Oh. It's you.
I did not expect a message from you at all, Hunt. I should scold Raven for handing out my contact line so willingly.
Do apologize the delayed answer, it appears the opening ceremony for Fort Ainoura was rescheduled to next Friday. The Fort is planetside on Junyo.
I do not think you will be welcome there. It is a strictly military ceremony involving a few figures from within the Government, myself included. News agencies have been invited for livestreams and such but there will not be a great publicly accessible ceremony. Even in the unlikely case that a "plus one" would not raise countless questions by the media, you would be guaranteed a run-in with less than pleasant Naval personnel for a thorough questioning. Do not believe for one moment that they are unaware of my frequent contact to Raven or who you are.
Should the opportunity arise for you and/or Raven to be able to attend a public ceremony in the future, I might arrange a formal invitation for the both of you. Although, I doubt you will be able to skip at least a few unpleasant questions even then.
Oh you sound so thrilled to hear from me. Don't worry, Raven didn't hand out your contact information.
I have a habit of subverting expectations. A shame though, I'd have loved to take a look and experience your nation's celebratory practices first hand. Would've been fascinating.
Besides, maybe I don't mind answering a million questions of my adoring fans, hm? It seems to be a part of my job as of late.
Though perhaps it might be me asking the questions next time. There's a lot of answers I'm looking for, to fill in some blanks as it were. I'm --- well, hoping you might be able to help with that.

Thrilled indeed.
Don't get me wrong, I'm fine with you contacting me. It was merely unexpected.
A meet-up without Raven? Don't give her wrong ideas. She might believe I am getting you involved in my plot to force an actual vacation on her. Though, it has been many years and I would not mind catching up either. Ordering the Sunekosuri to traverse the edges of the dust field in Kyushu should not be an issue. You can dock and we can have a nice chat in privacy, not to mention some exquisite Kusari flair for you to enjoy.
Whether Raven decides to come or not is up to her, but yes. It would be just me this time around. I won't stop her from following me, though. She's just probably going to get bored.
There's a lot of gaps I'm still unsure about in the years I was away, but you'll hear all that when I arrive.
I'll be in the area within the next forty-eight hours. I look forward to it.

Hello Hunt.
Don't worry about yesterday. It has been mildly informative since as you can imagine she is not exactly keen on revealing too many details. I understand her hesitation and quite honestly still want to avoid being pulled into her "mess", for a lack of better words.
You might wish to know that during her stay at my place, I got to learn that the old her is still there. All the trouble, all the change didn't erase who she was years back when I first met her. I don't know if you have been aware of this but I figured you want to know. I probably shouldn't judge you both like this but the last times I saw you two together.. you are not exactly doing too well. You might not have realized but she was not happy in the slightest when you found her yesterday, more so she seemed pissed off. I am just glad that she decided not to go through with her stupid idea.
Oh, I wouldn't take what you saw as an indicator of things being rough between us. That's just how we resolve a difference of opinion. The fact she didn't take a shot at me or just run off anyway should speak for itself.
Regardless. We took some time to make up later that night.
Though that's the problem with being in this position. Having responsibility to my people but promises to keep to my partner. I can't be everywhere at once. As much as I want to watch her back, there's a myriad of things that'll fall apart if I try to make time to be there. Fleets aren't going to manage themselves.
...
But it is what it is. I know she's still in there.
Probably better than anybody.
We'll have to catch up again sometime. We can swap stories of the past.
