Didn't I just say that the Nomad ID isn't used for anything? There are a grand total of ZERO people using it, with any luck it will disappear for next mod version.
Keeper ID is different, please check it. Also note that not all Keepers are Nomads straight up, there are a decent number of human/Nomad hybrids in their ranks.
Again, for those that haven't been paying attention, ID is a ROLE not a SPECIES.
Just as you scan the ship for the ID and loadout, you would also detect the pilot, such as you do with pilot commodities. This would also show more variations such as Male/Female if you so choose. The ideal thing would be to do a description, when I was playing Neverwinter Nights people often had descriptions of themselves in the examine window.
Hmm. Interesting little idea, although unfortunately there is no easy way to tag player-made descriptions into things visible ingame. Another thing alongside ID/scanner might be doable to indicate a rough idea of what's crewing the ship, but I'm not sure.
I recognize the "[....." speech so iv probably ran into you (im kinda at that point where your just tired enough to where you cant think straight)
Anyways... one of the ships i use is an AI as well (Guardian.059), though most people already recognize the way its RP'ed and sends messages (using **message**) because of the Sentinel ship that came before it.
The one thing i kinda dislike about the AI roleplay though is how some people simply talk as if they were human.
If youv seen me flying the Guardian you probably know what im talking about, seeing that it's messages are systematic, only very little changing between messages, example for those that haven't:
Common messages (stored to be used repetitively)
**Alert: Multiple Contacts: Fighter Group -- Location: <manually typed in sector>**
**Action: Wait for assistance, Engage Defensively**
Less common messages (manually typed out messages)
**Target: <Name> -- Query: <Short, simple>**
**Target: <Name> -- Request: <Same as above>**
**Target: <Name> -- Order: <Same as above>**
Also, for Any AI ship, it helps a good bit to have a Character Story posted. As it allows you to describe the build-up of the AI into what it is now, and what it will be later. Which is much better than simply saying "//Oh, Im an AI that was immediately put into this Battlecruiser"
What if we had a species commodity as well?
That WOULD solve many misunderstandings (and create new problems.)
"Species - Human. The pilot of this vessel is a Human. Talk to them to find out more."
"Species - AI. The pilot of this vessel is an artificial intelligence. Contact them to find out more."
The nomad ID can just die. No need to have it, as the Keepers have that part.

to solve the AI and "machine" Problems Make like AI/Machine Faction Harvsters are that so Harvester Npc's or Othr Machine Npc's I always talk with my AI like this *Explorer unit 1675 Activated* *Proceeding.* *Scanning....* Etc. I even had a Conversation with a jnker after he saw my text that he wanted to scrap me and sell mah vocal/speach/com systems  for a lousy price of 15 mill haha
Yey Planning on going back to the RoS With a leash and collar arround Mah Neck yey. And Will be Active in GRN and EFL... [Once i start playing again]
The idea me and Scornstar had that would solve alot of these probs and be in good RP...
A new commodity much like pilots, only its called a "Data Node"...
A second commodity much like crewmembers, only they are called "Service Robots" or "Labor Droids"...
Harvesters allready RP the "Data Node" by dropping a "History of Sirius" instead of a pilot.
Data Node = A requirement for any ship that is controlled by an AI. Wording would signify that it houses an AI that controls the ship.
Service Robots / Labor Droids = Can be traded like a commodity or used as a robotic crew, ect ,ect. These have many RP possibilities and uses.
Both should be sold fairly cheaply on bases that already have or use use robots. Could be bought on bases that want or need robots.
For instance rheinland has alot of robots and would probably sell the ones they didnt need or use, corsairs need workers that dont eat thier short supply of food. This make any sense or a good idea?
