Greetings and salutations, you may never heard of us, which is why I am reaching out, Freelancer to Freelancer. We seem to both be starting up in our own venturers and that is where I see an opportunity. My name is Cruikshank, and I own majority shares of "Magnum Defiance Corporation/Collaboration" along with our executive board. We would like to branch out to you as an independent but working relationship between the two of our startups. We have separate strengths and weaknesses, but together I believe we can be stronger.
It was addressed to me that an advertisement had been sent on a wide broadcast, that is what caught our eye about another Freelancer startup in the first place. Quite the catchy tune I must say myself. Oh, I have also uploaded it to this transmission just in case, so it could be verified that this was yours. Anyway, before I illustrate any specifics on what our partnership could be, we will await your reply based on your confirmation if such a partnership would be plausible and any specifics you would like to address in it. That will be all, and thank you for your time, Cruikshank out.
Good day CEO Cruikshank of Magnum Defiance Corporation/Collaboration,
I was pleasantly surprised to see another Freelancer organization reaching out - in my view any new contacts from our catchy little jingle ad made it worth the effort to produce!
My name is Jake Donovan and I represent the Freelancer organization of Interstellar Transit.
You've peaked my curiosity with this talk of partnership.
I'll let you know right off the start that past business experience has taught me to walk rather than run into new relationships with different organizations out there in the sector. We will gladly let you know what we are about, and our future plans and focus, to see if our 2 groups might have synergies working together to get us to our goals faster.
As the jingle goes, we are firmly developing our resources into the service of passenger transport throughout the busiest parts of Sirius, where charters have no problems grabbing quick contracts, as many groups are always on the go. Quite often, when the passenger side of operations allows, we have run some packaged goods, as they only require space and are easily traded along the routes we already have familiarity with and enjoy.
We seldom go off-lane - in fact, there's potential for working together there if your group does, and if it makes business sense, as our charts are limited. Such work would also require escort ships or tightly coordinated convoys, as the risks outside house space for us would drive our insurance costs up substantially.
Another opportunity to work together may be in larger cargo operations - currently we avoid taking any supply contracts as we just don't have the capacity to compete with any of the major haulers, nor does it make sense to do so as it works against our business plans.
Thank you for response to our ad! We hope this preliminary information helps you to determine in what areas we may potentially work together. I look forward to hearing back from you after your analysis of my data with your Executive Board.
It is good to hear back from you, Mr. Donavan. Over the years I have seen many things pushed too fast too early, and that is bound for consequences. Perhaps working out knots in each other's strings will testify the plausibility of working together and working together well in fact. The board and I have gone over a few things I will bring up here. You say your ships "seldom go off the lanes" yes? Well, we are explorers some of us, so when it comes to reaching places, they are all in that, that's for sure. It is possible to help you reach places with whatever needs doing elsewhere that you simply cannot do, because of the fact that you cannot or will not travel there.
Speaking of ships, we have a few transports that are good for heavy loads that can travel quite a distance. We can handle supplies, but not people, so having one of each together would cover the entire ballpark on our level. A final thing we are working on is escorts, pirates and the like are everywhere nowadays, it wouldn't hurt to have protected convoys and the like. If you have any specifics that you would like to go on over about what we could do, do let me know, Cruikshank out.
It does sound like your organization could be helpful in all the ways that ours currently does not service.
I'm currently in the process of reaching out to many of the bases and some organizations we've encountered in our experiences thus far delivering passengers throughout the sector.
There are potentially opportunities for supply, and with that - escort, depending on the responses I get from each of these entities. If the ask is large enough, I'll likely need assistance in fulfilling specific contract requirements.
Expanding my fleet to include either another larger passenger craft or a medium sized cargo craft for supply I've considered as well. I'm sure the profit from contracts would more than cover the cost of docking fees for parking any cargo ship during my passenger operations' voyages - or at least they should!
As for the off-lane excursions, I'd have to have some pretty decent contracts outbound and ideally return setup before we update our insurance with the cost of the risks involved. That said, perhaps with your escort or maybe two, I'd be willing to try out the paths to the popular Zoner Freeports or more remote OS&C locations.
