Everything went well until I logged in the server.
There wasn't any problem from making my character, but 3 seconds after I entered the game after picking my character I got an error message saying:
"The connection to the server has been lost. Either the server you were connected to has crashed, or your Internet connection to that server is not working. This is usually an intermittent problem. Please try again later.
I tried searching from mother forums, but wasn't able to find a similar problem.
I also noticed when I ran the FLServer there are some Errors appearing for example:
ERROR: item 'dsy_kusaribb' is not valid
~
ERROR: C:\Discovery Freelancer 5.00.8\EXE\flhook_plugins\micecontrol.cfg:113: reputation not valid
ERROR: C:\Discovery Freelancer 5.00.8\EXE\flhook_plugins\micecontrol.cfg:115: reputation not valid
ERROR: C:\Discovery Freelancer 5.00.8\EXE\flhook_plugins\micecontrol.cfg:123: reputation not valid
ERROR: C:\Discovery Freelancer 5.00.8\EXE\flhook_plugins\micecontrol.cfg:124: reputation not valid
ERROR: C:\Discovery Freelancer 5.00.8\EXE\flhook_plugins\micecontrol.cfg:125: reputation not valid
ERROR: Time lag detected seconds=1.727326 ticks_delta=17273260
Things I've done:
1. The game and discovery mod was downloaded from the Discovery website, so there shouldn't be any problems with the files.
2. Installed the main game and patched from the DSLauncher.
3. Port Forward the necessary ports 2300:2304
4. Disabled IPv6
5. Used -sIP:2302 command.
6. Run the game and enter the server
7. Made a new character
8. Server lost
9. roll on the ground and cry.

Goto /EXE/flhook_plugins/
Find dsacesrv.cfg
Make this this is set to disabled.
Not sure if its failing a check but its sounding like it.

Don't worry too hard about the errors, it's just listing IFFs that don't exist in your minecontrol cfg, you could honestly just copypaste the main servers cfg setup (not all files are listed) and it should fix some of those problems
Thank you so much.
It really was a failing check, it's a bit odd that something went wrong after all the files used was straight from the discovery server.
I'll copypaste the main servers cfg setup as well just for good measure for stability.
Thank you again, this has been a serious help for me.
