Open Comms Transmission
To: Corsair High Command
From: The Aldebaran
Sender ID Code: DO-962-8

BEGIN TRANSMISSION
-----

This is Commander Dark of the Battleship Aldebaran reporting status of recon mission to Omicron Alpha. Outcast activity was less than expected, roughly 3-5 Ships were located in the area, only a couple of which where actual outcasts. Upon being spotted the Aldebaran was engaged, after a rough fight all targets were eliminated. Good news however, it seems as if the outcasts have no fleet ships in their system at the time being. The Aldebaran has stopped over at Freeport 9 for repairs and will be heading home.

Recon report complete. Commander Dark out.

END TRANSMISSION

1) not all ships were destroyed (2 were)
2) you had invisible guns at one stage
3) you used a stupidly cowardly tactic
4) I dont count getting killed at 2k range by invisible weapons a death on my part. bug maybe...

"All Targets Eliminated" in my eyes means they either fled, or were destroyed. Next time I'll use different wording.

EDIT: Bernard, you, BlackPearl-Yotogi(sp?) and Some rogue where all players I know I killed, didn't pay attention to any other kill names, but I know there was 1 more kill, I think it was someone I already killed, making 4 players, and 5 kills total.

Unfortunately don't know what to do or say about this.

I didn't realise using engine kill was a cowards tactic, especially when I made absolute sure to go slow enough that you guys could still engage, and even pass me.

Lag? All my kills took place within weapons range, I do know FL's netcode isn't perfect.

Edit for typo & A second edit for kills listed.

Well, for one DO, I almost died at 2.4k to be precise, I remember that. And I was asking what have you mounted this time.. the scan showed Corsair turrets... but they were invisible shots, I would have dodged them at that distance. Can't dodge something you don't see...
Anyway... it is a bit (lot) lame to cruise like that but... what can I say??? If you haven't done that...
That 5 sec cruise must be increased, after all, a BS going to cruise like that..?!

If the stars should appear one night in a thousand years, how would men believe and adore and preserve for many generations the remembrance of the city of God? - from 'Nightfall' by I. Asimov
The Outcasts consider Siniestre Nube a sacred place for several reasons. Early explorers discovered a jumphole within the depths of the cloud that leads to a strange world of ringed stars and strange craft. All ships in the burrial ground are placed facing that hole to honor the Alien Spirits. - An Outcast rumor

Ok IMO on the cruise topic, you guys are saying I should just suck it up and turn off my engines all together? Afterall most of the fight I was moving at my ships default speed of 90 and you guys still found THAT unbalanced? so do you guys want me to just sit still, let you ram me and just lay down and die? I played by gentlemens rules, I didn't use bots or bats untill everyone was eleminated, and I didn't cruise out of range, so I see no problem.

Theres nothing wrong with flying straight at normal speed, just hold off on the Cruise, flying 5k away then turning to re-engage, thats a fighter technique, only fighters use thrusters.

Angel, there wasn't one time after you guys engaged me that i went 5k distance and turned around other than the initial moment when your group engaged me, when my shields were half dead, I stayed put, righ under your crosshairs, the only people that could have remotey be considered as shield running were your pilots (Which your pilots weren't) I stayed put the entire fight other than moving in a straight line.

@Admins, please lock this thread, I made an RP post and it's being invading with non RP. Thank you. (Granted I did participate in the Non RP, still needs to be locked none the less.)

Wow, once again, when the fighters that were still engaging me were able to pass and manuver around me Without their cruise engines, it is physically impossible for my ship to be travelling at cruise speed.

Engine Kill on a battleship does not mean you are flying at cruise speed. It means you are flying at whatever speed you were at when you hit the engine kill button, which means if you hit it mid-acceleration into cruise speed you can be moving anywhere between 90(my top speed) or 349 which is cruise top speed.

First my turrets are unbalanced (Which I replaced) Now my tactics are. It's ridiculous.
