This might sound dumb, but perhaps there is a way to fairly implement a cloaking like device, imagine a counter measure with a extremely long refire that went shot makes you invisible on radar for a short while, not invisible to the eye, just to radar like a stealth bomber. Of course ammo would be extremely expensive, to avoid over use of it, and a long refire.

I read somewhere in another post on these forums that it is impossible to hide players from radar, I think due to limitations with the game itself.

Oh god not another one...

Igiss had said a million times there will be no cloaking. It works fine, but Igiss says no every time it gets brought up.

Take a peek at Tekagi's Treasure too. They have a working cloak that is somewhat balanced.

Up to Igiss anyway.

No thank you, no cloaking devices. Idea has been killed about 100 times over, make this one number 101.

I would like to know HOW they got it to work correctly.

I see no reason why it shouldnt be implemented... though it would need to be put in carefuly and with many restrictions such as it being limited to certain ships.

How?

It must be built into the game engine somewhere....as they had it in SP.

Obviously there is some way to turn it on, I haven't got a clue how.
