Apperance: The C'Tan appear more to be jellyfish like, then humanoid. Floating in the air on hydrogen gas sacks located on the top of the body. Beneath these sacks is the central cavity of the C'Tan, holding the major organs such as heart, lungs, liver, and so on. The brain is also located within this cavity, surrounded by a tough outer covering, unbreakable by anything less then a Tech Level 12 weapon. A multitude of tendrils hang below the body, and are classified into two major groups. The Primary Movers are 4 thick tendrils and are stronger then the others, but lack in fine movement. The others, Fine Manipulators, are thin and dexterous but lack in strength. They have no obvious sensory organs, but are able to 'see' and 'hear' using a combination of heat sensitivity and telepathy.
Description: The C'Tan are weak physicly. However, their intelect is quite high by any races' standards and their medical knowledge is unmatched. They also have some limmited forms of telepathy and telekenisis, but mostly rely on thier advanced technology to fight, if they fight at all.
Empire Operations: The C'Tan belive that the universe would be safer under one rule. They also belive they are the ones to do it, and they possess the means. Using a specialized procedure that the C'Tan have labeled 'Enlightenment' they go into the subjects brain and use physical means to 're-wire' the brain. In younger creatures, this re-wiring can be undone with extensive re-education or by another procedure, although both are unlikely. In an adult, both methods of undoing the 'Enlightenment' is impossible.
The C'Tan have taken several other races already, using the strengths of each to bolster their already impressive military force. The C'Tan rarely do any attacking themselves, instead sending one or all of their conquered races to fight for them. The C'Tan wait in the back, providing medical and logistical support. Once the target race has been subdued, the C'Tan gather the remaining individuals and perform the 'Enlightenment' procedure. Races are often offered the chance to submit willingly, with the promise that they could continue as they do, only under the unbreakable rule of the C'Tan.
Society: As mentioned above, the C'Tan now rarely do anything themselfs, militarily. They mainly live on their home planet, N'grenis, which has been rebuilt since the Miralukan smashed their entire remaining society into the planet (See Below). Those who live off world are Surgeons, and perform the many medical operations as needed for the conquered races.
Somewhat religious, the C'Tan belive in the Light, or Goodness, and in Union of all races. Although they see themselves the masters of this Union, they are not inherantly evil as we define it. They truly belive that their version of Union is the only way to attain true universal peace and prosperity, and it has been argued that they may be right. Others argue that this is invasive and evil, and there may also be some truth to that. One of the major proponents of the antagonist view, the Miralukans, have commited mass suicide by taking the remains of their civilization, creating a massive ship from it, and ramming that ship into the C'Tan's homeworld. The C'Tan recovered; the Miralukans did not. While weakened, the C'Tan regained much that was lost, and also rebuilt the shattered remains of the homeworld, turning a large portion of the new structure into a memorial for the billions of dead C'Tan.
Current Status: The C'Tan continue to expand, recently aquiring several smaller races, including Vahkari, Tsukret, and portions of the race known as Homo Sapiens. Operations in the Sirius Sector, regarding these Homo Sapiens, are currently unknown. Seeker Drones have been dispatched to correct this flaw.

Looks good to me kane, I must admit I've always loved the fact that you've used the name of the necron gods (yes it's wh 40k) and virus has used a different spelling of necrons ( ).
Nice one Kane, and this should go a good way to explaining the presence of the Phantom
Empire in the Sirius Sector, and the C'Tan's use of the 'enlightened' to do their bidding for
them.
