lot, without a thought for the reason. Not a true allegiance in sight eh."
Hoodlum wandered back to the bar, it had been a long night all round.
"Pops, the Gaggia is just firing up, something hairy and canine to be getting on with ?
Though the dog analgy, probably means a tequila or two would be a card carrying
solution ... Honey cake ?"
The mornings news was still showing the results of the previous evenings antics.
"Ladies, gentlemen, anything else while I'm on me feet ?"

"The coffee helped, Hood. Yergachef? You're not getting this nectar on bloody Manhattan, it's obvious. You've mollified the hairy dog. Remind me not to approach that particular kennel again, eh?"
"Right, I've had enough! I can't eat another bite. I'll have to pass on the hotdogs. Especially if you don't have any buns. I don't want ketchup and relish all over my fingers. I'll just have one last drink, and then head off to see how the crew made out at Jimbo's Live Bait and Sushi."
"Actually the Blend is 'Guatemala Elephant', not one you can get everywhere in Sirius.
Have to import that a damn long way. Still, worth the effort in the long run, don't ya know.
Stick a large Ciento y tres in the mug there, and hey presto, beats a couple of tequila
red bulls, hands down.
Watch those hands start to shake" ...

"El Toro Rojo con Mezcal??? Lordess, Hood, no wonder your hair stands on end!! How do you get the flippin' glass to your mouth, even?
"I'm toddling over to Cortez for a new load of "crick-cricks", but I think I'll detour to Belfast. I offered that delightful Skyedaughter lass a position as Cruise Director/Head Chanteusse aboard the Daddy W., but I've heard nary a word from her. Beginning to worry.
"Hood, keep this little article aside for Cleo, will you. It appears to be a particularly well-preserved and unique artifact from the Dom Kavosh.. just fell into my hands during a transaction. I hear she's a bit of a xeno-archaeology enthusiast, and I promised her first dibs on this beauty."
Bernard walks slowly into the IND part of the bar on Manhattan. Long time has passed since he was here, mainly busy on Malta with current affairs, the rebuilding of the Hispania project, the sso| problems... rebuilding the economy after the Blank Day (*OOC: The Big Wipe). Finally some time for R&R on Manhattan, he had to come incognito, of course.
He looks at the lot of IND traders, escort pilots, secretaries and whatnot kind of various support staff being there just to make the wishes of their employers as close to reality as possible in the shortest time... but business first, the company image. Jay Simon was at the usual place - at the bar, Bernard thought he left him in the same position at the very same place but he shook that thought as logically impossible - 'Hood had to move in the last month or more since I left!' he smiled to himself 'Good to be back and see we prosper as much as Manuel told me'.
'Hoodlum! You old reprobate!' Bernard walked up to Jay 'Excellent running of the Company, my friend! I see we're steadily merging with the Interspace as planned! We have grown and we need to think of the Corporate image. I need the attention of all the people, VPs specially, please make some silence...' Mr. Simon just made a sign towards the bartender. The android went to shut down the jukebox temporarily.
Silence installed after the people noticed the music isn't playing... 'You have the word mate!' said Jay.
'May I have your attention, Ladies and Gentlemen of the IND?' all eyes and ears turned to Bernard 'Thank you! Now, I have a suggestion to make concerning our Corporate Image: We need a flagship as we've grown enough to afford one. Name suggestions can be put with this beautiful young girl' he noticed one of the girls from the staff and pulled her forward gently 'she will pass them to me. It was agreed prior to this for the flagship to be a Liberty Carrier. A fine model and of a fitting size. Excellent design. Excellent armour and firepower. An ideal flagship if I may say so.' he paused for effect.
'What I need of you is to chip in a little. All of us will, I'm sure! The ship will be available for the VPs to use and command. I will buy and equip it and 'hand the keys' to everyone who chips in. I'll support the rest of the expenses of arming, outfitting and delivery to Newark Station. Thank you! Bartender, drinks on the house for everyone!' Bernard finished...
'Before anyone gets smart and decides to climb to the roof, take the stairs, I ordered them to be installed, the view is excellent from up there.'
**OOC: After we decide on the name, I'll make the flagship on a separate account and share the registry key so we can all fly the ship as needed (I'm planning some big RP for it, along with the escort wing and another ship, all of that is in motion). We can use it as a faction bank and so on.

"Good Gravy and Biscuits!", Pop culinized, as he sucked the last of his Sapphire off a reluctant ice cube. " Toddle off to Newcastle for a possible business negotiation, and return to find the Corporate structure re-thunk! Will those "keys" be available only to IC lads, or to us "free" traders as well?
"I'd be happy to contribute, Bernard, once I collect on a few recent outstanding loans, if only to watch someone try to turn that monster in less than half an AU..
"As for the new Escort Wing, I'm not sure I still have the reflexes required for a zippy fighter like the Viper. Let me think on that a bit. For now, though, put my dibs on the "John_Prine", just in case.
"Stairs, eh? You've taken pity on an old fart, have you? Let's go check out the view. Hey, Metal Head! Another Sapphire 'n Tonic up on the veranda! Chop Chop!"
"Good idea, Bernard! I'll certainly pitch in, though I am loath to pilot such a monster. I have a hard enough time keeping my CT off the rocks. Oh yeah! I just met one of our new escort pilots. Edgar is his name I think. He's a bit quiet, and doesn't look like he gets much sun. I hear his brother is also signing on. He's around here somewhere...probably under a table already. The man can drink like a fish! I think he'll fit in quite nicely."
"Hey, since the nadesico has disappeared along with nightwish, how about that as the name?" Markus said, "Though if you want we could go totally overboard and have one flagship for each station..."
'Excellent idea Markus! That will be the next step in our development I think. A flagship for every House!' Bernard paused 'Pops, I wouldn't take that Large_Huge_thing, that's already reserved, let's see something a little shorter, it's a hell to invite such a thing into a group. Keep those suggestions coming people!'
