I just recently joined the Discovery community and I had it in my mind I wanted to be a smuggler. Not necessarily moving illegal commodities (cardamine, counterfeit software, etc.) but use the jump holes to move stuff from Rhineland to Liberty and other things. I don't know of a way to stay neutral (barely above hostile is good) with the lawfuls but friendly to some pirates (mainly Outcasts + friends).
Is there any way to do this or can an admin supply me with a smuggler ID?
Smuggler would mostly mean trading stuff to unlawfuls, trader would be trading between lawfuls. A smuggler can trade between a lawful and unlawful, but i'm not sure a trader can. Ask a person like tenacity.
EDIT: You don't need admins, just become neutral with the two groups you plan to trade with.
Smuggler IDs are on Junker Bases. You can get them by bribing the Junkers, and then doing a pair or a trio of missions. The bribes for Unlawfuls are also generally on Junker bases as well. All you need then is a ship to fit!
Also, welcome to Disco! Please, play nice, make some friends, and have some fun. Oh, and keep away from Synth Paste....
[8:32:45 PM] Dusty Lens: Oh no, let me get that. Hello? Oh it's my grandma. She says to be roleplay.
[12:49:19 AM] Elgatodiablo: You know its nice that you have all that proof and all, Bacon... but I just don't believe you.
Make sure to use the Omicron Alpha -> Omicron 90 -> Omicron Major -> Omicron 100 -> Omicron Minor -> Alaska -> New York route. You'll make friends that way.
Oh, I forgot to say. I have close to 200 ping on the server, so missions are a no go, because while I can see players just fine and can probably PVP without a hitch, NPCs warp all over the place and are pretty hard to hit. :(. That's why I was asking if an admin could do me the favor. Could I pay a fine of sorts?

Admins don't do this, sorry. Though, 200 ping isn't that bad. I usually play with ~150-180 and I can hit NPCs fairly well. I understand that is a bit different, but if you do missions out of Rochester or Beaumont in Liberty, you should be able to kill the NPCs very easily, even with lag.

Darn, alright.
Could someone escort a fellow smuggler to Omega-15 (where they sell the Turanic Freighter) one of these days?
