LPI Senior Dispatcher Cindy Danes had just started her shift dispatching LPI's finest when a priority alert came in that overrode all other traffic and was routed to her desk....
"This is Sergeant Hull O'Brian, I have a priority emergency, Harvester in Manhattan orbit! I need back up now!"
Cindy was momentarily stunned, then her training took over. On every dispatchers desk there is a red button under a plastic cover. It was named the Priority Alert Notification Information Control. The dispatchers just called it the Oh Sh*t Button. This button cut off all other dispatchers and linked her into a Naval Mutual Support Channel and into a rescue channel for the Liberty Cutter Service. Her voice would be the only one heard from here on out.
"This is a priority alert! All SWAT team members converge on Manhattan orbit! Officer in trouble, Harvester sighted in Manhattan orbit! Any Naval unit and Liberty Cutter support would be most appreciated." Cindy had tried to sound calm, but she knew there was a little panic in her voice.
Next thing she knew, she received a alert notifying her that....O'Brians ship had been destroyed. She thought "Oh god, I hope he can steer away from that mechanical mon......"
As quick as the alert was there, It was gone. The life pod's beacon was ......gone.
2 minutes later the life pod's beacon came back, but 10 seconds later, it was gone again.
"O'Brian, can you hear us? signal somehow..." Cindy waited, but nothing came back except the chatter of units moving in to deal with the threat........
Suddenly her console went into Priority download mode. A micro burst transmission from the Life pod! She started to decode the download, it was audio only, and some of the file was damaged. She listened to what was readable.....
The dispatchers at the next desk looked on as her hands started to grip the sides of her desk, her hands turning white, and her face turning red with anger. Cindy made a decision right then and there, ALL of the LPI on duty was going to hear this. Screw it, if she was going to get fired, so be it.....
She routed the audio to the Dispatch channels and the buildings internal speakers.........
HISSSSSSSSSS STATIC HISSSSSSSSSSSS Bang clang "You hear me you big metal oaf? My life pod has a Nuclear mine implanted in it and its going to go off in about a minute. Well, the rumors of my death are exaggerated, I am very much still alive. I am writing this on a data pad I liberated from one of the nurses here in Manhattan General Hospital, They say I am supposed to be resting or some such thing.....
Lets see, the rest of my report.....
I launched from Fort Bush after dinner and started my patrol in front of Planet Manhattan. Out of almost nowhere a Harvester appears a the Manhattan - Fort Bush Trade lane. I opened a channel to it, challenging it, asking what it's intentions were. It skittered off and I didn't see it anymore. Next thing I know, it comes out of the West point to Manhattan trade lane and starts shooting up the place.
I started to maneuver my ship to make a distress call for assistance, when my ship was hit. I ejected and tried to make the Manhattan docking rings, but the Harvy tractored me in. I remember my pod being in it's hold, how it was.... taunting me. I knew this was a hopeless situation, I wasn't going to come out alive. I activated the Imminent Death option on the life pod and let the metal monster know as much.
Apparently, I don't taste very good, because the Harvy ejected my life pod. It sat there for a second looking at me. I aborted the countdown on the Imminent Death option. I just got this funny feeling wash over me that he was going to fire on my pod. I hit the eject button for the Imminent Death option and started up the motors to get out of there. The Harvy fired a couple of seconds after I ejected it, hitting the mine. The blast from the small Nuke mine kicked the He*l out of that life pod. I remember accelearating at all sorts of crazy angles, then I blacked out.
After that, I don't remember much until I woke up in the Hospital. Doctor says I am fine, and I will be able to resume my duties. I look forward to seeing all the guys and gals again....

I was released from the hospital and told I was cleared for duty. Picked up a new liberator and launched from Manhattan. Hmmm, haven't seen any of my fellow officers, maybe they are on break.
I started patrolling in front of of the Docking rings when the Navy assistance channel came to life. It seems that Prospector in his gunboat was sighted and engaged. The Navy needed a hand in taking him down.
I hit the Manhattan to West Point trade lane and brought all my weapons up to ready. I buckled in tighter and set the shields to maximum. The battle site was half way down the trade lane, so I deactivated the trade lane when I got close.
A query to the Navy if they still needed assistance was met with a resounding yes. The gap between myself and Prospector was swiftly closed and I unloaded on him with all my weaponry. I must admit, the man is good in that gunboat. For several minutes that I was involved I observed him throwing that gunboat at all sorts of crazy angles....
I closed on his hind quarters and started to punish his engines when a mine caught me off guard. The hull of the libby was punctured, and I had to eject. I have no idea what t he outcome of the battle was. I didn't get to see it.

I finally was issued a Guardian for the SWAT team, so I went about outfitting it tonight. Went to Illinois and outfitted it, and was on my way back to the NY system, when I heard of a SCRA member being in system. I conversed with this pilot for a few moments, whilst I checked the LPI computer system for info on this "Coalition"
The computer spit out that a group was taking up the fight from the previous Sol System Alliance-Coalition struggle. Rumors are that some of the Coalition members snuck aboard the sleeper ships and are here in Sirius with us.
Said Pilot was SCRA|Yue.Fei. She decided that she was going to shoot down some of my fellow officers, so I felt obliged to go and save them. I engaged said pilot and gave it my all, but I was once again shot down.
My Lifepod made it back to Illinois, where I picked up my back Guardian and headed to NY. Once I made it thru the Colorado to NY jump gate, I encountered a Outcast in the Fort Bush area. He was trying to Pirate OSC Yacht Adamantine. This guy must have had a screw loose or something, trying to pirate a liner like that. His name is |CCS| H.Exiliado.
He finally noticed me; I could tell because he screamed "Die LPI Pig!", and attacked. Again, after quite a fight, I was shot down again. I took my life pod back to Manhattan and called it a night.

Reported for duty tonight, still slightly sore from my judo class earlier. I launched from Manhattan to start my shift. Things were mostly quiet, a report of a joy riding diplomats kid, a break in at the hangar on Fort Bush, a couple of guys drag racing in Manhattan orbit, nothing too crazy.
Reported in to Fort Bush for Heavy arms training. Lots to learn as part of the SWAT team. Stopped in at Sunbucks for a Coffee, and stopped next door at he new sub sandwich place, Captain Nemos. The Italian Sub is really good...
Launched from Fort Bush to finish up the night and I was called to assist the Navy with a Dangerous perp, by the name of Kurgen. Flies a Gunboat. Pretty good at it too. I docked at Manhattan and suited up into my SWAT gear and re-launched. Caught up with him near the California gate. LNS Atlantic was already engaged and asked me to assist. I engaged and was doing pretty well at dealing out some damage, but I was getting better than I was giving. Again, Kurgen got me with a mine.
Once again, in the life pod I go. Landed at Manhattan. Hmm, why does the supply officer groan when I show up now?

Reported in for Duty and made a circuit of NY for good measure. Things were pretty quiet. That is usually when my shift starts to go down hill. Met up With Sergeant Jack Bauer, we decided to go for another round of NY, we took the trade lane to West point and ran into a Liberty Rogue, name of .:BW:. Onyx Wolffe.
Well, Wolffe ran into another Rogue, Name of Mercy, and they decided to join forces. Bauer and I engaged them while the Lexington stood off to help if needed.
Mercy withdrew, fearing that the Lexington was going to destroy him. Wolffe kept on fighting. Yea, he got me with a mine.
The Lexington tractored me in and the wreckage of my ship and dropped me at Manhattan. Hmmm, the Maintenance Officer spits on the ground when he sees me now....

Report from Sargeant Jack Bauer
After launching from Manhatten, I heard scattered transmissions of a Lane Hacker, Phate. I went to West Point to search for him but instead found a Rogue gunboat by the name of Mercy. An independent LPI by the name of LFB_Hold_The_Line was engaged by Mercy. I called for my crew to ready my independent gunboat, the LNS-Dawn as my eagle wouldn't do much against it. I landed and jumped in my gunboat and met Gafmwn, a navy cruiser. Mercy ran once we arrived, but we stopped him and rescued the pilots in his hold, at least 40 pilots were rescued. I then returned to Manhatten to get my eagle.
Awhile later, a few navy independents found a stolen Raven Claw, the pilots name was Zulu. He was identified as a Kishiro affiliated freelancer. I was talking to him when the independents ordered him to leave Liberty, while I ordered him not to. The navy fellows kept ordering him so he went to California. I asked him to stop many times but he didn't, so I fired a few warning shots. He still didn't stop. He jumped through to Cortez, where I followed hoping to stop him before he could get away. After exiting the jump sequence, he opened fire on me. The battle went on for a good 30 minutes. During that time, a few of my mines hit him, destroying his weapons. Then the Rogue gunboat Mercy appeared again and open fired on me. I was able to use the ice chunks to dodge some of his fire. He then fired on Zulu, destroying his ship. I used this chance to escape and returned to California.
After re-fueling and re-arming, I proceeded to the NY jump gate, where I met Mercy yet again. This time I called for back up. The [LN]-LNS-Repentance and I believe Officer Jake Ryan, I can't quite remember, responded. Mercy was then chased off by the Repentance so this left a pirate in a scimitar who also fled.
After this I landed on Manhatten for some food, drink and some rest. I went to launch again, but there was a problem with my Eagle from the fight with Zulu, so I captained the Dawn for the rest of my shift, meeting yet again...Mercy, a few times.
Sargeant Bauer out.
Oh, and Chief, if you are giving cookies out, I'll have one.
