Staff roles: Server Administrator
Name: Kado Odaiba
Age: 36
Relevant Experience or Education: Originally born into a displaced family living on Deshima Station, Kado had an uneventful upbringing whilst growing up in Kusari House space. At age 23, he secured a temporary contract with Kishiro Technologies who were conducting logistics operations based out of Deshima Station. This temporary contract involved being part of the logistics chain of goods moving throughout the station, along with local Kusari goods and exports. This contract continued until Kado was 27 and secured a permanent position as Logistics Consultant within Kishiro's local logistics department based at the station, and he was able to secure a decent standard of living for himself and his aging family at Deshima.
Notable Background:
After years of consulting with Kishiro Technologies, Kado was provided the opportunity to oversee a specific logistics chain that made routine runs to a new project site being developed near the Shiun Cloud. This became a weekly occurrence due to the volume of materials required, and the violet haze of nebula was always a source of fascination for Kado. Whilst he had wanted to visit these large clouds in an arranged tour, the current workload was too great to look into this idea further.
As the years progressed, Kado's role within Kishiro became more and more mundane, whilst the idea of managing an entire logistics department was the original goal, it became tiresome and would more or less be a guarantee of a desk job with little prospect of enjoyment or satisfaction long term. It was decided that a career change was needed, and the idea of exploring the clouds and nebula of his surroundings was an ever-present allure. At 32, Kado secured a work-related visit to the Sigma 19 system, specifically to oversee replacement parts being delivered to Gas Miner Ogashawa as part of a refurbishment project planned for the vessel and it's future within the region. The atmosphere and seemingly remote location was appealing to Kado, a stark contrast to the mundane and routine admin job he had been performing for years before.
The local management appreciated the assistance from Kado and his logistics team, and this would continue throughout the duration of the refurbishment project. Through the time spent and rapport built between the two teams and their respective management, he was happy to receive an invitation to shadow a gas mining ship crew as they performed a routine survey and extraction of the local gas fields. This would take place aboard an older generation gas miner, identified only by it's dated, partially-worn markings, of GMG.Gas.Miner.0117.
The experience aboard Gas.Miner.0117 would be a turning point in Kado's career. The change of pace in work environment and chance of seeing these amazing locations, would forever taint the view of his previous experience at Kishiro Technologies. After his initial visit shadowing the crew of this vessel, he insisted to the crew overseeing the vessel that he must be given an opportunity to come back. Whilst hesitant at first due to his lack of experience with Gas-related anomalies, his skills in logistics would prove useful, as good operation of logistics is at the core of any well-run operation. There was indeed a vacant position for Logistics Manager within the vessel's command structure, and Kado was determined to fill it.
Upon Gas.Miner.0117's return to the larger miner, Ogashawa, Kado commenced writing his formal application to leave Kishiro and join the GMG's ranks, to perform his duties above a Gas Miner in the sectors he had wished to visit for many years.
Reason for Selecting GMG:
GMG operates in a unique environment, and presents unique opportunities to those pilots experienced and willing to do so. The idea of running his own vessel within the guild had become an obsessive fantasy, and could not be shaken. Through discussions with the previous crew of Number 0117, he was able to return for various visits in his line of work, but it would never be satisfactory enough until he was able to officially join the guild and become part of the enterprise. Whilst Gas mining may not be the most interesting of job descriptions for most citizens, the atmosphere and unique line of work made it an unshakeable interest for Kado.

Notable Background: Born on Planet Kyushu into a lower middle-class Terada started as a simple trawler fisherman on the planet, later he joined the Kusari Naval Forces and served to his country well as a regular yet reliable fighter pilot. After retirement, Ryuji started working as a Freelancer oftentimes visiting Aomori Station and looking for venturous GMG contracts in deeper Sigmas and nearest Omicrons. After a while, he decided to move back to Planet Kyushu and enjoy his life on this oceanic world, but unfortunately, massive unprecedented storms wracked the planet. These colossal typhoons have left Terada without his family and home. With no turning back he decided to spend his life in the Sigmas and join GMG.
Reason for Selecting GMG: Joining the growing fuel monopoly and supporting the Guild.
