I guess that 1iC thing I stead of a rep or 2iC does make sense now after reading the above - actually puts pressure on an OF having an active 1iC or lose their say - good call tbh. And it provides an incentive to be OF, a good OF at that as generally any faction will be better with an active 1iC rather than afk one.
I hate to refer to my own post, that's akin to spamming, but could someone, anyone, please give me their opinion on my post? I can see a lot of discussion but the issues I've highlighted went under the radar, I suppose because no one saw them, it already happened that my posts were not read or found because they were buried... I know it is a bump, people have other stuff to do (myself included), and asymmetrical in nature, but I would like to make sure it is not forgotten nor buried indeed... So, bump!
Here it is. I look foward to your response, if there would be any, thank you very much for your time, and for those who would, it would be much appreciated. Do not worry, once again, it will be the last time I refer to this specific reply. As I said, I dislike spam just like you.

I think most of the entire Liberty Government can agree with me that this obituary plan is going to go to waste. When they (the staff) realise very quickly none of the Liberty Factions wish to enter, or even agree to such method of governance .
How would such "government" or none existing within your official "discord" work if no official faction leader, or leadership agreed to the following announcement?
It would have being wiser to suggest this to the community rather than a forceful act.
- Flawed plan.
Good luck though, guess Liberty isn't going to approve of any tech or licences for a long time. Yeah staff can, but how long are you guys going to ensure the entire government without any official acknowledgement of changes? You'll get tired eventually.
We'll just carry on as we were thanks. US| remains one of the longest official factions in Discovery. We openly object to this.
Like it, hate it, admire it. We are Liberty, and we the government stand together.
I think you'll find this very problematic to your announcement.

As was explicitly said in the LibGov chat, AWES does not follow this line of thinking and is fine with changes.
I can see where you're coming from with this change, but in practice it won't do you any better. You're just putting even more load on the staff which already takes a lot of time to process things.

It seems that people who are happy about this change are people in factions that have caused issues for governments in the past and think that this will give them more leniency. Or people who have no idea how non-rewarding running governments is and is being done out of love for the house to keep it slightly represented on law-making and minor diplomacy talks.
Liberty Government has 14 people who would vote on matters and had ability to freely express their opinions. Free to put forth votes without any supervision. Now the staff will lower it to 4 people right now, where diversity will be gone and minor bias will have possibility of having more major vote sway. On top of that, any change or RP post will have to be supervised which means staff will have to dedicate their time to this, most likely prolonging all decision making, including their administration and moderation duties.
And so far they refused to answer legit concerns and questions in this thread. Have the decency or bravery to tackle the concerns head on. Or do you want to surround yourselves in a vacuum where your opinions are echoed by like-minded players or bootlickers?
