This is weird.. I have been experiencing EXACTLY the same thing on that Czech RP server where I ran for those 2 months, maybe it is caused by some weird constellation of stars or is it just a coalescing chain of world events which we don't notice but they slowly wear down our morale..?
Thing is, you only have to provide a lil effort just to control yourself. Is it so hard to control yourself against the frustration caused by a GAME?!?
Is it so hard to try to communicate with the guy that just violated a rule? Maybe it is, Since the person is Miles away from you, thus you are less ''shy'' and less self-controled and you don't fear the consequence of what you do. So in short you react more violently than if someone would insult you in your face in RL. That is stupid really, especially when it is just a GAME.
however,
There is no need to argue with a cheater, etc. We can all agree on that.
PS: This is not directed at anyone, sorry if the use of ''you'' gets confusing
I learned the hard way. I almost left Disco over "irritation".
The best thing to do is get off the game and cool down.
After you're cool, come back and have fun.
Don't let anyone get you down.
Be water, if they punch you just roll with it.
Don't punch back. Find something that cheers you up.
(And no I don't mean blowing them out of the sky in game,
pick something in the real world.)

How many threads have their been on player behavior? hundreds if not thousands since I started here...
Its nothing new here people...
Those people say "It is getting worse!" "Discover is a chore, not a game" Its not its always been a steady problem!
Its always been the same, day in, day out...Just because you got caught in a little situation in some system nobody ever visits with a n00b in it that wanted to start an angry noob competition, doesn't mean the noob behavior has gotten any worse.
In fact, its a hell of a lot more isolated now, than 2 years ago! Yes, the atmosphere has changed on the server...But only because those who put the effort into following the rules see it ruined by another noob who decides to put nomad guns and Corsair weapons on a Liberty Battle Cruiser with a trader ID.
Stuff like this ruins it for everyone. And no matter how hard we try, no matter how many of us post sanction reports, not matter how many of us get up-tight, snotty and annoyed...
This will always happen!:rtfm:
The shear size of this community guarantees it will always happen. The popularity of the mod...Everything! An endless supply of noobs will be supplied until the day of Discovery's death.
And Discovery won't die! Because there are so many players! Its a vicious cycle!
So in future when you want to post a revolutionary post on client behavior, please just pretend on a notepad, and customize a fake "Add Reply" radio button in Adobe Dream weaver or something...So we don't have to hear it!:P
mmkay?

If you compare 4.83 and past versions to 4.84, you'll see that we became EXTREMELY bad. Maybe I just noticed it recently. But the problem is still there
