I suggest we reassign Stormpike to northern border defence, now that the war has taken a turn for the worse moving our ships to the other side of Sirius isnt the best idea.

I disagree. Am I correct that the attack on Bretonia could not be prevented since no one was on-line when the attack occured? If that is the case moving the ships in would make no difference. But I would ask that everyone have at least one vessel that remains in Bretonian space for defense purposes (ie the defense fleet).
The purpose of the SF is to defend Bretonia, we can't just send out a large group of ships to the Omicrons when Bretonia is at war, and the Helghast might be taking over Kusari now. We just cannot do this, sending that many ships out there will weaken us. Just yesterday we came under attack by terrorists and need a Battleship, Destroyer and Gunboat to take him out. If you still insist on sending the strongest part of our navy out of our space, reassign my ships to Bretonia because i don't feel sending ships out there is in the best intrest of Bretonia.

Focus on your own defense for the time being. The nomads are apparently not going anywhere and they certainly can't dent out defenses, now that the first of our heavily armed and fully operational battleships are coming online.

OOC: Ok, I've heard rumors that not everyone is happy with moving out chars to Delta. Let me explain my thinking...since most of us have several characters we would want to have the ability to have some stuck in Bretonia for defense but others free to move around and do whatever (good for providing aid in other areas for allies, not to mention a change in scene). At the moment, the whatever would be attacking kusari and working a trade agreement (this would change with time and depending on the situation). Now the assignments, as stated earlier, are your choice, I've placed some char names up there but I had mentioned that if anyone wanted to be reassigned they could just ask (PM or otherwise). So for those that are moving out to Delta and don't want to, just PM me and I'll change it. The Delta and Kusari attacks of course come second to defending Bretonia.
So here's what I'm going to do, I'll erase the assignment board. I'm going to keep the three groups and I would like everyone to PM me where they would like to place their ships. If too many capships get moved out, then I'll intervene and ask for volunteer(s) to switch their capships to defense. No one volunteers, I pull rank and order someone. The largest capship (ideally highest ranked as well) in a fleet will be designated the home ship for the fighter squadron assigned. Squad leader will be the highest ranked member in the squadron.
For me, the Magnificent will be on Defense, the Relentless on the Kusari Line, and my fighter somewhere along the Delta trade route.
After talking with Lance...Delta is too far beyond our normal trade routes so lets make Battlegroup Excaliber primarily stationed in omega-41 (light manuverable ships recommended, BS pick a different task unless you like ping pong).
Now with regards to stationing, don't think of this as "oh I'm stationed in omega-41 and can't go anywhere", the stationing is just a center or primary point for where to operate. If you're the only person in-game and there's a pirate on scanners in cambridge and for some dumb reason your defense char is in newcastle or several jumps away feel free to fly the omega-41 char back to Cambridge to deal with the situation.
Now if you're finding that we have to keep retracting that char everytime then let me know and we'll adapt plans (nothing is set in stone). At the moment I'd like to have something stationed along that trade route to provide some type of intercept option for traders.
BTW, for the two battlegroups
Stormpike = operating kusari border
Excaliber = operating in the omegas

ADDED: Went through the dump and was able to gather the previous assignments that were requested specifically. I've also assigned everything larger than gunboat so view the faction status board and if you want a change let me know.

Admiral, if needed, I can use a cruiser in the Omega systems. I think that this would work well given that it is not as large as a battleship, but still can pack a punch. Also, I currently have two ships in the Bretonian Defense Fleet, thus I request that I take SFGB-Tempest out of this. The reason is OOC: I cannot use both characters at the same time, plus, I have no SF ships allowed to leave the Bretonian Borders.
SFGB-Tempest can move either to the Omegas or to the Kusari Border if necessary.
As for SFF-Thames, it has not been commissioned yet. This ship, for efficiency's sake, can operate extensively on the border between Kusari and Bretonia.
