Incoming Transmission Liberty Navy, First Fleet
Logistics Corps Commander
Commander Jack Boehm
To Mr. Charles Bell, President Universal Shipping and the Captain of the transport NewYork:
Greetings,
Earlier today while my ship, the Saratoga, was in orbit of Manhattan I encountered the US|USV-NewYork coming out of the trade lane from West Point. Upon scanning the cargo of the vessel, I found that entirety of the cargo aboard was made up of Cardamine that had been stored within what would normally be sealed containers of consumer goods. Before I could issue an order for the ship to stop, it put in a request at Manhattan to moor, but fortunately we had scans of said cargo before the vessel's captain managed to do so. Upon the ship exiting their berth and returning to orbit, I told them to stop so I could question them about the origin of their cargo. The vessel's captain seemed rather surprised that my eyes were capable of focusing enough to read the cargo manifest of his ship, and vehemently denied that any ship flying under your corporations flag could even manage to purchase Cardamine, let alone attempt to smuggle it to Manhattan. I'll be appending a full transcription of the log involving your ship at the end of the post, as well as the recording of the ships manifest.
Shortly after I started to question your vessel's captain, a Zoner ship approached Manhattan orbit, and opened fire after declaring his support for your ship. I'm willing to disregard this collusion with an enemy of Liberty as pure happenstance, but because of their attack your vessel was able to flee into the Jersey field. After repelling the Zoner attack, and repairing my ship, as well as seeing to the wounds suffered by many of my crew, your vessel was nowhere to be found which was rather unsurprising. As such, I will be levying a fine against your ship for the smuggling and sale of Cardamine amounting to no less than the approximate value of said cargo at 1.100.000 credits. This amount will be transferred to the [LN]-LNS-Saratoga within the next week, or further legal repercussions will be pursued.
If I may speak more directly to Mr. Bell now, I must express some concern at the way in which your corporate officers are operating their ships. I would expect smuggling from a Junker or a freelance pilot working for themselves, but to see it from the captain of a vessel flying the transponder of your company is very disconcerting. As such a flagrant disregard for Libertonian law is speaking of the running of your entire corporation, I expect to hear back from you soon regardless of if I hear from the captain of the involved vessel. If I don't hear from you, then I will naturally have to assume that you have no issues with the behavior of your vessel's captain, and will have to forward all information regarding this incident to the office of the Attorney General.

Good Day Captain,
I respond to the clear report and actions of one of our new transporter pilots.
First and formally, I'd like to thank the Liberty Navy for your actions in due diligence in respect to the Liberty Laws, that said however the actions of one of our transports code of conduct has been duly noted.
After formally grounding our pilot and a meeting was set in our offices within Trenton Outpost it seems everything you've proclaimed in the report is true. Our transport found the cargo floating in the skies surrounding local Liberty Rogue ships in the close vicinity of the Pennsylvania Jump Gate. It is unfortunate to note however our pilot found himself claim the goods to drop to Manhattan to remove them from the "site" of purpose. it seems the Zoner dropped such goods and vacated the area and my pilot as good as his intentions were to remove them and stop or slow the illegal foundations of domestic drug use within Liberty space and the foundations of illegal transportation in respect to lawful transportation. My pilot has agreed the actions of the zoner was indeed to protect our assets or out transport from getting shot in regards to the "Cardamine" found upon scanning our vessels.
My trader acted upon himself to remove such entity from use within Liberty and was sure to deliver the goods with haste to a lawful station as such in this case being Manhattan Orbit.
In regards to transportation, we agree that in this case however good his intentions were to remove the illegal goods. He should have called local law enforcement or yourselves within the navy to collect and seize such items. In this case he has and has admitted guilt to illegally transported goods proclaimed within the Liberty Laws and in his report "Cardamine" was in fact transported.
I formally apologise to the Liberty Navy and all relevant authorities for our transport acting on his own accord, but please note our transport has no formal relation with any such Zoner or the zoner pilot in question.
Your fine payment has been escalated to our President for urgent payment, rest assured measures have been set in place so this does not happen again but we are grateful that you brought this to our attention.
Understanding this should finalize any report you should need to take further, and your fine will be paid as soon as our President returns from his trip. Within the next 48 hours.

Mr. Rivers:
Greetings,
It is reassuring to get such a swift response from you and your people. I must admit, at first I was rather skeptical on the innocence of your vessel's captain, but after the reassurances I've received from your people I am willing to admit that it may have simply been ignorance at play. I've been informed that they now know what their mistakes were, and that they won't repeat them in the future. Rest assured, I will be keeping an eye on them to make sure that they hold to that commitment. The fine has been received and I am willing to call this matter settled now, I wish you and your people luck in your endeavors.
Regards,
Jack Boehm
Captain, 1FLT
