Liberty Rogues - A highly organized and powerful pirate faction operating in Liberty space and surrounding Independent Worlds.
Junkers - Itinerant population of unknown origin who comb debris fields looking for scrap and equipment that can either be repurposed or sold for cash

Yeah heres the difference right there, the Rogues are a kill on sight faction, the Junkers are not. The Rogues may not dock on lawful bases, the Junkers can.
Edit: The ID gives them the right to pirate because they are a little bit dodgey, not outright unlawful. Many Junkers are entirely lawful and should be treated as such, the Junkers walk a fine line.

Yes but thats the point, BH's are dodgey as well, and they are more often shoot first ask questions later types, not bound by the strict oversight Police and Military would have to deal with. That is part of the reason houses keep them around, to do deal with people that the Navy or Police didnt have enough evidence to deal with themselves. The Bounty Hunter isn't worried about getting evidence on someone, this is a Junker and they are all part of a family, so if this ones not doing something illegal, his brother probably is, so whats the diffrence? This is how I see the RP of bounty hunters, they wont nessesarily wait for someone to do something wrong if they seem dodgey.. as junkers do.
If you look at it from the Bounty Hunters perspective, you got a Junker, you can do a weaps check and splash him and ain't no one gonna care, cause even if some junkers ain't scumbags most are. Relieves the boredom of space and maybe he's the cousin of the one that sold you that faulty plasma modulator that went tits up in the middle of combat on you a few years back.
Some BH's wouldn't, but some would. Mine, if I had any BH's anymore, might splash one for fun and it's completely within RP.
To Zelot for all the posts: Good rules lawyering, altough we are on Role play server not Rule play server (as someone told in other topic), so BH attacking junker with water cargo is not RIGHT, in fact Bhs shouldnt really attacky anyone, unless its selfdefense or bounty... Too bad bigger half of Bhs are " U red I kill yo " type. Your arguments sounds like you are either one of them or their personal advocate. In both opinions I feel sorry for you if it is truth...
I buy things I don't want to make an impression on people I don't like.

If you know me I am not an advocate for Bounty Hunters, I am an advocate of the rules, and when someone posts about how someone is wrong for doing something, when they havent broken any server rules, I do defend them, whether Bounty Hunter, Outcast, Lawful or Junker.
This is the problem, and one of the reason the admins have had so much trouble with OORP setups and ships and such. RP does not override the rules. The admins are setting up a prosess for this, but the real problem is that people seem to think the rules dont matter. They do, if you say we play on an RP server and not a Rule play server you are wrong, go out and break the rules and see what happens. If you think this is the way disco works, that you can ignore rules in favor of RP, you are the one I feel sorry for.
' Wrote:edit: and Since I have been pirated by a junker, I tend to consider them pirates.
because you have been pirated once by one junker doesn't mean anything for the rest of them...
I have been blown up by various pilots with/without a reason but I never came to the conclusion that all BHs, RM, Civilian etc are terrorist or whatever...
Still, do what you want. A real Junker will never go to Kusari, and you AFA should never leave Kusari. So no chance for any conflict.

Cheers,

The Junker Congress has stated as one of it's goals to increase it's presence in Kusari, which they have been doing so..........
Also, I dont like the idea that if a Junker is not hauling contraband, that no one is allowed to attack them. I see the hordes of power traders switching from Zoner to Junker ID, as no one will be able to do anything to them?
Also, as to me rule lawyering, I would say it is all of you who say that Junkers are allowed to pirate, but are not pirates that are rule lawyering why a Bounty Hunter cant engage you.
