Right, everyone whos ever owned a capship or trading vessel knows that if you get close to the stations pier/tower bit and then dock you insta-dock.

This also allows ships to undock (Big ones)

I was wondering if it was possible to move these points to inside the docking bays on shipyards, so that if you want to dock your Battleship, you have to fly into it and then hit dock...

This possible?

Seth

Er.... Battleships are wy too big to fit the existing docking bays. You know - those with doors.

And if you mean those big, long and ladder-like thingies most shipyards have...

They are used for building ships, not docking

And I'm against changing the dock points. You have completely no idea what a horror it is when those spots are in the "correct" places. Your big boat keeps turning, turning and turning... You waste minutes.

They *could* just add more in those locations, might add more of an RP element... having to slowly pull the capship in for repairs ect:)

I was just thinking -- you know when you come out of a jump gate, and you come out of the sides, into open space next to a jump gate, i dont quite know how this is done because I know nothing about doing this so I apologise if this seems quite dumb, but can you not make that happen for when you have a cap ship or something?

it might fix the whole undocking problem you get with larger ships on some stations, if, just for technicalities sake, you could have ships undocking from a position on the side of the ship?

with larger shipyards like norfolk/baltimore type shipyards maybe these points could be inside the big ladder things, i don't know, but yeaaah
:)

Your dark moors by night is the unspoken sunshine of hope in the morning. Tomorrow you will be presented with a kid, whose forehead, swollen with newly growing horns, will predict the battles of love -- In vain: For the offspring of this playful flock will stain your cold rivers with red blood. Death will consume your land, and this kid, martyr to a forgotten cause, will lie in your streams forever, never rotting.

And we will sing in X Minor, our lack of hope of change.

Hmmm... do you mean inside those huge scaffolding-thingies where they construct ships? That would be interesting...

What I have to say is regarding quote.

Leave dock points where they are.

However, when you buy a ship. For instance, Liberty Cruiser. It launches you from inside the "scaffold". (This would probably mean that every ship launches from the same point.)

Anything I say is not intended as offensive, and to try and deliberately misinterpret it as such would be an attempt at trolling via misrepresentation.

It's not a conspiracy, it's localised bias. They're not intelligent enough to form a conspiracy.

I haven't forgotten you. Where's my barge!?

I've played on servers a little with fancy stations and the "really neat ones" are almost always a nightmare to dock. It would probably be easier to make a barge than change the stations.

*cough*
