Running an RTX 3080 and Ryzen 7 7700X at 4K, one step down from ultra preset and getting average of around 50 fps outdoors. It really is a big boy game.
Same, 4080 and 13700k @1440p feels like the diashow, thats why i didnt even played more than 20 minutes...

What a massive disappointment this game turned out to be.
I had some hopes after their amazing 40 minute promotional video from earlier in the year, but never stopped having fears since... well, it's Bethesda. They have been going downhill since fallout 4.
But I never expected it to be so bad, and so sterile. It's such a lifeless experience, none of it truly brings any joy and good old fashioned fun.
It is as if AI designed and produced the game. It surely seems like AI wrote the story and dialogue...
Meanwhile, a game like Baldur's Gate 3 was the exact opposite, and it rightfully procured massive success. It was well-deserved.
In any case, not even modding can save Starfield (in fact, some of the big modders publicly renounced the game already and refuse to work on mods for it).
It's hopeless - especially considering how long it took them to make it. Some of the people working here must've seen it coming and probably felt like crap when the horrible reception and ratings inevitably started coming in. So much time wasted on this project. Damn.
Bethesda desperately needs a new engine, and probably new and fresh leadership as well. They have gotten totally stale and I'm afraid the next elder scrolls will suffer from the same issues. It is as if this company is incapable of learning from its mistakes, and that basically stems from the leadership.
