Very nice, I'm very impressed. I like the spikey things ontop like on the Cruiser and that blade-ish thing infront gives it a nice touch so it's not as cliche with the Osiris model.

oh, and Jinx, to answer that question like 2 pages back, yes, 2 forward guns and 4 turrets sound like a good idea to me:)

Then again, how much more biased can it get when you ask me about the Order? lol, jk XD

I like both models. The first one moreso. I am not so sure about this idea that The Order has amazing shipwrights. They did steal an Osiris and did reverse engineering from there and the Neppy is a tricked out Avenger. As it has developed the new capitals are reworked Osirises so no new breakthroughs in ship design there. I think The Order going to the Zoners to help in ship design would make a lot of sense. Seems to me all the bleeding edge technology from The Order is solely rested on weapons tech (like supernovas).

I sorta view The Order as an independent militant group. They don't necessarily have the backing of a nation and they are constantly dealing with Nomad assaults. This would leave me to believe that they are more inclined to steal or borrow designs from others who have the resources and time to design and test new prototypes.

I like the second model better than the first, but it doesn't look quite right to me. It looks more like a BHG ship IMO. Definitely more Freelancerish though.

i think the old version (with falcon head) looks much better... and why we should add a new GB what looks like all other?

you planned to make a cap-killer

this falcon head design let the enemies fear it before they feel the firepower... lots do somethink different and add the falcon

My opinions on the three designs:

Falcon-head: No. No. Doesn't fit at all.

Modified Zoner GB: Nice. Interesting idea. Looks a bit out of place compared to the other Order caps, but it makes sense.

New Order-only design: Good. Solid. It works, but I can't say much else. It looks a bit too Kusarian due to the side ebelishments. Perhaps go over it a bit, change a few things up and it will look very good.

updated the skinning of the first concept - the second concept wasn t as good it seems. -



so - there it is - a higher resolute texture on it - and i payed a little more attention to what part of the texture is applied to which part. the use of the nailed dark iron skin makes it look like a tank though.

so i have decided that this version would be placed as the order GB. ( in the end, there are already enough "osiris variations" within the order fleet in all sizes to choose from - might be a good idea to have the gunboat look somewhat different .

ah - my suggested stats ( or at least the hardpoints i ll apply to it ):

7 turrets
and basicly corsair gunboat stats.

this ship is a HUGE target from above and below. - much more vulnerable than the osiris type ( well, basicly its the same like the zoner GB, which is of course much faster though - due to the reduced weaponry )

I thought it was going to have 8 guns though? 6 forward firing and 2 back?

And I love this ship, it would be like the millenium falcon, or the ebon hawk for my group of Order characters.

well - when i made the hardpoints - i decided otherwise... but in the orders favour...

original concept was : 8 turrets ( but only 6 forward, 2 backwards only.... 4 of the forward turrets would be able to spin backwards )

but now its:

7 turrets forward, 4 of them spin sideways and rearwards, too - and one is full 360 degrees.

so you gain one more forward turret.

or in other words - i simply saw no room for an eighth turret.
