Character Name:Nanami Shimizu
Biography: I grew up in New Tokyo, the daughter of a factory worker and a shuttle technician. Life in Kusari's lower class was harsh and i always felt kinda disposable labor by those megacorporations like Samura and Kishiro Technologies. I worked as a transport pilot for one of these corporations flying dangerous cargo routes for a very minimal pay, dreaming of saving enough credits to move with my family to a better station.
One day, i discovered that my supervisor was facilitating human trafficking - selling desperate female workers to slavers in the Border Worlds . I believed, for once, that the Kusari State police would bring justice, i reported the crimes but later i discovered, naive as i was, that the Police was deeply intertwined with corporate interests, so not only they ignored my complaint but even arrested me on false charges.
i spent literally months in prison, surrounded by women who had been chewed up and spat out by Kusari's system:workers discared after workplace injuries, former companions of corrupt officials and political dissidents who dared to speak out. In that crucible of suffering as i define it my resentment grew by the day into burning hatred.
When i was finally released i returned to my old district - not to hide, but to find answers. That's when i met a woman named Naoko, a quiet figure who had lost her sister to the same trafficking ring and had almost the same experience as me. She always talked to me about particular topics at her teahouse topics about freedom from Kusari's governement, liberation through rebellion and a possibile future where women would be no longer treated as commodities.I wanted to learn more but the State Police raided her teahouse.I barely escaped watching from a distance while Naoko was taken into an armored transport. When i returned to the devastated teahouse i found in a hidden almost broken compartment ,containing you, you the Golden Chrisanthemums manifesto. The pages detailing about Yuyu Matsuda, your dreams of an egalitarian future and your willingness to fight - and die - for that future.
Reading your manifesto felt like seeing my own pain reflected at Naoko. It felt something that i didn't felt in years of life: purpose.
I now contact you and i await an answer by the Gen'an.
Reasons for joining inRP: I want to fight but not alone against this deranged Kusari governement for a better future for us all.
