DISCOVERY FREELANCER UPDATE 5.0 - "FIRE AND FORTUNE"
Dear members,
At long last, "Fire and Fortune", also known as Discovery Freelancer 5.0, is ready for release.
Using the word "patch" really isn't fair here, this represents by far the most comprehensive update in the mod's history - with massive overhauls of basic systems in ship mechanics, economy, the story, and many other respects, it's closer to a new game than an update.
We'd like to thank everyone who contributed on the development side of things, and of course everyone in the community who has kept this game alive by playing on the server and posting on the forums, and have kept their excitement going for all of this admittedly long wait.
Many of the changes you may have already read about in the Dev Diaries released, and there will be more details coming, so stay tuned for those.
Until then, we encourage you to simply the take the mod's name to heart and discover what you can yourselves.
Have fun!
The Systems Department would like to remind the owners of POBs that you can receive free of charge movement of your asset within the reworked or out of the removed system by submitting a movement request as described in this thread.

There are a lot of changes to be made on the server before the Game is ready.
You are possibly looking at about 2-3 hours from the time it was taken down.
'I would like to be half as clever as some people like to believe they are' Life is full of disappointments, it is how we handle them that helps to define us, as a person
i didn't start playing, like everyone, but from what flcompanion is showing i'm already hating what you guys did to so many systems ... first the 0mega 48 ... loadout ... economy .... and i didn't even really checked others ...
