Hello i wanted to ask well i started playing freelancer and now i am getting my wife into it so she is using laptop and using wifi, will there be problem because we are playing on same IP?
If you have some way to prove that you're not one player running two instances at the same time if someone files a report, everything should be fine.
To play it safer, you could connect to Discovery through some VPN, a free one will be fine if you just pipe the network traffic of Discovery only through it, the ping will be terrible for pvp though.
Don'ts:
1) Fly together everywhere in formation ie link up so one person flies a ship dragging the other behind.
2) If flying together, have only one ship answer any greetings/reply when pirated.
3) If mining, have one ship log in purely to fill the other ship and then log off.
These generally make people suspicious.
Dos:
1) Fly as two separate entities as much as possible.
2) Respond/talk at the same time when hailed/talked to by other people
This generally give people no reason to be suspicious.
People, other an Admins, will not know you are both on the same IP, so give them no reason to be suspicious and you shouldn't have any problems.
'I would like to be half as clever as some people like to believe they are' Life is full of disappointments, it is how we handle them that helps to define us, as a person
