities to the Crayter Government and wanted credits to allow our support of Crayter's bases. The pirate was promptly paid and I was allowed to pass to my destination, where the cargo was sold and I took some much earned leave on station.

[05.02.2023 23:54:33] Shiv: Hello there
[05.02.2023 23:54:41] Shiv: Now, no stupid moves
[05.02.2023 23:54:48] AWES-Independence: holding position
[05.02.2023 23:54:50] AWES-The.Gypsy: Hello
[05.02.2023 23:55:04] Shiv: Carefully unload 2710 units of that funky ice of yours, and transfer me 3 million credits
[05.02.2023 23:55:22] Shiv: Unless you want to lose at least one full transport, of course.
[05.02.2023 23:55:47] AWES-Independence: Sounds like we don't have much of a choice in the matter. Unloading
[05.02.2023 23:55:58] Shiv: You are completely correct
[05.02.2023 23:56:35] Shiv: And now, 3 millions
[05.02.2023 23:57:16] Shiv: Received and processed, you can go.
[05.02.2023 23:57:18] AWES-Independence: It should be on its way shortly
[05.02.2023 23:57:27] AWES-Independence: We are headed out
[05.02.2023 23:57:35] Shiv: Next time be more watchful
[06.02.2023 01:50:20] Saharid: Where is it do you think you are going?
[06.02.2023 01:50:28] AWES-Independence: Umm... to Sabah?
[06.02.2023 01:50:37] Saharid: Well, it is one way to put it.
[06.02.2023 01:50:52] AWES-Independence: How's Coronado? Seems hostile today.
[06.02.2023 01:50:52] Saharid: It will cost you 12 million credits, supporter of the filthy crayterians.
[06.02.2023 01:51:14] Saharid: I am all up to discourage people from supporting these... gypsies.
[06.02.2023 01:51:40] AWES-Independence: Alright. Far be it from me to disagree under these conditions
[06.02.2023 01:51:50] Saharid: I am not in business of killing civilians, but if you disobey, I will have to make an exception.
[06.02.2023 01:52:17] [2023-02-06] 01:52:17 You have sent 12.000.000 credits to Saharid.
[06.02.2023 01:52:24] Saharid: Now get out of here.
[06.02.2023 01:52:27] AWES-Independence: credits transmitted
[06.02.2023 01:52:34] AWES-Independence: very well...
[06.02.2023 00:13:26] AWES-Independence: Good day FS-Morgan's.Profit!
[06.02.2023 00:13:35] FS-Morgan's.Profit: Tally ho, Independence. Keeping it safe out there?
[06.02.2023 00:14:12] AWES-Independence: It was a little dicey in Texas. Pirate encounter. But we survived. How are you lately?
[06.02.2023 00:15:01] FS-Morgan's.Profit: A little dicey since me and my boys traded out the old yacht for this surplus liner.
[06.02.2023 00:15:24] FS-Morgan's.Profit: Finding new passenger transport jobs on a brand new transponder is tough, so we've been moving regular cargo for a bit.
[06.02.2023 00:16:00] AWES-Independence: You do what you have to. Bills need payment!
[06.02.2023 00:16:24] FS-Morgan's.Profit: What kinda ship was it in Texas? I caught some trouble that way on my last boat.
[06.02.2023 00:16:34] AWES-Independence: I would think passenger runs are quite frequent. OS&C seems busy all the time.
[06.02.2023 00:17:10] AWES-Independence: One of those pirate transport types. Nasty little things, but effective against our weak hulls.
[06.02.2023 00:17:45] AWES-Independence: We didn't chance that though - had to pay out in credits and cargo.
[06.02.2023 00:17:54] FS-Morgan's.Profit: Was the ID "Masquerade"?
[06.02.2023 00:18:07] AWES-Independence: I'll be filing a claim back at base for this one.
[06.02.2023 00:18:08] FS-Morgan's.Profit: Also, captain on the Gypsy, good day to you.
[06.02.2023 00:18:31] AWES-Independence: No, it was under the callsign "Shiv".
[06.02.2023 00:18:31] AWES-The.Gypsy: Thanks !
[06.02.2023 00:18:48] AWES-Independence: An obvious pirate upon approach.
[06.02.2023 00:19:02] AWES-The.Gypsy: Good day for you too !
[06.02.2023 00:19:11] FS-Morgan's.Profit: Hrm, arright. Watch your tail if you score a lock on "Masquerade" too - one of those little Rheinland pirate ships.
[06.02.2023 00:19:43] AWES-Independence: I'll keep an eye out and let our security operations know. They like to track these frequent pirates in all areas.
[06.02.2023 00:20:13] FS-Morgan's.Profit: Yeah, as for the job, OSC has that glitz and glamour working for 'em. Takin' a freelance ship is riding coach.
[06.02.2023 00:20:14] AWES-Independence: I'll have to ask for escort if we head out this way again - a bit of deterrent always seem to help.
[06.02.2023 00:20:25] FS-Morgan's.Profit: Ain't that the truth.
[06.02.2023 00:20:57] FS-Morgan's.Profit: Didn't think I'd see Interspace this far out actually. Where you headed?
[06.02.2023 00:21:07] AWES-Independence: Maybe government contracts might be the way to go for the 'budget passenger' trips - they must subsidize a bit for citizens
[06.02.2023 00:21:24] FS-Morgan's.Profit: Yeah, that's a good idea actually...
[06.02.2023 00:21:43] AWES-Independence: We decided to check out Delta's markets with Ice today. Always keeping a pulse on the industry in all areas where we can!
[06.02.2023 00:22:24] FS-Morgan's.Profit: Huh, nice. I guess when you guys put "All Worlds" in your name, you mean it.
[06.02.2023 00:23:04] AWES-Independence: Exactly. It's more than a catch phrase - it's a business model as well.
[06.02.2023 00:23:27] AWES-Independence: Actually come to think of it, Interspace might have a tip for your passenger operations.
[06.02.2023 00:23:56] AWES-Independence: Or a regular route at least
[06.02.2023 00:24:06] FS-Morgan's.Profit: No kiddin'? I was just thinking of ringing up New Berlin. Think I've heard of the Houses commissioning troopships before.
[06.02.2023 00:24:19] FS-Morgan's.Profit: Whaddyou got in mind, pal?
[06.02.2023 00:24:49] AWES-Independence: Well if you head out to Liberty, try docking with Valley Forge in Penn. They are running new grads out to Renzu all the time
[06.02.2023 00:26:11] FS-Morgan's.Profit: Hey, yeah, we ran a graduating class up to Renzu on our little yacht before. Energetic bunch, made a huge mess of the suites.
[06.02.2023 00:26:29] FS-Morgan's.Profit: I got a lot more staff on hand with this crate though.
[06.02.2023 00:26:55] FS-Morgan's.Profit: Long as you're tossin' out good advice, guys, any way I can make a return trip work?
[06.02.2023 00:27:18] AWES-Independence: From here?
[06.02.2023 00:27:30] AWES-Independence: Or with the grad trip?
[06.02.2023 00:27:42] FS-Morgan's.Profit: Nah, from Kusari. The shipyards after we drop off the Valley Forge nuggets.
[06.02.2023 00:27:49] FS-Morgan's.Profit: Yeah, the grads.
[06.02.2023 00:28:44] AWES-Independence: Well I know for certain that our HQ in NY, Salt Lake Station, always needs Reinforced Alloys, and currently Optronic Arrays.
[06.02.2023 00:29:00] AWES-Independence: Deshima has the arrays, and Ames has the RA for the trip back.
[06.02.2023 00:30:08] FS-Morgan's.Profit: That's a nice short little route. Should tide us over until we score a big contract. I think I'll take you up on that.
[06.02.2023 00:30:37] AWES-Independence: Heck, we even arranged hull segments from Pittsburgh back to Penn for Penn FP near Erie as a route.
[06.02.2023 00:31:16] AWES-Independence: Glad it could work for you. Working out Logistics is a passion of ours!
[06.02.2023 00:31:52] FS-Morgan's.Profit: Hah, it shows man, it shows. Am I gonna need to have my guys log those material drop-offs on the Net?
[06.02.2023 00:31:56] FS-Morgan's.Profit: At Salt Lake.
[06.02.2023 00:32:40] AWES-Independence: Well, they don't require it, as we are happy to log the materials either way - but those who report do qualify for our cargo
[06.02.2023 00:32:48] AWES-Independence: insurance products - free of charge.
[06.02.2023 00:33:25] FS-Morgan's.Profit: And they say capitalism doesn't have any upsides. I'm in, pal.
[06.02.2023 00:33:39] AWES-Independence: Excellent!
[06.02.2023 00:34:16] FS-Morgan's.Profit: You'll hear from either Captain Ustich, that's me, or my first officer Gutierrez once we touch base.
[06.02.2023 00:34:34] AWES-Independence: I'll let our team know!
[06.02.2023 00:34:49] AWES-Independence: Alright, we'll be on our way! Delta bound!
[06.02.2023 00:34:50] FS-Morgan's.Profit: Gotta actually get this bucket back to Liberty first. Might want to detour through Bret-town if Texas is hot.
[06.02.2023 00:35:17] AWES-Independence: makes sense. Keeping safe is important and profitable.
[06.02.2023 00:35:22] FS-Morgan's.Profit: Very good gentlemen. Keep those guns hot.
[06.02.2023 00:35:29] FS-Morgan's.Profit: Adios to ya.
[06.02.2023 00:35:36] AWES-Independence: Safe skies, friend!
Despite the setbacks with the piracy encounters, we had some fairly profitable routes and made new contacts in the industry! Another great day of trade in Sirius!
Sincerely,
Doug Sullivan

Good day Executive Offices,
My crew and I recently completed an ore run from the Edge Worlds to the Kusari systems and back. We encountered multiple ships along the way, all friendly interactions. Some were crewed by Freelancers, others by EFL, and one by Orbital Spa. We greeted them all with respect and kindness and thankfully they returned the gesture, with both crews wishing each other safe travels as we left each others scanning ranges.
In the Tau-23 system we even encountered a group of Zoners studying nearby anomalies. We tried to get a closer look out of curiosity but we were advised against it for our own safety. We are now making our way to Bretonia trying to avoid the squads of pirates that are ever so rampantly patrolling the area. Our crew is not without a bit of worry, as talks of the need to upgrade to a more heavily protected ship have been going around. I will consider these suggestions in great detail to further increase the protection of AWES employees and cargo.
It's these long voyages across the Sirius Sector that really make one sit and contemplate to chaotic beauty of the universe. Compared to the orbiting gas giants and asteroid fields, living organisms seem to be nothing but a quick flash of photons from a powerful energy source, dissapearing as fast as it appeared. This may sound pessimistic, but I believe it is the best realization I've had so far. We all have the chance to exist even if it is for a small amount of time. We all have the ability to affect the things around us. How we affect the things around us is our decision. Will we be a flash of photons from the nearest star, giving life to the planets around it and illuminating them against the backdrop of colorful interstellar clouds? Or will we be the flash of photons emitted from the guns of pirates menacingly threatening our convoys? It is up to us to decide.
Sincerely,
Jay.Gould

I've created an outline for your review and approval to try out once the initial orientation at Salt Lake Station is completed. Please let me know if you think I've left anything out or can combine elements for some efficiencies.
Cargo Surveyor - From the Classroom to extensive Training in the Field
Orientation regarding AWES policies, work ethics, and goals - give them a taste of what corporate life will be like.
Valley Forge Flight School, Pennsylvania - recruits will join new flight school students in basic aviation and repair fundamental courses.
Newark Station, New York - recruits will join on-site Cargo Surveyors, and learn about Liberty tech lines as well as Civilian ship models.
Renzu Shipyard, Shikoku - recruits will learn from actual builders, designers, and engineers at Renzu regarding their line and its fundamentals.
Roppongi Station, New Tokyo - recruits will train with on-site Cargo Surveyors, learning about Kusari ship classes.
Furyoku Station, Okinawa - recruits will learn about Gas Miners Guild ships as well as damages caused by corrosive nebula or explosive Helium Gas.
Waterloo Station, New London - recruits will learn about Bretonian ships as well as other local vessels. Damages incurred by the floating debris clouds and Toxic Smog clouds will be covered.
Versailles Station, Ile Du France - Gallia ships and tech as well as further debris damages including radioactivity will be presented.
Bonn Station, New Berlin - Rheinland ships and tech as well as Dark Matter Storm interference and aluminium mining hazard damage potential.
Nauru, Omicron Delta - Core and Zoner ships will be covered in this final segment, along with Omicron dangers associated with Organic Material Clouds, Irregular Asteroids, and Alien Device Dangers.
Upon completion, apprenticing with the veterans will begin in each new employee's assigned base of operations. Once suitable skills and confidence are built up, new staff will have the opportunity of 'ranking' their choices of next assignment location (because not everyone can go to Roppongi.) Based on these selections and available spots in each location, staff will be assigned and will have to wait a 2 year term before receiving this choice again.
Feedback is welcome - this is not a final draft of the new process. Thanks for your support!
We're not perfect, just insured,

We had a fairly uneventful few trips to Kusari for Optronic Arrays taking care of that requirement.
Our next trips took us to Magellan for more Armaments loads for the base. Aware that NHI's Elcano base is always short on Reinforced Alloys, I made a few trips for extra pay for this run.
After the full amounts of Armaments reached their Dublin destination, we proceeded to New London for a few more loads - this time for industrial hardware.
After the docking crew took our third load of Industrial Hardware, we called it a day.
I'm not sure why you Executives all of a sudden need everything at once, but we'll try to meet your demands until the work is done.
Sincerely,
Vern Weber

Good day Executive Offices,
My assignment today was the successful completion of the Daumann Ruhrpott contract signed only a short time ago.
From Salt Lake Station, New York, I proceeded to pick up Optronic Arrays in Shikoku Station at Deshima, to avoid diversion in Honshu, as it was out of my way and I knew time was of the essence today. The only activity worth mentioning for this route down to Rheinland was the quick pass in the trade lane intersection in Stuttgart of a Freelancer in a Pitbull Pirate Train ID'd as CriminalMeans, running Uncut Diamonds somewhere. He was a little short with me on the customary greetings, but maybe it had been a long day of routes in their world...
Second load picked up from Planet Honshu, I resumed the course back to Rheinland, taking note of positive things in Kusari, like new construction around the Planet. The course to Stuttgart was uneventful and the load delivered without incident.
For the majority of the remaining trips, this was the norm - Industrial Hardware and Hull Segment routes from Planet New Berlin were executed without any issues and few encounters. It wasn't until the last few Robotic Hardware loads that I caught the attention of some locals, of the xenophobic type...
Returning with my second of four loads of Robotic Hardware from Wuppertal in Cologne, I picked up a contact showing as Hostile as I approached Freiburg. Further scans determined the ship to be a Farmer's' Alliance Bomber of the "Sense" variety. The trade lane was disabled as I tried in vain to escape under the cover of Freiburg's weapon fire.
Unfortunately this warrior, whose name translated into "Dusk", wanted my ship to depart Rheinland space, due to it's group's anger over SynthFoods developments in Rheinland. They were so focused on his hatred that other local transports like {DHC} vessels were allowed to pass without incident, given they were at least local. So distrusting of our intentions were they that we were escorted from Freiburg all the way to Heisenberg Research in Cologne, where we choose to drop off the Robotic Hardware and cooperate after such an event.
I've attached the records for your review - if there isn't room for improvement with our policies in Rheinland, at least we can maybe compensate with more escorts during our supply contracts there, as we are bound to eventually encounter losses, especially with pilots who aren't as cool headed as this particular one.
[12.02.2023 14:57:47] Abenddammerung: Well well well.
[12.02.2023 14:57:50] Abenddammerung: Stop.
[12.02.2023 14:58:03] AWES-Ambition: I guess I must.
[12.02.2023 14:58:04] Abenddammerung: What do we have here.
[12.02.2023 14:58:06] Abenddammerung: A foreigner.
[12.02.2023 14:58:12] AWES-Ambition: How can we help out the Alliance today
[12.02.2023 14:58:18] Abenddammerung: Delivering outside products in my home.
[12.02.2023 14:58:28] Abenddammerung: You can "help" me by not importing anything.
[12.02.2023 14:58:51] AWES-Ambition: Are you against technology? Or just our origins?
[12.02.2023 14:58:56] Abenddammerung: What would a foreigner like you know about the hard work we've put into making what we're doing.
[12.02.2023 14:59:04] Abenddammerung: Hands and fingers covered in soot and grim and dirt.
[12.02.2023 14:59:35] Abenddammerung: All that much effort for nothing, because of the likes of you who waltz in, sell your things, ruin our markets and leave.
[12.02.2023 14:59:49] AWES-Ambition: We try to keep up to date on these issues, we even have means of arbitration through some in cases.
[12.02.2023 15:00:13] Abenddammerung: Is that so.
[12.02.2023 15:00:29] AWES-Ambition: But we are just insurers and run the odd cargo, hardly causing issues to create harm.
[12.02.2023 15:00:42] {DHC}Tyrol: Guten tag
[12.02.2023 15:00:54] Abenddammerung: Stay out of this, Daumann.
[12.02.2023 15:01:04] {DHC}Tyrol: Very well
[12.02.2023 15:01:10] AWES-Ambition: My presence as a Liberty vessel is subject to scurtiny today
[12.02.2023 15:01:19] {DHC}Tyrol: Understandable
[12.02.2023 15:01:20] Abenddammerung: Yes, very much so.
[12.02.2023 15:01:35] AWES-Ambition: Surely there is some way to reach an accommodation
[12.02.2023 15:01:44] AWES-Ambition: Without violence
[12.02.2023 15:01:52] Abenddammerung: I'll put it in another way.
[12.02.2023 15:02:09] Abenddammerung: The foundation of our market is based on agriculture - like any other society of ancient history.
[12.02.2023 15:02:32] Abenddammerung: But by changing the people's needs into cheaper products, not only are we hurting ourselves but also completely erasing the-
[12.02.2023 15:02:44] Abenddammerung: -very idea of society we've evolved so much to protect.
[12.02.2023 15:03:12] AWES-Ambition: Well we can applaud your ideals, but these methods will not bring about revolution
[12.02.2023 15:03:16] Abenddammerung: If you really "want" to help me, you could just leave. Don't tarnish our stocks with your things.
[12.02.2023 15:03:39] AWES-Ambition: So exit Rheinland space is my option today?
[12.02.2023 15:03:48] Abenddammerung: That, or I can shoot you until you do.
[12.02.2023 15:04:14] AWES-Ambition: I would say that is no option at all, so I will comply and exit to Cologne.
[12.02.2023 15:04:42] Abenddammerung: Surely you can deliver these products elsewhere?
[12.02.2023 15:04:49] Abenddammerung: To, say, Bretonia.
[12.02.2023 15:05:00] AWES-Ambition: Hmmm
[12.02.2023 15:05:02] Abenddammerung: Any other colony with a shit economy that enjoys cheap labour.
[12.02.2023 15:05:30] AWES-Ambition: I'm sure the Freelancers at the research colony in Cologne can use these as well.
[12.02.2023 15:05:42] AWES-Ambition: Does it matter where they go, as long as its not here?
[12.02.2023 15:05:50] Abenddammerung: As long as it's not here.
[12.02.2023 15:06:37] AWES-Ambition: Understood, we'll have to see what Interspace can do to find out more and improve relations here, to avoid such situations agai
[12.02.2023 15:06:40] AWES-Ambition: again
[12.02.2023 15:06:46] Abenddammerung: Wise.
[12.02.2023 15:06:55] AWES-Ambition: Then we shall take our leave
[12.02.2023 15:07:01] Abenddammerung: I will escort you there.
[12.02.2023 15:07:05] AWES-Ambition: very well
[12.02.2023 15:08:01] Abenddammerung: Your Libertonian peers at Synth Foods are also responsible for thousands of people losing their jobs.
[12.02.2023 15:08:02] AWES-Ambition: until next time
[12.02.2023 15:08:40] Abenddammerung: I'm only making sure you're following through.
[12.02.2023 15:09:00] AWES-Ambition: Ah, you really have no trust for anything from Liberty, do you?
[12.02.2023 15:09:05] Abenddammerung: How could we?
[12.02.2023 15:09:12] Abenddammerung: You robbed us of our jobs.
[12.02.2023 15:09:29] AWES-Ambition: That's a severe generalization of all Liberty.
[12.02.2023 15:09:39] AWES-Ambition: But we are in no position to argue today.
[12.02.2023 15:09:49] Abenddammerung: Most of your peers did.
[12.02.2023 15:10:03] Abenddammerung: I'm not blaming you, I'm blaming the corporations you serve.
[12.02.2023 15:10:26] AWES-Ambition: Maybe there's a little more truth in that. But hardly means it had any Interspace involvement.
[12.02.2023 15:10:36] AWES-Ambition: Ah, understood.
[12.02.2023 15:11:08] Abenddammerung: You are probably a normal person trying to eke out a living.
[12.02.2023 15:11:22] Abenddammerung: I'm only here to remind people that they are doing it for the wrong masters.
[12.02.2023 15:12:18] AWES-Ambition: Message received. We unfortunately are all slaves to our environments and need for credit in life.
[12.02.2023 15:12:37] AWES-Ambition: I thank you for the message and not 'sending a message' today.
[12.02.2023 15:12:51] Abenddammerung: We're not monsters. I'm just trying to help my economy.
[12.02.2023 15:13:57] AWES-Ambition: So this is a wrong that definitely can't be set right down the road with efforts on Liberty's part?
[12.02.2023 15:14:13] AWES-Ambition: I ask because my corporates will want to know.
[12.02.2023 15:14:27] AWES-Ambition: They are problem solvers that way.
[12.02.2023 15:14:35] AWES-Ambition: Especially when it comes to the economy.
[12.02.2023 15:15:19] Abenddammerung: Cheap producers are the ones who have bloated the market - our market. Costing thousands of people their jobs.
[12.02.2023 15:15:24] Abenddammerung: With no retribution from Rheinland.
[12.02.2023 15:16:01] Abenddammerung: The corporations have indirectly affected us.
[12.02.2023 15:16:37] AWES-Ambition: So what would you have Liberty do, not compete in Rheinland with any products? Just engage markets elsewhere solely?
[12.02.2023 15:16:58] Abenddammerung: Not every import is bad. Globalization is inevitable.
[12.02.2023 15:17:09] Abenddammerung: We don't have gold suppliers, so we rely on Bretonia.
[12.02.2023 15:17:35] Abenddammerung: And we don't have any industrial sizeable gold pockets either, so, again, it all falls on Bretonia.
[12.02.2023 15:17:40] Abenddammerung: We have other resources they need.
[12.02.2023 15:17:43] Abenddammerung: And so on.
[12.02.2023 15:17:53] Death: -|Schnitzel|- suffered a self-inflicted catastrophic decompression.
[12.02.2023 15:18:01] Abenddammerung: But something that everyone has is a terrain that can be soiled.
[12.02.2023 15:18:09] Abenddammerung: The bounty and the harvest of nature.
[12.02.2023 15:18:35] Abenddammerung: Something that was completely swept off the rug by Synth Foods, who chose to make lab-grown tubes.
[12.02.2023 15:18:52] AWES-Ambition: Ah, the renewable products that keep giving so long as they are properly cared for.
[12.02.2023 15:19:06] AWES-Ambition: Not the Synth products, the nature
[12.02.2023 15:19:34] Abenddammerung: We have grown, AS A SPECIES mind you, with fork in hand and a plate of harvest before us.
[12.02.2023 15:19:36] Abenddammerung: Not with... this.
[12.02.2023 15:19:55] AWES-Ambition: SynthFoods definitely serves a growing market - unfortunately their deviation from nature was likely due to pressure to
[12.02.2023 15:20:12] AWES-Ambition: keep up their production ahead of what nature could serve
[12.02.2023 15:20:55] Abenddammerung: But that's why we have hydroponics. Fields we can toil at any time of the year.
[12.02.2023 15:21:22] Abenddammerung: It's just a greedy excuse for them to give what we all NEED at the lowest possible price.
[12.02.2023 15:21:23] AWES-Ambition: I suppose that technology works to solve that issue. True.
[12.02.2023 15:21:24] Abenddammerung: Food.
[12.02.2023 15:21:32] Abenddammerung: Without food, we're dead.
[12.02.2023 15:22:18] Abenddammerung: It's as simple as that. You could be a Cretan, or a Gallian, it doesn't matter what you are.
[12.02.2023 15:22:28] Abenddammerung: It's infuriating.
[12.02.2023 15:23:04] AWES-Ambition: Humans have always proceeded to expand at almost unsustainable rates - it's in our nature, and likely not to change.
[12.02.2023 15:23:22] AWES-Ambition: Unfortunately, it leads to these issues. Of how to serve the NEED.
[12.02.2023 15:23:57] Abenddammerung: Indeed.
[12.02.2023 15:24:19] Abenddammerung: But that's where Synth Foods failed.
[12.02.2023 15:24:42] Abenddammerung: They did not want to wait for the harvest and the bumper crops.
[12.02.2023 15:25:02] Abenddammerung: And instead chose to think about the immediate present, delivering... paste... gel... things to your plate.
[12.02.2023 15:25:22] Abenddammerung: It's a shift in the economy nobody ever anticipated.
[12.02.2023 15:25:57] AWES-Ambition: But immediate is a sign of advanacement we are told! Why wait when innovation can immediately provide?
[12.02.2023 15:26:16] Death: Gabriel2088 was put out of action by a hostile vessel.
[12.02.2023 15:26:47] Abenddammerung: Because "innovation" has set us backwards, us, the normal folk who want to provide food the way our ancestors did.
[12.02.2023 15:27:45] Abenddammerung: It is just. Regrettable.
[12.02.2023 15:28:03] AWES-Ambition: So you would advocate for more bio-domes, advanced farming methods, hydroponic stations?
[12.02.2023 15:28:45] Abenddammerung: Yes, it's that simple. More expensive, but ethical at the very least.
[12.02.2023 15:28:48] Abenddammerung: Normal.
[12.02.2023 15:28:51] Abenddammerung: Humane.
[12.02.2023 15:29:30] AWES-Ambition: Unfortunately, more expensive usually means government would have to subsidize the difference to make it a reasonable
[12.02.2023 15:29:35] AWES-Ambition: choice to the populace.
[12.02.2023 15:30:12] AWES-Ambition: I'm not sure if Rheinland would adjust other areas to support this option in the budgets.
[12.02.2023 15:30:27] Abenddammerung: That's the problem, Rheinland sold its plates to Synth Foods.
[12.02.2023 15:30:35] Abenddammerung: So I'm here to change that.
[12.02.2023 15:30:42] AWES-Ambition: I guess like any house, it all comes down to the almighty use of the tax credit.
[12.02.2023 15:31:19] Abenddammerung: Hrm.
[12.02.2023 15:31:24] Death: trademark was put out of action by a hostile vessel.
[12.02.2023 15:32:00] AWES-Ambition: I'd imagine there is significant pressence in changing hearts and minds - to see this need. Because harrassing traders likely
[12.02.2023 15:32:07] AWES-Ambition: won't be enough for change, unfortunately.
[12.02.2023 15:32:19] Abenddammerung: It's a start. To gain Rheinland's attention, at least.
[12.02.2023 15:32:42] Abenddammerung: If a strike or a formal complaint won't get the government's attention then surely a death toll will.
[12.02.2023 15:32:57] AWES-Ambition: Well you can be sure they will hear of this incident, as I have to report it as our policy. We were supplying a Rheinland base,
[12.02.2023 15:33:00] AWES-Ambition: after all.
[12.02.2023 15:33:24] AWES-Ambition: But I appreciate not being a death toll statistic.
[12.02.2023 15:33:34] Abenddammerung: Not with your products you won't. The other Freelancers will pay good money for it.
[12.02.2023 15:34:11] Abenddammerung: Like I said, we're not monsters. We don't kill for fun, like the Hessians do.
[12.02.2023 15:34:50] Abenddammerung: And believe me, if there was a Rote Hessen in my place, there would not have been any discourse.
[12.02.2023 15:34:50] AWES-Ambition: Understood and accepted. I'm moving to the research station. I'll let them have this load, to comply with your request.
[12.02.2023 15:35:01] Abenddammerung: Great. I'll follow through.
[12.02.2023 15:36:05] Abenddammerung: Ah, old Heisenberg.
[12.02.2023 15:36:15] Abenddammerung: Yes, they will definitely need your equipment.
[12.02.2023 15:36:37] AWES-Ambition: Makes sense, lots of researchers from all over use this station.
[12.02.2023 15:37:11] AWES-Ambition: Well, until next time, pilot.
[12.02.2023 15:37:18] Abenddammerung: Auf Wiedersehen.
I followed up with our Daumann contact at Ruhrpott to update the contract status and assure them the last portion would be delivered in due time.
Sincerely,

Captain - AWES-Ambition All Worlds Enterprises & Securities
My duties today had me assigned to escort two of our fleet vessels during their convoy with different commodities to Kusari from Liberty and back again. It was a fairly routine run, with no hostile encounters and a few instances of friendly interaction with neutral vessels.
From my starting point at Salt Lake Station, I proceeded to Texas to rendezvous with inbound AWES-Capital.Gains, fresh from completing the last few runs required for our recent Daumann contract. The ship had managed to secure some Uncut Diamond cargo for the return trip to Liberty, and was in Texas when I met up with them at the Jump Gate from New York. Upon entry of the system, the ship was in contact with our local 5th Fleet, as there were hostiles in the area with which the fleet was concerned.
[12.02.2023 23:38:15] AWES-Todd.Marshall: Good day, 5th|Antoineuhamel!
[12.02.2023 23:38:20] 5th|Antoineuhamel: Greetings.
[12.02.2023 23:38:22] AWES-Capital.Gains: Yes he was entering the jumpgate from Bering into Hamburg. I only managed to see him for a few seconds as he way leaving
[12.02.2023 23:38:35] 5th|Antoineuhamel: Did you happen to get its callsign?
[12.02.2023 23:39:19] AWES-Capital.Gains: I believe it was the Eridanus
[12.02.2023 23:40:07] 5th|Antoineuhamel: Alright, noted. Thank you for your assistance, pilot. Here are some credits for the information you provided the Fleet with.
[12.02.2023 23:40:11] AWES-Capital.Gains: A/)-LV-Eridanus. He must've docked in some freelancer base afterwards
[12.02.2023 23:41:02] AWES-Capital.Gains: Why thank you sir! I'll keep my eyes open on our scanners and report anything else to Liberty officials!
[12.02.2023 23:41:09] 5th|Antoineuhamel: Noted, pilot. Thank you for your help. You are free to proceed.
[12.02.2023 23:41:57] AWES-Capital.Gains: Thank you. Safe travels officers, thanks for keeping our trading routes in liberty free and clear of danger
[12.02.2023 23:42:07] AWES-Todd.Marshall: assuming formation for escort, Capital Gains
Assuming escort of AWES-Capital.Gains, we proceeded to link up with the AWES-Legacy, supplying Salt Lake Station. The three of us then proceeded to Cleveland Station, in Pennsylvania, where the two transports picked up Helium for sale to our allies in the Sigmas, the Gas Miners Guild. Our trip was uneventful up to Sigma-59, and sale at Niigata Star City went off without incident.
The convoy then attended to GMG's base at Iejima Station, where they secured a load each of Helium-3 for return to Liberty space.
This time we ran into a few ships when passing through the Kepler system - one from the Starlight Research Consortium and another who'd mentioned hearing about the upcoming Race Event planned in the Dublin system.
//Passing through Kepler, near Freeport
[13.02.2023 00:39:55] AWES-Todd.Marshall: Good day, SLRC-RS>Tungsten!
[13.02.2023 00:39:57] SLRC-RS>Tungsten: Sailas: Salutations!
//Approaching Jump Gate to Colorado, ship spotted in transit towards Freeport, exits lane as we exit near gate
[13.02.2023 00:40:11] AWES-Todd.Marshall: Good day, RACE-"Sunshine"!
[13.02.2023 00:40:42] RACE-"Sunshine": Howdy friends. Keep your heads on a swivel.
[13.02.2023 00:40:44] AWES-Todd.Marshall: Where are you racing to out here, Zoner?
[13.02.2023 00:41:01] RACE-"Sunshine": Well, I /was/ going to ferry batteries from Ames Research Station.
[13.02.2023 00:41:10] RACE-"Sunshine": Turns out there's not really a lot of room in here for that.
[13.02.2023 00:41:15] RACE-"Sunshine": Was worth a shot.
[13.02.2023 00:41:45] AWES-Capital.Gains: That thing must be cramped...
[13.02.2023 00:41:51] AWES-Capital.Gains: Is there a toilet in there?
[13.02.2023 00:41:55] AWES-Todd.Marshall: Well sorry to hear that didn't work out.
[13.02.2023 00:42:07] RACE-"Sunshine": Nope, you gotta stop somewhere if nature's callin'.
[13.02.2023 00:42:23] RACE-"Sunshine": All the fat's trimmed, it's 100% speed.
[13.02.2023 00:42:24] AWES-Todd.Marshall: Tight quarters mean taking shorter trips.
[13.02.2023 00:42:40] AWES-Todd.Marshall: But yeah i'd imagine it's fast.
[13.02.2023 00:42:55] RACE-"Sunshine": Yeah, I'll need to stretch my legs on New Tokyo on the way back. And put up with Kusari customs, /again/...
[13.02.2023 00:43:03] RACE-"Sunshine": Where you folks on to?
[13.02.2023 00:43:16] AWES-Todd.Marshall: Back home to Liberty with some fuels...
[13.02.2023 00:43:45] AWES-Capital.Gains: Aye fuels, big money fuels. Eco friendly too.... i think
[13.02.2023 00:44:03] AWES-Todd.Marshall: hmmm yes, let's go with that.
[13.02.2023 00:44:10] RACE-"Sunshine": Did I hear right from a buddy of yours that you were gonna announce a racing event here soon?
[13.02.2023 00:44:35] AWES-Todd.Marshall: Oh the Dublin Races? You've heard the rumors already?
[13.02.2023 00:44:53] RACE-"Sunshine": I was running some time trials when a captain of yours hinted me in on it.
[13.02.2023 00:45:02] RACE-"Sunshine": Got an ETA?
[13.02.2023 00:45:13] AWES-Todd.Marshall: You must mean Resolution. That guy, he likes to talk..
[13.02.2023 00:45:33] RACE-"Sunshine": Mhm, might've been... can't really recall.
[13.02.2023 00:46:02] AWES-Todd.Marshall: I haven't heard a set date, just soon soon soon, like they are building up the event promotion
[13.02.2023 00:46:21] AWES-Todd.Marshall: Those ad guys, they have a process
[13.02.2023 00:46:21] RACE-"Sunshine": 90 parts anticipation, 10 parts payoff. I hear you.
[13.02.2023 00:46:40] AWES-Capital.Gains: I'd like to know when as well im ready to do some betting
[13.02.2023 00:47:05] AWES-Todd.Marshall: I'm sure when the racers have a few rounds, they'll be some favorites
[13.02.2023 00:47:14] RACE-"Sunshine": Yeah, I'll keep an eye out for it. Thanks for being willing to put some grease into those wheels.
[13.02.2023 00:47:16] RACE-"Sunshine": It's gonna be great.
[13.02.2023 00:48:00] AWES-Todd.Marshall: It seems to be a corporate priority, given the activity I've seen and heard internally.
[13.02.2023 00:48:32] RACE-"Sunshine": Lookin' forward to it! As for now, gotta hit the road.
[13.02.2023 00:48:43] AWES-Todd.Marshall: Safe skies, Zoner friend!
[13.02.2023 00:48:46] RACE-"Sunshine": See you fine fellas later.
[13.02.2023 00:48:53] AWES-Capital.Gains: Alright take care partner.
[13.02.2023 00:49:10] AWES-Todd.Marshall: All clear, we're headed to the Colorado system!
After this Kepler conversation, we successfully worked our way to Planet Pittsburgh and sold the Helium-3 to the facility.
All vessels proceeded back to Salt Lake Station, for some R&R as well as their next assignments.
Banishing Bandits and Bogeys is no Bother!

Good day Don and fellow executive team,
I'm still on mission all the way the #$@% out here in Delta, chasing Iridium supply leads and smiling at the Core, whom are so serious they don't even smile back.
They really need some more racy entertainment out here on the fringe - maybe then both the Zoners and the Core could forget about all the things trying to kill them while they excavate old minerals and technologies, for a time at least. I think they feel to let their guard down is to invite misfortune... hard to disagree with it being here now, seeing their average day-to-day existence. Both groups are a hardy bunch.
I've been doing some light surveying runs along the standard routes as well as slightly off path in the region, just to get a feel for the vibe in this space... I've seen a few Nomads trying to intercept me but security on the fields usually gets to them first or I have the opportunity to disengage due to the distances. It's a quite a difference from our crying about piracy in the house space lanes - I know these things will likely engage without a thought about to what house I'm with and the credits of the faction. Our typical deterrents aren't worth @#$@ to alien beings without any cares about our internal economy!
But what I'm really curious about has to do with that report from Gibson some months back. I mean, goddamn! He was in communication with it... meaningful exchanges of information despite the obvious styles of expressing those thoughts... or commands.. do they think? There is so much we don't know.
I'm keeping my eye out - there are all sorts of stories abound in this region from the Zoners and Core contacts where the story of such encounters isn't so benign... But that's how I was sold on this position.. not dull, not boring... having said that... I still prefer to stay not dead! So I'll continue my routine of cautious observations and relationship building...
Sincerely,
Colin Parsons

I hereby report my assessment of the threat level of the Omicrons as well as initiating the progress for acquiring a Liner class vessel "Bustard" for the security department.
Callsign: AWES-SEC-FIREBRAND
In the wake of the company purchasing Delta Research Station, the security threat assessment has become more complex and severe. With experience in the Omicrons as a Freelancer and convoy escort, I must stress the need for awareness of the dangers in the Edge Worlds. Not only could it be deemed a warzone, with frequent skirmishes, but as a legal corporation AWES will be seen as ripe for the picking.
It is therefore my humble assessment that the need for security vessels fit for the Edge Worlds is high. As per the registry, I already command a Gunboat class vessel "Corvo" which will do decently at Delta Research Station. It will not however be enough by itself most of the time. That is where the Liner class vessel comes into the ranks. It may not stand against the full skirmishes of the Omicrons, it will however increase our security and be well combined with other security vessels, perhaps increase the deterring of preying individuals or Nomads.
With your permission, I will command and station the Liner in Omicron Delta. From there it can meet and escort our convoys to and from Delta Research Station until reaching less threatening systems and trade lanes. I suggest using Sigma-15 and Freeport 8 as a rendezvous point for convoys heading to Omicron Delta.
I will also add the possibility of fitting the Liner with docking bays, which could aid research vessels in their work at our research station when needing to scale certain distances and systems.
As a Security Officer I welcome the talks with the Zoners about our project. I would also, from a security standpoint, recommend contacting The Core for an assessment, as they do in fact provide security out there.
I will pursue contacting the Zoners about acquiring the Liner at Freeport 6 in Tau-29.
That would be all for now.
Sincerely,

Good day Trex Praetor,
Thank you for your excellent report on assessing our new location's security situation.
I agree a larger vessel for security of our convoys would help even the odds a bit, at least against convoy level piracy threats. As you say, it's a 'warzone' where meeting capital ships is a frequent occurrence, but our contacts in the Core may have some help to provide by means of emergency channels and coordination with our convoys to meet up with patrols to mitigate this issue somewhat.
Your request to obtain the Bustard Liner is approved, with, of course, the condition it remains used for non-house space only. Freeport 8 in Sigma-15 will work as you recommend for a rendezvous point so any convoy escorts can await reinforcement before proceeding into the Omicrons.
I recommend you use the opportunity presented in our upcoming meeting with the Zoners of Galileo to see if they can assist with this project.
As for the Core, we've had an advisor from Extraordinary Investments, Colin Parsons, in Omicron Delta for some time assessing relationships with local Zoners and especially the Core. I will forward these concerns to his attention to follow up with Core's bases as to coordination of security on our supply convoys. Our new presence in the Omicrons should help now show we are more serious about our investments in Delta and will hopefully aid in those discussions.
Sincerely,

Understood, thank you Sir. AWES-SEC-FIREBRAND will be outside house space. I will lift my wish to the Zoners in the upcoming talks and see if they can set me up with those handling the delivery. I've procured information that it would also be possible to pick up the order in the Omicrons. I'm sure they'll give a guiding hand.
With your permission, once the FIREBRAND is online, I would like to do further assessment of the current status of the Omicron hostilities and status, related to our business and connected systems. I am sure Colin Parsons have plenty detail already, definitely when it comes to diplomacy. My impression is that an actual reconnaissance mission could be fruitful for future planning of routes and convoys.
A mere suggestion, I'm duly aware the Executive Offices have organized plans and efforts being conducted. I merely bring advice as a Security Officer under your wing. Please let me know if I am needed in other ways or if you have other plans.
In the meantime, I will get in touch with HR to assist with hiring crew for the FIREBRAND.
Sincerely,
