I safely delivered Doc's ship to Shasta today under the watch of Sophie Noir. Thank you, Sophie. Doc will be happy to find his ship washed and waxed while it waits for him. And since an empty hold is a waste, I brought 3300 units of H-Fuel so we should be in good shape for awhile.
Well, my transport for Canaria to get back with my crew on the Vor'tcha leaves soon so I'll see you all later.
Mal is up to the gunnels in Flax right now, so we're accepting donations aboard the [TAZ]Flagheap.
...bigger gunnels.
And speaking of.. ahem. Boss, you owe me 5 Tons for paying that Serafin lad. He collected on poor NATE, it seems. Shall we tear down the wanted posters?
Since "Sophie's Top of the Temple Bistro" isn't completed yet, I'm setting up shop in Shasta's galley, folk. I should have the Pie ovens installed shortly, and we'll have plenty for the Holly Days! Happy Solstice from me 'n Fowler!
Heh...well good to know. I'll forward them donations to the Flagheap forthwith. Still doing my rounds and got the kid in Shasta on standby till further notice. He's chargin me out the nose for holiday pay, but its worth it to have the extra eyes watchin the Lady's backside and front side too. Well, I'm off to make wire transfers and run around like a pie slingin madman...oh, wait, I've always been a pie flinging mad man. Well, off to continue as usual.
This is beyond funny, E-prime. I lifted from Shasta this morning with a load of Scrubbies, only to find three uninformed buffoons in the system.
A Colonial vessel and a [CCS] ship were hobnobbing as if they were bosom buddies, and a trader with the oxymoronic name "Philospher" all claimed ignorance of the lockdown.
Holy Thud, partner, if people can't be arsed to read the News, we might as well open the system for business again, eh? I've got pilgrims to collect.
Fyre and I wanted to come home after being away for so long. Having been told to get our collective tails home by Ma Dis, We're both back in the fold. I wanted to take a moment and let you all know so that when you saw us you'd know it wasn't just space dust playin tricks on you.
Suffice it to say, we enjoyed our sabbatical, however it's time to buckle down and get to work.
I shall trade as normal and Fyre is getting her Gunboat sorted, spending my cash as usual. Fyre and fashions, I'll never understand that. I'll take a simple smock anyday.
Many days have passed since I took to the stars. Now I hear there are whispers of uprising among our fellows. The Hodge is clear in Rheinland of late. I must push the Podge before it is too late. Hopefully in my pushing we can chatter. I will be running a Firefly for a time, spreading the Podge and serving Hot Dogs. We have all the condiments, sans buns. Feel free to send some pies, we'll forward some Dogs. If we can help with any of the refugees, please send them to Freeport 1 in Omega 3. I will provide lodging for as many as I can.
It is good to be out in the field doing the Goddess' bidding.
Ah, Nas. you old coot. Reminds me of the good ol' ELF days, when we spread to every corner of Sirius to minister the Goosepell of Eris, wearing the robes of our individual flocks. Gimme a hug!
You have my blessing, Epopt Nasrudin. Pies on the way.
Kyte, I got a late report from Shamus out in the Siggies. Apparently your younger sibling Fyre is thiiiiiiiiiis close to completing her Temple Guard initiation. Attracted the attention of some curious lookie-loos during some of the Rituals, but all in all, Shamus reports a smashing time. Fyre is all tucked in and safe near the Hawaii, exhausted but still game for the final Rites. You two haven't lost your spark in the least. Kallisti!
I'm not the poet that Kyte is, but I'm here and happy to be back. I see my quarters are just the way I left them on Shasta... a total wreck. I'm currently fitting my gunboat and working on my guard tag, but call if you need me.
I've been getting reports about folks breaking the 5k no fire zone around our bases. Please, what is the approptiate response for this gunnyboat gal? I told them to make a report and send it to me to be posted, but is an immediate 'armed' response an option? I'd be happy to, if I had a clear ROE understanding.
It sort of depends on who's bein' violated, I suppose. Different Freeports have different conventions, but it's safe to assume that anyone causing a ruckus within 5K of ANY Freeport should be given a polite request to bugger off and behave. Gran Canaria observes a 10K buffer, but that's the only exception I'm aware of.
As to Bafflin', Goddess thinks Five is a nice round number. Shasta and Sedona will be fairly relaxed, while Pueblo Bonito...
Well, that's another matter I need to inform all you Popes and Popess's about...
The Architects just sent me an "updated" Invoice for design changes, including the addition of some gnarly station defenses and weps platforms. There are also some pleasant additions I am unable to divulge at this time; but rest assured, Goddess is extremely happy with the results.
That said, I had to fork over half a bazillion Tons of Flax to satisfy the invoice.
Our Temple Fund isn't exactly empty, but providing for new Acolytes' Robes may be an issue shortly.
'Tis the season, TAZmaniacs. The Gnomes in Accounting have spoken. You get my drift.
