Ian walks in the recruitment office on New London.
On one of the walls hangs a big poster with a couple of fighters on it hunting a corsair.
The slogan says: Defending the crown against all enemys.
A BAF officer approached him, its a older man around the 50's he says "Can i help you son" and keeps smoking his pipe.
"Youre coning here for some information or do you want too join?" the officer said with a queestioning face.
Ian looks at the poster again and than on the officer and says "iam here too join sir"
"Well mate then fill in this form for me will you" and hands him a clipboard with questions.

Personal story:
I never new a rich and easy life.
My father raised me with a firm hand, he always told me things aren't coming easy in life you have too work hard for it and earn it.
My family is in the mining industry.
My mother works on LD-14 administrationoffice.
My father worked as a miner on LD-14, 8 years ago he had a workaccident and lost his arm and was unable too work.
I had too take over my fathersjob at a age of 17, its a backbreakingjob but it maked me the man iam today.
Sometimes there was a attack on the miningstation.
Some days ago three mollys entered the station and try too steal some cargo, Ians mother was on the same time in that cargobay.
I was with a couples of friends in the messhall when we heared of the attack and we remmembered my mother was in that bay.
we headed over there too look for hear but found the 3 pirates standing around my mother the bastards, that was a mistake from them.
Without hessitation me and my 3 friends engaged the mollys who werent a force against a couple of angry miners.
Later when the police arrived the found the pirates tightly bound.
my mother was save.
I don't feel like a hero but i will defend my family and friends whenever i can.
But after eight years i now its not what i want.
I want too see the universe, at nights when i sit in the bar i hear some lads talking about there adventures in space.
One night i meet this old fellow he must be in the 70s.
That old fellow had lots of storys too tell about his days in service of the crown.
He flew crusaders against many enemys.
And so i desided too sign up for the Armed Forces.
As he is finished he walks too the BAF officer again and hands him over the clipboard "Finished sir"
The officer looked at the paper and said "bloody hell boy i asked for a little background not a entire story" and he shakes his head.
"Well you will hear from us" and he walks back too the desk.
When Ian arrived home he told his parents what he had done, he could see the pride in his fathers eye's.
A young man steps through the recruitment door, and moves towards an officer with the grace only true star pilots possess. "Do wish wish to join the BAF, sir?" the officer asks in his direct, thick, British accent. "Maybe, I don't know." responds the man "I want to be clear on this before I sign my best years away to Her Majesty's Navy." "What do you mean, sir?" "I mean what are policies and rules about being a pilot in this navy?" he said slowly "Who gets command of gunboats and capitol ships, because I've studied naval command at West point? Will I be patrolling Bretonia and stopping smugglers, or blasting Kusars in a Templar?" The officer glanced around the room, planning his next move. Finally, he said "I'll put you through to one of my superiors, he'll help you." Somewhat content with the answer, the man sat down and waited.
//OOC: Just to be clear on this; I don't think I should be a capitol ship commander, I'd like to be a Templar pilot. (Maybe command a gunboat, maybe.) What I really need to know is what being a BAF pilots involves, or will there be some training to sort it out?

The man sits in chair reading the fine print of the BAF recruitment form. "Every thing's acceptable, here's my application." The recruitment officer took the form. "Thank you Mr. Ummm?" "Owen, my name's Blake Owen." With that he left the building and headed to his apartment.
The recruitment officer peaked at the form.
Name: Blake Owen
Age: 23
Eye color: Green
Hair Color: Black
Height: 6'2"
Place of Birth: St. John's hospital, Leeds
Physical Information: All medical records show Blake Owen as fit to pilot a starship. He is in excellent health.
Combat Experience: Freelancing against Kusari Naval Forces, as well as Liberty and Bretonian criminals. Five complete missions, seven confirmable casualties inflicted.
Educational Information: Graduated from Liberty's public schools, then studied fighter combat and command at West Point, as well as capitol ship command. Never received his diploma. (Dropped out halfway through the capitol ship course, citing a wish to return to Bretonia.)
Reason for joining: When I was two years old, my parents fled to Liberty to avoid the pirate problems that plagued Bretonia. When I was twenty-two, I went back to my nation of birth to rid it of the problem that drove us from our home. And here I am.
A tallish, clean shaven man with short, dark hair walks into the room.
" Is this the BAF recruiting office?" He asks.
The aide looks up from her crossword and glares at him, obviously distracted from a very important train of thought involving one of the few unfilled lines.
"Yes, it is, what do you want?"She snaps.
"I'd like to join, I have a lot of fl..."
"Yeah yeah, take a form, fill it in, give it in and don't bother me, I'm working"
The man, looking rather annoyed with the aide, takes a form and walks to one of the desks, saying over his shoulder:
"Oh, by the way, 23 down is "Centurion" "
He sits down and starts writing in a near illegible scrawl, before crossing it out and writing in block capitals:
Name: Robert Jones
Home planet: Cambridge
Age: 23
Education: Degree from Corpus college, Cambridge in combined physics and mechanics
Previous occupation: Freelancer for the past 2 years, doing work for the BAF when they didn't have the pilots, time or guts to do it themselves.
Previous experience: See above, plus a few months working for the LNS.
Reasons for joining: I've been basically working for the BAF for ages, this just gives me the same deal only with a steady paycheck on top.
Preferred area of assignment: Where Bretonia needs another pilot most.
Other comments: I also have my own templar, the Sircian, lent to me for "as long as I continue to serve the BAF" by one of the Lieutenants on the Norfolk when I singlehandedly wiped out a corsair battle station in a hawk. Although it's a few years old and may not be as well kitted out as many of your ships, it's still servicable, in part thanks to a few personal modifications I've made to it, so you wouldn't have to pay as much to get me flying for Bretonia full time.
With the form completed, he stands up and hands it to the aide, who has just finished her crossword, and sits down again, rummaging in his bag for something. Having found it, he pulls out a large book and starts reading, waiting for a response from the BAF about his application.
//OOC: my name in game is Sircian, which I was planning to change before I signed up, but I thought it would be best to kill two birds with one stone by signing up and then, if accepted, getting the full name change to BAF|Ens.Robert.Jones, also I do not expect a "steady paycheck".
A man walks in the room. "Is this the BAF recruiting office?"
"Yes, Name?"
"Moritz Karlson"
"Ok Mr.Karlson, take a form and fill it."
Personal Profile:
Name: Moritz Karlson
Home planet: Leeds
Age: 28
Eye color: Black
Hair Color: White
Length 1,79m.
Weigth 84 kg.
Personal story:
The father: the Lawyer, worked in New London. It is killed by pilots Kusari near outpost Glasgow during a business trip there.
Mother: the Housewife, lives on planet Leeds, after the beginning of war with Kusari has gone to work in military hospital.
Moritz (never I love if me name by name, I would prefer that to me addressed Mr. Karlson or it is simple Karlson) After the college termination to Cambridge has gone to work as the lawyer on the native planet Leeds, I worked in firm of the father. So I have worked some years then war with Kusari has begun, but I was not while is called on military service.
After death of the father, induced by feeling to sweep, rage and as sincere experience for the further destiny of Bretonii (after all my father has been killed not where that far, and in Leeds, in our native system) I have accepted the final decision to register in Royal Fleet.
