[BUG] Game in General - Black Screen

Bug: Well I noticed in the Last Days a Couple of Times. Disco is Sadly Not Optimized to Run on a 2 Screen Setup so whenever I want to change something on my Second Screen I have to Tab out of the Game back to the Desktop (Not Close the Game). After I have done that 2 or 3 times then the Screen goes back and the Windows Bar on the Bottom Flickers as if the Game doesn't want to Open again. Maybe the Game is in a Loading Loop or so. This can also happen when you just tab out to change your Char in the Game Launcher.


Reproduction Steps:

• Step 1 Tab out of a Running Game
  
• Step 2 Do this a couple of times.
  
• Step 3 Do something else for a While
  
• Step 4 Black Screen.
  

Additional Information: The only fix for this is to force the Game to end over the Task Manager. Then you can Restart and log in normally again. Well you have to wait 2 Min because you often "Log out in Space"

Well the fact that Windows Mode dosent work. It will still Minimize the Game in the same way. And the fact that this Have never Caused any Problems before. They only Apeared after the last Patch.

I think I can help you,
the alt tab not working correctly is a common problem with the game running on directx 8 and it can be fixed by using a specific dll to move the game to directx 9, I leave the link below so you need to download it and place the file d3d8.dll in the game directory (the disoverygc directory, NOT the game directory). If you play on Linux, you need to do more stuff but since you didn't specified that, probably this is enough.

There is also a more recent wrapper called dxvk 2.4 that will translate directx 8 into vulkan, and this is probably what I recommend, link below, after you download it, you need to place two files in the game folder, d3d8.dll and d3d9.dll

Closing for now. As pointed out, d3d8.dll will help across the board, although excessive alt-tabbing is also bound to cause issues and should be replaced with windowed mode (pressing Alt + Enter ingame).
