i know theres a way to make it impossible to activate within 30 seconds or more of being hit. (cloak on NSU works like that). As for CD i dont think so. I think you could have it programmed so once its activated your engines cut, you cant turn, shields go off and weapons lose power.

You would be mad to use it then in a fight. And if you cant use it in orbit of a planet, you wouldnt be able to jump either. Due to the gravitational pull of the planet.

That's misleading Armageddon. You could use it, but you likely be pulled into a collision with the planet. Or worse.
