Heinemann Dietrich.
The Oberkommando has conferred regarding your application, and has decided to approve it, granting you the rank of Fahnrich. However, the Grossadmiral has instructed that all new officers be placed under probation in the case of a lack of historical experience. Perform your duties and keep up with your reading, and your probation flight time will count towards further advancement.
Upon the conclusion of your probation, you will be interviewed by Grossadmiral Henze to determine your eligibility to continue in your current rank. In order to facilitate your success during this interview, I will personally accompany you during your first patrols, with the permission of your CO. After a successful interview, you will be assigned an experienced mentor on the officer track to continue your professional development within the Rheinwehr.
Für den Kaiser! Für das Volk! Für Rheinland!

Leutnant der Kaiserlichen Rheinwehr
► Full Name & Age: Kurt Schäfer, age 30. ► Enlisted or Officer track?: Officer track. ► Brief biography: Worked as a transport pilot and hauled goods to and from New Berlin for about 10 years, then applied for the Military Academy at age 30. An unremarkable personal history, but personal descriptions might include "intense, eager, or proud." ► Remarkable encounters with the Rheinwehr, or while representing the Rheinwehr as an indie soldat: As a simple cargo hauler, the presence of the Reinwehr was constant. Many stop-and-scan encounters, even a few combat situations where the Rheinwehr flew to the defense. Boring, long hauls can always become more interesting when being in luck of observing the mighty capital ships pass by. Those hulking, brutish and unyielding beasts are intimidating and always giving the impression that Rheinland is safe.
Reasons for joining the Kaiserliche Rheinwehr
It is frustrating to be able to do little for ones Vaterland from a cargo ship. A military organization gives the right kind of order, and makes a difference.
OOC: ► Can you speak English at a level high enough for a RP server?: Yes, in chat and voice call if needed.
► German knowledge level (will not affect your application): Not really passable in a conversation but enough to understand much of the military/war terms thrown around.
► Are you familiarized with the current conflicts in Rheinland? Outline them (copy/paste will mean inmediate and permanent rejection): Rheinland is focusing on it's borders, there are always pirates and other criminal scum making life difficult. Liberty and Rheinland have an uneasy peace, and there is talk of co-operating with Kusari.
► Link to any existing RP you’d like to share (doesn’t have to be Rheinland-related): I don't have any RP going on with Freelancer Discovery, but my experience with roleplay: I've been RP:ing on MMO's for many years, I've been to several LARP's, and tabletop RP.
► Reason for joining?: Rheinland tops the coolness factor of the Freelancer universe, I've always enjoyed when anything German-themed is featured in pop-culture, be it in a silly, serious or evil capacity. I quite like the language, the germans are fun people too.
It's good to still have patriotic people around with a heart for the Vaterland! If it's action you're looking for, you will find plenty here within our ranks. Do your duty well and you will find yourself rising quickly within the Rheinwehr!

Reasons for joining the Kaiserliche Rheinwehr
I am joining because, I have been asked by a few people. I also love Rheinland and her people. I wish to serve them till the day I die.
OOC: ► Can you speak English at a level high enough for a RP server?: Only language I know
► German knowledge level (will not affect your application): A little not a lot.
► Are you familiarized with the current conflicts in Rheinland? Outline them (copy/paste will mean immediate and permanent rejection): At the moment in time the current conflicts involve the Coalition and Red Hessians in the Omegas, and also them raiding Rheinland space. GMG in the Sigma 15, they are always trying to prevent Rheinland from doing anything there. Corsairs have become more active and have been passing through the Omegas and through Rheinland space.
► Link to any existing RP you’d like to share (doesn’t have to be Rheinland-related): Pretty much everything CIS related and True Sons of Kusari
► Reason for joining?: I love Rheinland, its one of my favorite houses and I want to see it active.
An Elbe is not a ship anyone is just allowed to fly in, so that tells me enough about your capabilities in a battleship. Your past experience will surely help Rheinland and boost your career!

After serving in the secondary Fleet and several join operations with the main Fleet, I believe that I am ready to fight side by side with the elite forces of the Rheinwehr to repel the most serious threats to my homeland.

► German knowledge level (will not affect your application): Nein

► Reason for joining?: I was looking for a faction far from my usual places of presence and with good reputation with the community. I am also interested in group activities that RM does on regular basis, PVP mostly.

► Full Name & Age: Franz Westerwalt, 42 ► Enlisted or Officer track?: Major of the Rheinland Military (Before the Kaiser took over) ► Brief biography: Growing up in a military family, he developed a strong sense of duty and patriotism from an early age. Inspired by stories of his ancestors serving in the Rheinland Military, Franz aspired to follow in their footsteps and make a meaningful contribution to the defense of Rheinland.
However, in the year 826 A.S, tragedy struck during a mission in the Honshu system. Major Westerwalt sustained severe injuries in an intense firefight, including a debilitating spinal injury that left him paralyzed from the waist down. Despite undergoing extensive rehabilitation, the physical toll was too great, and he was medically retired from active duty.
Retirement proved challenging for Major Westerwalt, as he struggled to adapt to civilian life. The desire to serve and protect Rheinland still burned within him, and he became determined to overcome his physical limitations. With cutting-edge cybernetic enhancements and advanced medical treatments, Franz has managed to regain some mobility and functionality.
► Remarkable encounters with the Rheinwehr, or while representing the Rheinwehr as an indie soldat: Defending my homeland as a ex. Major was enough

Herr Major Westerwalt,
I have taken a personal interest in your application. Naturally, your considerable experience and long service would normally earn you a swift reinstatement, but I must be clear about one thing, mein herr. The contemptible civil war is now behind us, and we serve both the Emperor and the Executor's Office, preferably in that order. If you have prior grudges or unpaid debts of honor, you had best leave those behind along with your healed battle wounds. The only things you will now despise are Rheinland's enemies, and the Libertonians.
With that said, your application is approved. Due to the modernization of the Rheinwehr's structure, your new rank shall be that of a Fregattenkapitän. While you will once again be near the top, the responsibilities of the Militar have all but doubled in recent years. You will find yourself quite busy after your brief orientation to catch yourself up on recent history and other critical matters. Vizeadmiral Kunrad and I will be glad to assist your transition to active duty, but I will also expect much of you once you are deemed ready, Herr Fregattenkapitän.
You will find that a new office has been assigned to you at HQ. I expect that you will not see much of it after the next few weeks - enjoy what comforts of shore life that you can while you have the time to do so.
Hochachtungsvoll,
Alfred Henze
