there is things here that are hard written into the rock, such as names, ships loadouts, ships, id, tag.
Blunt wrote (sorry - forgot to quote):
I'm afraid that I can't fully agree.
I'm all for players having the freedom to roleplay as whatever character they want, but when Player X decides to fly his Outcast Battleship, named 'Papa Smurf the Elf Lord with the Magic Cure for the Clap' through New Berlin, it begins to limit the rights of others to have a reasonably believable universe.

' Wrote:Well, again, I will give the Outcast Battleship example.
Let's say Captain Rodriguez of the Outcast Battleship 'Barcelona' is sighted in New Berlin, and gives his in-character reason as being 'I fancied some sauerkraut, so decided to take the Barcelona for a spin round to the delhi by the Ring to shoot down some transports and steal their munchies.' Of course, he'd be referring to NPC transprts, so as not to break any rules, but still, this would infuriate me.
I don't think Hyung is suggesting we can't have opinions about others' RP. What he's talking about is behavior that causes unnecessary division in the community. If you have serious doubts, talk to the other player in private chat. It could be a great opportunity for that person to be mentored by another player in a constructive manner, or you - *gasp* - might even learn something from their reasoning. If they're unresponsive, take a screenie and report.
Nothing Hyung has said precludes any of this. What he's warning against, as I read his excellent post, is taking personal offense in system chat, throwing down the gauntlet in public, and frankly, creating a far greater problem for the community immediately present than the player is whom you're critiquing.
I may have misinterpreted the intent, since I personally amn't a fan of large denunciations and similar. If I dislike something, I tend to ignore or report it. It's above my pay grade to yell about.

But that's just me.
I don't know if you ever met CR in game at all, but their RP is one of the best in this community.
Of course, this is also just a subjective opinion, which I'm entitled to.
I hate to say this, but I've never understood how that was OORP.
A navy officer flying a rogue ship? Yeah... that's out there as would be an LPI loading Rheinland guns on his cruiser.
A rogue who takes the most useful part of any ship he defeats in battle?
Yes. That makes sense to me.
Against the rules, but I never did get how loading certain weapons on a ship if you're a rogue (or especially a Junker) was by definition OORP.

Logic has no place in RP Sir, and will be treated as flagrant metagaming until you jump on the bandwagon and begin making random accusations of rules violations against anyone you come in contact with whom you can't immediately kill.

Sounds like I'd better outfit a rogue and head to Liberty so people can report my logical tendencies with proper abandon. I'd hate to ruin RP by not giving people someone to petition.

Don't worry, I have already petitioned your post sir.
