Well, here we are once again... After all that happened, we are face to face K'hara and their kin. It for sure will be interesting to see what will happen, won't it? As long as we can work on what needs to be done. I just hope Thraike can handle what is about to come. I'm sure that he is aware of it but after what happened the last time I'm not sure what to expect.
*One of her eyes starts to slightly glow*
We are most certainly aware of what is expected of ours. We still very vividly remember our first bonding. Without the songs and care of our elders, we would have most likely perished already. The pain the constant screams in our minds. Yet it is something that has to be done. In the end, if the Light prevails we will never be forgotten, many cycles have passed since our last encounter with the brethren, and while we may remain different ours still have the same goal.
*Her eyes slowly start to roll back as the glowing starts to fade*
We will see, won't we? As always I will trust your judgment even though you failed us once or twice *Cortana chuckles*. I will keep this up to date here as it is a new chapter for us after all.
For now, we shall prepare the Schiller and the rest of the remains that we carry on us so we can properly introduce ourselves in person. This constant mindscape isn't for me sometimes you simply gotta talk in person. Once we know more about the situation I will update this again.

We finally have everything ready. The Schiller is prepared and so are the escort fighters. We even took the time to clock the core down to reduce our signature to be a bit more discreet, I mean we don't want to be detected across a whole system. We are currently unsure as to when the escort will arrive from our kin, yet I hope it will be sooner rather than later. At least then we know what their deal is and how we are going to continue our work.
We had to put so many projects on halt, simply because there were not enough people and resources, I most certainly hope that this will change. Anyway, we are more than curious to see what they have to offer. I just hope the labs they have are more or less up to date because I don't want to build up another one. The time and effort that goes into them are just insane. I mean we have some equipment aboard the Schiller but it wouldn't be enough to be a standalone lab.
Today we will see how good the engines are running since we haven't moved this Ancient husk in quite a while. We will keep this updated if our situation changes drastically. I just hope Verac can find this log entry if he needs to do some work...
Well, the engine tests were more or less smooth besides that we were only able to use about half the throttle at first. The team working on that detected some major issues, as a power conduit shorted out while doing some repair work a few months ago. We fixed that fairly quickly but I lost one of my guys while they were at it. The poor guy didn't listen when I told him to always measure twice... Luckily for me, no one who is still here has family left. Anyway, no need for unnecessary distraction it's tragic and all but we have more important tasks at hand.
While we did manage to fix the conduit and restore full power to the engines it is still not completely perfect. We somehow lost connection with one of the heavy weapon stations. While we still can access everything, the fire and control system doesn't react whatsoever. Almost as if it is missing. I will deploy a team to inspect that closer, a bit later. Since I'm gonna need some more hands with the next task Cortana gave to us.
I will keep these logs up to date once the team has inspected everything around that heavy weapon. Oh yes and I still have to deploy a team to repair hangar gate 2 since that got damaged when we took over this vessel. We will see if that's even needed as we don't have the capacity anyway to deploy a whole squadron. It would most likely be easier if we just repair it in the dry docks when we meet our brethren.
