Drengr, meaning "Bad Ass" in Old Norse, is a term which might be considered more for mercenaries, pirates, or maybe Bounty Hunters. But this is a security firm with a difference, and this will be reflected in our roleplay.
We will be using the Interspace Commerce ID as an Assets Protection affiliate of their Insurance services, and specifically adhere to their roleplay lines as far as protecting Lawful entities and transports who request our services for escorts. This will also be reflected within the Houses in which Interspace operates, with respect to the roleplay already initiated by other factions.
Large scale convoys will be under DrengrCo protection and we will primarily focus on roleplay to protect these convoys to the best of our ability. With Interspace roleplay, it is a frequent assumption that the individuals either attacking or making demands upon the protected vessels will be paid off. If the offending vessels become provoked or otherwise initiate an attack, DrengrCo will protect this convoy with fiercely focused & professional
combat actions.
DrengrCo vessels will be fitted with the optimum loadouts to suit the situation, and appropriate ship classes will be used in convoys according to the protected vessel types, the area being transited & anticipated resistance.
As we initiate and improve the faction, it may be necessary to adjust our intended RP by improving either the way we operate or the limits of roleplay within the range of the Interspace ID.
Individuals, traders and corporate ships in distress and also any Law enforcement entities can rely on DrengrCo for assistance when requested or to arrange an ongoing protection protocol for their needs and a pricing system will soon be in place which will be communicated to those who desire further info.
We have initiated steps to establish a separate base of operations within the Liberty sector but will also be operating from existing Interspace installations all over Sirius, in keeping with the interspace ID. The recent battles that we've had to fight, and any losses that we've endured have only proven the point of there being a need for services such as we are offering, and have only stiffened our resolve to provide these services to protect Sirian citizens and push back against the chaotic tide lawlessness which assaults them.
The naming convention of our vessels will reflect the Nordic ideals, and Pilots will be also asked to create a Nordic name and profile relative to our faction RP. Our pilots will be asked to take into consideration the historical "Drengr" meaning and will be expected to defend our protectees with martial competence, physical bravery and professional discipline. The survival of those persons and assets being shielded are the primary goal, with all other considerations being secondary.
We may operate in conjunction the AWES faction (at their discretion since as the IC official faction, they are the controllers of any IC player faction RP)
In terms of Interspace Commerce's insurance services with respect to any convoys in question, the insuring of any convoy assets under DrengrCo protection is recommended, but not required, to contract DrengrCo's services.
Also within lines of Interspace roleplay, and our own group's ideals, we will take our client cargo's value and RP into consideration. However, we decline to protect vessels which have contraband on board or are otherwise engaged in unlawful behavior of any kind.
FACTION OBJECTIVES
The faction's main objectives will be to roleplay as much as possible without having to resort to combat actions. This will make the experience for all players in the situation more interesting and playable. All combat roleplay situations will be the result of the individuals present, their actions and our own RP guidelines.
We would like to promote an atmoshere conducive to more convoys within the game world, and help to restore activity on the server. DrengrCo will make it clear to all operatives that if the scenario calls for a duel, they will accommodate in some way, and will individually engage the target or targets.
Ganking has been a resident evil on the server for a long time, and it to often reflects OORP grudges and toxicity. One of our objective is to bring meaningful RP into these encounters and to prevent frivolous ganking.
DrengrCo operatives who actively attack an outnumbered or clearly outclassed opponent will need to explain their actions to our Command. However, such respectful and honorable behavior is only due to those who display the same. Those adversaries who exhibit a disregard of common decency or have a history of villainous activities against the citizenry of Sirius should not expect such forbearance, since the dishonorable are due no such deference.
Those who attack our operatives or protectees should expect a vigorous & violent Black Flag response. We do not bind ourselves to any restrictions to which the enemy does not also adhere. Fire shall be fought with fire.
Convoys escorts may consist of various classes of vessels, depending on the size of the convoy and its cargo. The more valuable the cargo, the larger the protection array will be, as is available. This faction will function within its ID and roleplay lines and it's operations will be throughout Sirius.
A successful faction is one that adheres to it's roleplay and who adapts it's stance and it's operations as needed as reflected by the Discovery community and it's feedback.
Feedback will be accepted within all aspects of our operations and constructively considered.
This is a Roleplay Server, and Roleplay shall be our primary response to all interactions. Any actions on our part will be in response to the attendant RP of each encounter, not the sadly typical "/1, /2, pew pew!" type currently prevalent in Disco.
Our forum roleplay will be extensive and reflect the way Interspace works. Our goal will be to create a service which many organisations will engage and find helpful. Regular posts offering our service will be made, and our services and prices could be negotiated within roleplay.
There have been factions with an escort or hunter type goal before within the server, but we feel it is time to re-introduce this kind of service within the game to support trading and the economy and bring it to an increased level to the benefit of all. Increased participation will make for a better and more challenging experience and hopefully, a rise in server activity.
DrengrCo has a few Core ships due to Interspace inheriting compatibility via relations with Core|APM. Their number will be very limited since Core lore is that they haven't enough ships for their needs as is. Our RP is that these ships were purchased as derelicts and refitted in Liberty which affects their original specs and alters their stats. Hence their compatibility limitation. These ships primarily exist for RP and to provide a bit of faction uniqueness.
Hello, I must say that this is a low-key incredibly ambitious, needed yet hard-to-pull-off project - maybe the patch will help with this.
Escorting is nearly non-existent in the game, because of the mechanics where the trader dies no matter how hard you try...Power traders also lose 50% of their profit, guaranteed when one logs an escort on a run instead of a trade ship...So I wish you the best of luck, hope you stick to the project and actually bring some escorting roleplay to traders!
Maybe the pirates will be nice to try to kill your ships first and give a chance to the "protected" traders to get away

Hence the mission statement:
"The survival of those persons and assets being shielded are the primary goal, with all other considerations being secondary."

Sadly IMO, this absurd current reality is due to the fact that traders are routinely being pirated by unlawfuls in Caps, which is frankly ridiculous.
While I'm glad that those who enjoy it have the toys to engage in Cap vs. Cap PvP, the common cry of "hire some escorts if you don't want to be pirated" is meaningless in an environment where piracy with caps is allowed. This is why there are mostly no BH and Escort players. Or many Police players, for that matter. It's a balance issue that badly needs addressed.
But it's important that traders have someone who's willing to try. So, here we Stand.
