Guten Tag,
I haven't heard from you for a long time. I hope you haven't fallen victim to the Rhinewehr.
Anyway, I'm contacting you today in the hope that we can negotiate another deal.
I need information in return for which I would be willing to get you something you could use. Of course, I can't get you weapons or anything like that, but I think we can come to an agreement.
If you are interested, I would suggest a meeting.
This time I have also educated myself in hospitality, if you know what I mean.
Franz, Franz, you can't expect me to fall to our prey, your precious Rheinwher, but I do appreciate your concern.
Another deal you say? I hope this one is better than the last. Also, don't think that I forgot your hostile actions towards the Deterrence fleet in Frankfurt. You'll have to throw something big in order to make it up for your oversight.
I'll be on Freeport 5 within 24 hours, but be abvised, don't waste my time.
After Franz pressed send on his message, he embarked on a journey to Freeport 5 in Omega-41.
Hours flew by as he traversed Omega-55 and Omicron Gamma, until finally, he arrived at Freeport 5. Carefully docking his ship among the scarce available docks, Franz took something out of the cargohold and headed straight for the bar.
He scanned the room briefly, but Matteo was nowhere to be seen. Finding a table tucked away in a corner, Franz sat down and waved a waiter over, speaking quietly to him.
Once the waiter left, Franz settled in, patiently waiting to see if Matteo would show up. The air was thick with anticipation as Franz pondered whether Matteo would make an appearance.
Unknown to him, Franz was noticed and analized from head to toe by Matteo. It's obvious from his attitude that his presence deep within Corsair space is out of his comfort zone, meaning that Matteo will take advantage of the situation. It's an away match for Franz and his odds are against him.
Arriving at Franz's table, he pats him on the shoulder, saying: Franz, I won't even ask how you managed to slip through our space. But since you're here, let me show you what hospitality is, and puts a bottle of rum on the table.
Matteo took a seat opposite Franz, curious to hear what motivated Franz's boldness to come all the way here.
"Good day Matteo," he said. "I hope you got here without any problems."
After Franz greeted Matteo, the waiter came back with another bottle of rum and 2 glasses.
"First round's on me," Franz said as he poured the rum into the two glasses.
"Now, I bet you're wondering why I asked you to meet with me today. I need information about Liberty..." he said while looking straight at Matteo and taking the first sip from his glass.
Liberty?! You should be aware that our operations within Liberty are very limited. If you didn't knew, now you do.
Is your list of friends that small, Franz? Asking the Deterrence for information about Liberty seems pretty...desperate to me. Also tells a lot about your intel gathering capabilities. After all you share a border with them, are you not?
Alas, I'll take it as a compliment, asking us to do what you could not. Tell me more about what information you need.
Matteo, you and I both know that there are ways to get to Liberty through the omicrons.
Besides, I bet that some of your friends will eventually get into Liberty, or at least get close to it.
Don't be too sure, I have other contacts in Liberty, but I prefer to do business with you.
Apart from that, I am also interested in information about Bretonia and what else is going on in the Omegas and in the Omicrons.
So how about it? Are you interested in doing business with me and if so, what can I do for you?
Si, there is indeed a way into Liberty through the Omicrons, but don't count on that. Recent developments made it...impracticable.
If I weren't interested in doing business with you, you wouldn't have made it so far. The Deterrence deems you more useful alive than dead, Franz. We can supply you with plentiful information from your areas of interest, either directly or through our contacts.
So, before we start talking about the price, do tell me in full detail what interests you.
I mainly need information on the ships of each house's naval and police forces.
Type of ship, armament and location of sighting.
Anything else that seems odd is also of interest.
