Well as soon as I saw mail you got me thinking about how you could send mail to a player in World of Warcraft. If that's what your thinking of then I think it might be possible to do, but at the same time it couldn't. If that wasn't what you were thinking then no, what use would we have for it. It would fall under the useless category along with credit cards.

It would be useful in making equipment transfers, but it would also kind of ruin the RP of obtaining the equipment.

(Example being: It would be possible for an unlawful to buy an SN at Arranmore, and transfer it to one of their lawful characters, to save flying halfway across Sirius)

Slight hijack but those credit vouchers are Super great for carrying on a bank ship. Especially if you saving up to buy a cap ship in one fell swoop. You can trade the vouchers to bring down the cost of the ship itself..

The only problem is that the game regulates price based on production and sale, and it has no means of price fluctuation. Who would produce the most mail and who would pay the most for it.. I like the idea but it just doesn't work.

Not just snail mail, but inter-civvie freight as well. Like the stuff my mum sends me from home while I'm at college...

Thought about it & came up with.. Naaaa
Mail would be about as useless as it is becoming now in RL. With hologram projectors & such, would be no use for it other than spam mail. Can't really see it being anything that would be profitable as it serves no use. Good idea, just not practical in game in my opinion.

Just DATA or something similar might be good.

Therefore (as a cryer researcher) I accumulate information, I got pirated by Hackers and they demanded my research, rather than being able to give anything I had to delcare "transmitting data", it'd be cool to actually have something to give.

The Hackers would like it, Ageira, Cryer, other scientists could all enjoy using it.

Well, I think that this could be a viable idea, but not for .85. I'm doing the icons for the commodities right now, and if I have to do another I will scream.
