Nope, I do love the way the Blossom is now. It's one of the most "freelancer" looking additions to the game for me, not to mention the aesthetic is perfect for the GC.
Oh and that second model is much better than the first, but that's just because I love the little flow-y line things.
I like the current Blossom. But from behind it looks... odd. The new model should take the role of the VHF because it looks more... powerful and the old one should be converted to a LF or HF, maybe?
Well, I think it is great work, but it doesnt fit the GC. The general shape is GC enough but there are some issues. First of all it is too bulky. All kusari ships have a lightness, a thinness and a smallness about them, this model really doesnt in my opinion.
Also the circular u-shaped bit on the top doesnt feel right, again to bulky, though I do like the rays coming out from the center, reminds me of the Japanese imperial flag it was i believe?
The back end in general feels a little heavy, that whole rear module and the engines. I do like the wing engines, though it might be too modern and advanced for them. I do like the little tail things, though i think though could be improved by adding another curve in them, so looking at them from the thin side they appeared more S shaped. But that's just an idea.
Overall, as it is, I would say it looks more like a zoner/gc Hybrid. Great model, just doesnt feel GC enough to me.
My post would look very similar to the above, except I would describe the model with a bit of LSF in there.
Great model, just a tad too "modern" and bulky for the GC.
Re-model for the LSF?:P
Edit:
