Or rather than just starting with a starflier in NY, why not in the disco activation options get the user's choice of trade or any of the 4 houses or pirates or freelancer and equip them with basic ships like the patriot, cavalier etc.
I would also recommend to introduce plenty of new ships. The ships power go in an order like Liberty<Bretonia<Kusari<Rheinland.
Why not give a basic ship to all the factions, so that the players can survive in the houses?
I had a nasty experience. I was looking for a nice ship for 180K and I bought the Barracuda at Kyushu. After buying that, I could never return to Liberty, becaues of the strong NPCs there.
I remember before i left FL a few months ago this topic was goin on about a "Black Dragon" Model for a Hogosha Fighter. And quite frankly if it doesnt go into Disco 4.85 i'm gonna shoot my computer. It was made for Disco and it's so damn good i'd do anything for it.
' Wrote:Long time ago i have made a model of a Hogosha VHF, but was not pleased with. So i made a new one.
Actually, i have two versions of this one. As single and as doubleseater. Screenshots are showing the doubleseater. Difference is just a flatter shape of the cockpit and whole size.
I'm not sure, if Hogosha might get their own fighter, so i was planning it as Kusari Civilian HF to. In this case an equipment of 2 lvl 8 and 4 lvl 9 weapon slots and the single seater with smaller size will fit best i think.
For Hogosha the doubleseater with standard VHF loadout and a bit bigger size.
Well, I got this idea while trading passengers from planet Manhattan to Los Angeles. And then polymers from Los Angeles to New Yark Station. I easily earn 70k profit using a CSV. Its the best trade route that I've found (just 4 trade lanes away).
But my point is, when you sell the commodity you have it is added to the base's commodity. Why should you buy it again from the base? Like, we are only selling the commodity for a profit. Why to buy it again from that place?
Also, I buy passengers for $574 each from Manhattan and sell for $899 on Los Angeles. Then the return fare should be same too. It is a bit weird.

I will explain this as easily as I can.
If you sell a commodity at a base(passengers in this example), they will stay in the bases inventory until you undock. You will only be able to buy back as many as you sold them. For instance you sold 50, you can only buy those 50 back. The buy price would be the same as the sell price. Now if you were to buy them back and take em where you originally got them, you wouldn't make any profit. Actually you would make exactly $0 profit. Contact me on secure comms(PM) or I will contact you and show you different routes ingame and also try to explain all the questions you have to the best of my ability
I made a post for thids elsewhere, please delete it for i must have miss this one. So here's my request....
I have a Suggestion for the slaves commodity. Seeing how in history when colonists transported slaves to the Americas from elsewhere in the world. They stuff as many as they could into their holds, Also, having a very high death rate. So my suggestion would be to make them, if possible to be "highly perishable". Suggestion number two would be to make them, If possible, to count as .5 of a regular unit of cargo. Like the VIPs take 5 units. But also slashing the sell price in half for each one at the bases. So you'll still be selling them for the same price. I kinda thought this would make for better RP as in what it would be in real life. Not really a big deal, just thought it'd be cool.
I'd just like to suggest; if it hasn't been suggested already; that we get rid of the "under construction"lane rings in Tau 31 and replace them with an actual working trade lane.
After all Disco is like 100 years into the future or so after the original Freelancer so unless the builders had a really long coffee break I think it would have been built by now, wouldn't it?
Who said Bonn station was under construction, have you noticed that all of the interspace stations are different as you go around sirius?
Anyway back on topic, i think that the Jump Gate in Hokkaido should also be completed as well as the trade lane that leads to it, and it should actually lead somwhere interesting, like another Kusari system or somthing.
