How did I get conned into doing this report?... *sigh* well here it is..

Well, not much to say really, I started a routine patrol, witnessed the Navy trying to coax a trader out of Norfolk shipyards so he could pay a fine (Why didn't they just land and apprehend him on foot?, maybe the Navy is becoming incompetent? but thats besides the point)
At that point, I received a distress call from Chief Myers, apparently he was being swarmed by enemy ships and was crying over the radio for help... well ok thats an exaggeration but the swarm of enemy ships is the truth! As I I arrived, I found an enemy bomber and our esteemed Chief dueling in the middle of a furrball. With the combined force of our two liberators we managed to poke the poor fella to death, to which he finally had enough and committed suicide in the sun... Its a shame, we could have used another worker at Surgarland, I hear they fell behind this quarter on their production numbers...

Well, today was all nice and cozy, up until Jeff yelled at me to launch. Seemed there was a Falcata in new York, so off I went to dispatch the joker. I found him after a cursory sweep, but the blasted jerk had backup. Him and three other bombers ganged up on me. I fought as best I could, nearly got one of them, but a pair of gunboats decided to step in against a single Liberator. ((NPC GBs)) Add to that five or so Wolfhounds, and it was a very bad day. Nothing more to do until my ship is repaired.

Well today while in my office doing some paperwork we received word of an outcast dreadnought lurking by Manhattan, with haste I loaded up the swat buggy and launched and began searching. It didn't take long to find the rather large ship by NewYork's sun, how did the navy not find it? Anyhow I scouted him out and awaited navy reinforcements. When a task force of a Navy Battlecruiser, an LSF bomber and a Merc Bomber arrived, we began pursuit..
At the "newyork" jumphole he stopped and fought, but the power of a Battlecruiser and 3 bombers took him down. I myself scored the final blow, with a SuperNova fired point blank into his engine core. Unfortunately the blast severely damaged my Bomber (Blew off every component except my SN) so the bomber will be in the repair bays for a little while.

Well, today I took down two criminals with the assistance of the LSF and navy. Then I was helping a new member of the LPI (Independent) callsign "Browny" get his equipment when a Rogue gunboat, callsign "Rockafella" splattered my liberator all over the trade lane. Then my escape pod flew back to Ft. Bush, where I picked up a old liberator that was going to be scraped but still had equipment on it. I flew to Norfolk where an LSF and Browny were being attacked by yet another rogue gunboat! After a few minutes the old liberator gave out on me after a barrage of hits from a Cerberus turret and i ejected. Well, it was going to get scraped anyway. Minutes later, Browny's liberator exploded, and his escape pod soon joined mine at Norfolk Shipyard. About ten minutes later, the cruiser LNS Omaha showed up and made short work of the gunboat, and amazingly, the LSF made it through the fight. Now I'm waiting for a new liberator to come in from Baltimore for me and writing this report. Oh, and there were several sightings of the A.D.M.I.N.S entity "Kurain" throughout the day.

After finishing up a useless patrol in Colorado, I jumped over to New York. The system-wide comm channel was buzzing like crazy. Seems a trader by the name of Martin (can't remember his last name for the life of me) trespassed into Zone 21 and was not evacuating the area after being warned by LSF Agent Silverwolf. A brief firefight reportedly ensued and the transport retreated at last. I wouldn't have cared less about including this incident in my report if it ended there, but I'll get to that in a minute.
LSF Silverwolf and a Navy cruiser by the name of Prometheus joined up with me above Manhatten and it didn't take long for more action to come along. An un-IDed "Beetle" piloted by a PunkMeOut pulled into orbit and both I and Silverwolf managed to get a scan on him, finding a massive supply of artifacts in his hold. After a quick halt command he fled onto Planet Manhatten, where he continued to deny possesion of any contraband. A blockade of 1 fighter (myself), 1 bomber, and two cruisers proceeded to form a blockade around the docking ring. After almost a half an hour of reasoning with the smuggler, he finally came to his senses and paid a 5 million credit fine to Cruiser-Prometheus.
As if the day didn't have enough action already, the aforementioned trader Martin appeared in Manhatten orbit and landed. LSF Silverwolf explained that he trespassed in Zone 21, opened fire on an LSF agent, and fled the scene (after him repeatedly rule-lawyering Silverwolf that getting 5k away from the battle is fleeing). We took up blockade formation and ended up letting him off the hook just this once. I suggest we in the LPI should keep a close eye on this troublemaker.
Well, me 'n' Karl were around, when a couple of vagabonds were loiterin' about 6k from Manhattan, hurlin' various verbal abuses every which way. Since one was in a gunboat, we called in a Navy gunboat of our own and engaged the two fools. Me and Karl assert that we didn't need it, though.
...Leavenworth, this is Jeff. If you are hearing this, then I am most likely dead.
I was running the Texas sweep for the ferrets reported, was near Beaumont when it happened. My scanner died on me, and I asked for a light from the Plymouth. Got a vector to the New York gate, and told the autopilot to get me there. I had other things to worry about.
I dozed off, the adrenaline high wearing off, the one I got from being on the trail of a couple of Phantoms. I woke up to a prickly heat...The computer was flashing the radiation damage sign at me.
Something disabled the audible alert.
I...I dunno...Something's trying to get me, it seems like my ship is trying to kill me...
I pulled it out of the dive and locked in a course for the gate. I think I'm dying.
The rad meter is hovering at 4,000 mrem...Five times the lethal dose...I don't have much time left...
I've failed you, sir...I'm sorry...
Tell my father I'm sorry...I had the chance to save my mom....but I was scared...Tell Donovan I'm sorry. That Jeff is sorry. Contact on frequency 4e5kl229... FRAGMENT ENDED

Yesterday another LPI officer and I intercepted a pilot trying to access Zone21. After he ran off I checked my long range scanners and found him and another pilot in the Alaska system. The second one had just started FL so I asked him what he was doing there. He said he had a Nomad weapon so I asked him to exit the system. He came out and I confiscated the weapon. Today I got a tip off from a pilot by the name of Riku that some smugglers were going to enter New York. I intercepted one (pilot Snowman carrying 525 units of cardi) but he escaped to Rochester. (OOC: The server then lagged and everyone lagged out). I have not seen him since. A while later I took part in a joint Navy-LSF-LPI mission to kill 3 Phantoms. Mission was a defeat. Later that day, I was sitting outside Manhatten and scanned a pilots cargo. He was carrying over 3000 units of cardi. He managed to get into Manhatten before I could stop him (Yet again the server lagged and was not able to impose a fine on him).

Subject: Trader from Rheinland
I was keeping watch at Texas, as there seemed to be an awfull amount of unlawfulss present, and i Scanned a person named : ''Phantomx''.
He was coming from bering and was carrying Diamonds. I asked him to stop and cut his engines. He did it.
I said that those diamonds, coming from Rheinland, are not to be sold in liberty. He seemed confused. I told him about the trading embargo, and asked him to drop the Diamonds, not fining him, assuming he did not know of the embargo yet. He denied, and made a run for it. I disrupted the TL to NY jg and asked him again. Again he engaged his cruise engines. I shot down his shield an partly his hull and asked a last time. he did not reply and cruised away once again.
I destroyed him and destroyed the Diamonds
