Command of the Akhetaten,
Good day, we have read internal logs of Adam Lee having an incident with some of your crew.
I want to stress that the First Armada has deep respect for the Primary Fleets, there is nothing more important for the Republic than that it's forces work together in unison.
Officer Adam Lee has been put on forced leave while we investigate this matter. Please provide any logs, communications and information regarding this incident that may affect the Ensign on Leave's fate so we may resolve this matter and your proposed solution for resolution.
Granted that you are no longer a Rear Admiral and are no longer a part of the Forty-Sixth Fleet, a lot has indeed changed within Liberty for the past two years that I've been away from duty. I do not believe we have personally met, if we did - I do not recall. Thus, allow me to introduce myself. I am Commodore Christopher Edwards of the Forty-Sixth Fleet, Advisor on-board the Akhetaten, and I was tasked by Vice Admiral Maria Uhmen, the vessel's flag officer, to handle this matter.
I was present during the interaction with the Ensign of the First Armada, Adam Lee, and his relative, Evelynn Lee. Captain Samantha Brown was in command of the vessel at the time, and she was also the one who made the relevant report on the matter. I shall share the part of the report that's relevant to this transmission for sake of better understanding of the incident by you.
Second of all, I wish to report on some of the happenings of today. Most importantly, we came across an individual, evelynn.lee, a Freelancer flying a Defender with no license to be seen. The individual was confronted for a considerably long amount of time at Norfolk where she was stopped. She claimed to be a veteran of the Navy and that some Adam Lee is coming to explain. She refused to elaborate further on who this Adam Lee was when questioned multiple times. Eventually, my patience ran out. I demanded she heads to Manhattan immediately to turn the ship over, to which she replied with that this is where she was going until we stopped her.
Annoyed by her ego at this point, I allowed her to proceed towards Manhattan and followed her. She docked on the planet, and to my surprise - not thirty seconds later - Adam Lee showed up. An "officer" of the First Armada, obviously. Miss Lee quickly undocked upon him showing up, still sporting the same Defender-class fighter. Having had enough of her bullshit, I ordered that her vessel be dismantled, which it promptly was. Then, immediately after her destruction, Adam Lee - the Officer of the First Armada - engaged the Akhetaten. With our crew not being ready to react to such a situation, the bomber managed to do a significant amount of damage to the warship - none of it permanent of course.
I trust that the Ensign's heated reaction was due to the tension that was present at that moment. That being said, such hostile behavior towards an asset of the Forty-Sixth Fleet is unacceptable, let alone sanctionable and against the Law. A bomber attacking a capital ship is no small feat, especially with the weaponry the vessel is equipped with; weaponry that is more than capable of causing incapacitating damage to the latter. The engagement could have lead to casualties, which would further complicate this situation and definitely aid in changing the tone of this transmission.
You're putting me in a difficult position, Admiral.

Commodore,
Understood.
The treatment of the freelancer aside, assault of a Naval officer is a serious crime. From the vessel names provided, the freelancer in question might have been a relative of our Officer on Leave. We don't know what spurred this activity, or why would a family member act that way - the lack of on-site evidence will make the investigation and likely tribunal very difficult.
Officer Lee is currently been put on leave and hasn't reported to our HQ after the incident. I will see to it that he will not appear on active duty until this is resolved. I will instruct our internal officers to summon them for questioning, we will attempt to recover the logs from their vessel, and get their testimony, start the due process.
I trust that this matter will be duly dealt with on your end. There is not much else for me to add at this point in time.
In addition, Vice Admiral Uhmen herself has requested that you be informed there will be no "legal" consequences for the First Armada regarding this incident - your reaching out to the Akhetaten in such a way seems to have earned you respect.
I will await to see what the results of your questioning of the officer are.

SUBJECT: Resolution
To all stakeholders,
I am informing you I have been tasked with processing the resolution of the investigative process:
Adam Lee has been dismissed from the First Armada service.
Reparations will be offered to the Akhetaten, to the tune of upwards of 200,000,000 Sirian Credits or upwards of upwards of 25,000 units of any materials that would cover the repair costs and alleviate the negative impacts
- Please confirm either the bank account and the amount of requested amount from the allocated budget, and/or destination, quantities and specifics of the materials to be delivered to Task Force Akhetaten.
Reasoning
Quote:No matter how high our emotions get, no matter if our families are involved, enlisted officers of the Liberty Navy must stick together. We are on the same side, we work for the betterment of Liberty and we must never forget that. Adam Lee's motivations are understandable, his family member was in distress, but his reaction was not. Actions do have consequences, we wish Adam Lee the best of luck, whether he decides to join the regular service or civilian life is not in our Jurisdiction, but due to our deep respect for the Primary Fleets of Liberty and the importance of cooperation, his actions mean that said service will no longer be in the First Armada Ranks.
I thank the 46th Staff for understanding, our administrative staff for following up with the due process, the offer of counselling to Officer Lee and for processing reparations to the involved parties, and Adam Lee for their service, and good luck wherever their steps will lead next.
-Blake Wayne Van Leer, Admiral, First Armada
Kind regards,
Genoveve Black - Enlisted Clerk - The First Armada
I trust that such occurrences will not be the case again, seeing the fruitful resolution of this matter. While I specifically did not respect for any reparations to be offered to the LNX-Akhetaten, even though damage sustained was substantial, I trust that denying the offer would be disrespectful for your organization.
In light of the above, the First Armada may feel free to forward the agreed upon sum to 46th|TFA-LNX-Akhetaten.
Your swift action is duly noted, Armada. I am thankful to see this matter resolved.
