Quote:I hate to say it but sometimes we need to be elitist.
I'ma quote you out of context on that:PNoted.
Seriously, though, Andrew, we feel your pain. Last time I tried to actively RP in NY outside of leaving it (and this was about five months ago now, I think) I got chased over an entire flotilla of vagrant Outcast warships that were just sitting there because people don't like me. This is the game world we play in, and we have to suffer the chaff to get to the wheat. Don't give up. I need somebody to carry on the spammage. But know that come 4.85 there is going to be hell to pay, in one of two scenarios:
A) The Developers massively screw things up as far as cap balance goes, the pvpwhoring restrictions fail, and we get to throw tomatoes at them/
B) The thing comes out perfect and all the OoRP whores get sanctioned into the stone age after they are rendered useless.
Quote:Also, I would second that advice, people are awfully trigger happy in Liberty and sometimes you just cannot blame them.
I disagree. Is the POTUS awfully trigger-happy with the Football? Neither should trained Navy pilots. IRL they can't even open fire without clearance codes from mission control. I doubt the Liberty Navy would allow much more freedom in that respect.
Quote:Now, from your viewpoint, it may not have seemed like we RP-ed much, but from my viewpoint, we RP-ed quiet a bit, considering you were trespassing in not only Alaska, but trespassing with Prisoners who now know about Alaska (you even claimed these were high risk prisoners....bringing dangerous prisoners to the secret experiment grounds is not a very good idea) and even worse, bribing LSF officials (how else could you have docked on Fairbanks?)
That entire post has issues, but this is where I see the most. What, my dear friend, might a prison liner be doing leaving Fairbanks? Hm? Possibly...transporting prisoners? Why couldn't you have RPed it as a normal shipment of prisoners like any sane man would have? You were trigger-happy. Your position is water-soluble.

Yes. However the LN/LSF/whatever lawful forces already have KOS orders to anything in Alaska.
Also, I did not shoot Angelfire down. I just woke up.
*Sigh.*
Edit: Apologies, I appear to have addressed part of a post that was not aimed at me.
Edit 2: Rudo, I miss your old avatar, but your new one is good anyway.:D
I wonder if anyone bothers to read my entire post.
First off, as nooblet stated, we have orders to destroy anything in Alaska that isn't Navy/LSF. LPI is neither. Hmm...let's take a look at the Liberty lawbook..oy, what's this?
Quote:all unauthorized ships, except those that are LSF/LN IDed/IFFed, will be destroyed without warning
We gave him more than a warning. In fact, Gafwmn ordered him to move towards Minor jumphole and leave, never to return again, granted he drop the prisoners. The prison liner refused. Not only that, he threatened that we would be demoted if we attacked him. Now, if that prison liner was say, an LSF prison liner, we would probably have let it go.
Also, addressing the first issue:
Quote:I was one of those pirates. I was trying to RP and got fired on. So I returned in kind.
We stood 8k from Angel's ship for a good few minutes. I don't understand why you couldn't have RP-ed then, instead of waiting for us to say engaging, move the 8k towards you, and start attacking. Furthermore, there was another pirate there. Secondly, we were kinda of busy juggling with:
1. Telling the BH BS to bug off....which it didn't
2. Fighting
3. Trying not to die.

He's using the LPI ID since he it's as close to a Prison Transport ID as he can get.
Give him some slack, and RP over PvP next time. Not like a Prison Liner was, or could be doing any damage. How the heck does Fairbanks get any prisoners transported if you blow up the liners?
ummm, Alaska... Even if the system is empty. if there is one single LN or LSF player online on the server, may it be in the middle of nowhere, you should ask first. otherwise you are going to get shot quite fast.
If you want to freight prisoners to there, use the LSF or LN ID (will get less troubles). and do like Magoo did once when he wanted to enter Alaska to trade something to Fairbanks: "We are transporting a shipment of fuel to prison station fairbanks".
If you stay as clear, short, and direct as possible (and make sense), you will be able to RP more. If you go in an ambiguous definition of your presence, we are going to scratch our heads and say, meh um, shot him guys? due to misinterpretation.

I probably should have. Bad judgment on my part to close in, but I was also concerned with backing up the Hacker as I'd seen that situation play out before.

I'm keeping the white-haired cyborg on ice while I choose between which face I want to represent one of my characters.

Unless I'm chasing a nomad through, creating a new character, or dropping off cargo, I completely avoid liberty nowdays.
I would comment on your prison liner ID though... use an LSF ID. LSF are the liberty security force, they're like the FBI or CIA - the big guys concerned with 'national security'. They would be the ones tasked with moving high-level criminals into secure areas such as alaska.
