Come on.... Today a hessian named RH was near freeport 1. A bounty hunter, named europa, and me were in the system. He said i was able to stay in the system (me being a pirate XD) as long as i didn't pirate anyone. So then this guy comes, RH, and goes right next to freeport 1. Being an enemy of his faction, i was inclined to kill him, but i couldn't, the stupid freeport rule was protecting him. Now i just wanna know... Would a REAL Pirate or Bounty hunter wait for him to leave the area, or would they persade him.... Another scenario (this one made up) A fleet of ships of one faction, are attacking an enemy faction. The enemy faction sits right by a FP, now what. Post your comments on why this should/should not be a destroyed rp rule.
It's a good rule if anyone had RP on mind. It's a load of bull when Hunters get shot at, run to the FP and then whine that you can't shoot them. Then they call their friend's battle cruiser and attack you 3k away from the FP.
Then after all this crap has went down, and in RP the Zoners would be pissed that they used their FP as a shield, and they continue to dock and do the same things with no qualms.
Wait.... so i can't be saunctioned for this. BTW the updated story is, i went back and killed him, (i asked tenacity about the rule, and he said any hostiles or enemies can be killed.) And RH threatened to me report me, he was doing alot of "lolwut" in rp chat... Most likely going to try to report me.
We have instituted a similar "rule" for Yanagi and we attack players violating it (as if we are defending our actual base). If somone flees to the base with hostiles in pursuit they must dock or move on--we allow no loitering or taunting--again as a base safety measure which is what I am sure real life would reflect.
