It seems things have calmed down since the Nomad’s attacks on installations around here, at least as calm as it typically gets in this sector. The Order, Core, and Zoner fleets certainly did a number on those alien attackers and sent them running home with their tails between their legs. Despite this, their evil presence still lingers, of course, and it’s the ones that try to hide amongst humanity that I am most concerned about.
It is because of these infectees that I’d like to submit an inquiry. I must keep my people safe aboard The Junktion, and the Nomads make this rather difficult. Is it possible that a scaled down version of the screening system installed on Freeport 11 be implemented on an installation such as The Junktion? We do not have nearly the throughput of people that the Freeport has, but an automated system that can detect infectees would help keep our security personnel much safer (they currently have to perform manual checks from up close), and the risk to our resident workforce would be reduced too.
Please inform me what can be done in this regard. We don’t need all the bells and whistles, just what will get us a positive ID on those damned aliens when they try to infiltrate my station.
My name is Frank Silva, administrator of Freeport 11, and it's a pleasure to meet you. Given the position of your station, we are practically neighbors, and it's good etiquette to maintain good neighborly relations.
Our stations are equipped with the latest types of scanners, which work almost one hundred percent without failures and other false positives, developed together with engineers from the Order.
Unfortunately, this equipment is incredibly expensive, difficult to set up and consumes a significant amount of electricity, and we do not export this technology to anyone. However, our base, referred to as Delta Mining Corp. is currently undergoing a decommissioning process and all equipment will be unloaded within the next few weeks, I can't be more precise due to a lot of variables.
So, to answer your question directly, we can provide you with this equipment on a rental basis - including personnel, installation and setup. This will be virtually free for you, as our group values the safety of our residents first and foremost and we are willing to cover the costs. But, the flip side of the coin is that you will not have access to the equipment and you will have a Phoenix garrison stationed to guard it. A lesser measure of safety for us.
Tell me how that sounds to you. We can send a shuttle to your installation as soon as possible for a technical inspection.
