Yea, a death doesn't necessarily mean he has to kill off the RP story.
As for ID... Military ID doesn't allow battleships, I'd say just fly with a Lib Navy ID. It's up to Dave, or the ship's infamy to let people know this ship isn't what it seems to be.
kuvacz - When you are killed do you delete your charecters ?
I think that your points are not constructive at all. It's easy to see you don't aprove with such an idea but making such a demand is downright stupid.
There is a very good place for such a ship to land. I think you can RP it out with the Harvesters , thus making Omicron Kappa you're new home.
Flying the ship with the Liberty Navy ID is the best choice you have so far ( until the / or if the Terro ID is granted )

Actually it doesn't exist atm - so ...
A player char could at least pretend to have made an insurance for
his ship, but a hostile AI ? I doubt that !
That's why I'd still say - once killed forever gone.
using that method of thinking that would mean a large majority of Mon'Star's victims would need to remain dead as they wouldn't be able to escape his thirst for death. if your were lucky enough to make it to an escape pod before your ship exploded, he'd just shoot the escape pod.
so, huge amounts of people would end up having to recreate characters which no one wants to do. so i say there has be some level of leniency
Well maybe the ship isnt entirely destroyed when it blows up. I mean the hull is made of a nanite technology correct. So whileever the ships core is active the ship would rebuild itself. This would take time to do so that explains why the ship isn't heard or seen for 4hours.
After this time the ship could spend time checking the ships systems before heading out to attack again.
This being said i think a dreadnought is a bit too big to big in my opinion. Possibly a liberty cruiser class vessel? at least to start off with. However seen as the ship is built of nanites it could theoretically morph in shape and size once it has enough resources to do so. (Same way it repairs itself). So the ship could actually begin life as a smaller liberty ship.
This gets a big YUS from me good job. I must say it could also give us 'ere colonials something to do.

Just to clear this up. The hull is not made of nanobots however the ships ai can direct the nanobots to repair more than just hull damage. There's no morphing going on.
On the Dreadnought issue they would have already tested the ai systems on smaller craft like a gunboat with great success, why would they not want to install this on the largest and most powerful craft they have? I see liberty as a very vain government. All flash, no photo.
Theres no problem with that mate, when you said nanobot control i thought OOH Nano ship  so thats what liberty's best and brightest were doing in zone 21.
Even still its possible the ship could build the hull around the damaged areas even once it is technically destroyed.
