I undertook a short patrol of the New York system this morning, the system seemed to be quite quiet.
After patrolling both the space around the Colorado Jump gate and Planet Pittsburg I headed towards Norfolk Shipyard and then onwards to the Texas Jump gate.
As I exited the trade lane to the Texas system gate I noticed a trader being attacked by 3 outcast fighters, I quickly engaged and managed to take out 1 of the crafts in my first salvo, fortunately the trader was able to jump out in the diversion, as soon after 3 more outcasts appeared on the scene, a tense dogfight took place in which I managed to down another 2 of the outcasts ships, then thankfully with my missiles exhausted a patrol of guardians from the Navy arrived and lent their support to the fight.
With the arrival of the new ships it was easy to predict the outcome and we finished off the outcasts and secured the area, clearing it of debris ready for the flow of civilian traffic to begin anew.
After I was sure the area was secure I made the journey first to Norfolk to drop off the escape capsules I had managed to pick-up after the dogfight for interrogation and then proceeded onwards to West Point.
The space around West Point was clear so I carried onwards to the Ithaca Research Station within the badlands, unfortunately as I exited the trade lane my sensors picked up a Rogue Gunboat near the station which quickly closed in on my ship and fired upon me, luckily I was able to eject before I was torn to ribbons and after the gunboat had left the area I radioed the station to ask for pick-up.
I then boarded a shuttle to return to Manhattan where I am now submitting this report.

Subject: Lesson 2. Registering with the LPI Guard for entry to the Illinois system.
Welcome again New Officers and returning Veterans to the continuing training series.
Today, we are going to talk about getting yourself registered with the LPI computer system so that you and your ship registers properly with the LPI Guard, so that you can safely enter the Illinois Guard system.
The Illinois system is the Guard (home) system of the LPI. We maintain a station there, Springfield station, where LPI officers can rest and refit or outfit their ships.
When you look on your reputation page you currently do not have an entry for the LPI guard. Don't worry, it's there, you just can't see it yet, because you haven't encountered them yet. What needs to be done is to raise your reputation with them from being hostile to at least neutral so you can enter the Illinois system and get onto the Springfield station.
This is simply done by completing 3 or more LPI Missions. The level of the missions is up to you, doing three level 1 missions will get you there. The best place to pick up these missions is the Bar on Manhattan. If there is only one, or no low level missions, you can F1, then log back in with the same character. Now check the job board once again.
Regarding: Current Rank, status of Liberty, and recruits
Right. So. Been busy, finally got around to filing this bedeviled paperwork.
Was flyin' around Cali with some recruits; Valentine and Desmond.
Good kids, the both of 'em. Apparently, due to a mixup back here at the office, I got assigned the rank of "Coffee Boy".
Mind you, not complainin' per se, but it confused the poor recruits. They understand the basic ranks, like Sergeant, Captain, and donut, er, Chief, but seeing a "CB" on the transponder must've thrown them for a loop:
Anyways. That's all good. Liberty's been right quiet today, so I was able to catch up on some things.
Jim out.

First day in space, thought my skills were going to be terrible. but they were okay, this liberator sure is nothing compares to the small police cruiser planet side. anyway. Sat near the mooring ring today for about. fifteen to twenty minutes when Officer Colin Sinclair clocked in and joined me scanning the passing vessels. About three minutes afterwards. we had a trade ship open fire at the mooring fixture and blasted empty space around us. We ordered the vessel to stop and it did not. We gave chase and then all of a sudden, an open fire order was given by Officer Sinclair. We opened fire and the vessel while under fire returned to the mooring fixture. Just before it docked, a bounty hunter launched its SNAC and destroyed the ship.
As soon as the Trade ship blew, i noticed a Xeno signature on my scanners and gave chase. i followed the Xeno by the name of Rico.Terras. the Xeno was flying a bomber, i circle the bomber for about thirty seconds until Officer Sinclair caught up and we engaged it. We fought the Xeno for about three minutes when its thruster went red hot as it tried to make an escape to the Jersey Debris Field. The Xeno then turned again and we finished it off about two minutes after that. here is a small verbal report from my comm on the last event before my shift was over.

"Earlier today a Civilian ship returned to Manhattan with the Life Pod of the missing officer Marx Meyer who was labeled MIA after a run in with a Lane Hacker. The pod from witness reports seemed to be badly damaged and reports say that the pod was found in the California Ice field *After a long pause* An entire System from the last known message sent by the officer. The pilot who brought the Officer back has disappeared after they dropped the pod off and may have been part of the Criminal Faction labeled the "Rogues". The LPI have released a statement saying that the officer is in medical and will resume patrols within the week. What a wonder, medicine is today. And now to the kitten that learnt how to hold a hammer "Ahahaha"

Started out pretty quiet tonight. Met up with Officer Sinclair and we decided to go to the Illinois system for refits for our ships. Had the work done by the Mech techs, so I caught up on paperwork. Sinclair and I launched and were testing the new equipment when 2 Smugglers, Demonica PT and Alfansis.Khruschev entered the system from the Oita Jump hole.
We attempted to stop them, but they jumped back thru the Oita Jump Hole. Seeing as how Oita is in Kusari space and that isn't our jurisdiction, we jumped into the Colorado system thinking that they would take the long way around to get to Liberty. Apparently, we put them off their lunch because they never showed back up.
We took a lunch break and caught up on some shop talk, then launched again. We ran into Deputy Chief Claire Angel, who had us make rounds of Colorado, Texas, California, then back to NY. WE helped Officer joe Smith with his Comms Panel and got that all up and running.
Officer Smith and I paired up to do some cargo scanning, when we caught Blockade.Runner Making a spectacle of himself. We scanned him, and he had a hold full of Cardamine! We attempted to pull him over, but he sped docked with Manhattan. We ordered him to undock, and called the dock police detachment, but he must have had a buyer waiting on him, because when he finally undocked, his hold was empty.
Whilst trying to get Blockade.Runner to pay his fine, a buddy of his, Pero, flying a Rhineland humpback freighter, joined him in orbit, but was acting like he was going to back us up. Blockade.Runner kept refusing to pay the fine. At his point, we were joined by the LN and LSF officers as backup. I informed him that the Navy and LSF had scans of his illegal cargo, and he wasn't going to get out of paying the fine. He kept giving me lip, so I informed him that he pay the fine, or I was going to turn him over to the Navy, and he wouldn't like that.
This is when Pero started shooting officers in the back. Blockade.Runner made a run for it, but nothing on my Liberator would neither stop his escape, nor destroy him. Officer Smith and myself then turned our attention on Pero, who was shooting things up like the old West. Unfortunately, he scored direct hits on Officer Smith, and he had to eject. I kept up my harassing fire and picked up Officer Smith's pod.
That Rhineland Freighter packs a hell of a wallop, it kept right on erasing my shields. Again, nothing on board could stop his escape, nor destroy him.
I landed on Fort Bush, dropped off Officer Smith's lifepod, and went off duty. **NOTE** AS PER Deputy Chief Markey, Pero and Blockade.Runner are now on the Kill On Sight (KOS) list until further notice.
End of Report.

Subject: Patrol Report
Ladies and Gentleman. Today i launched my patrol from Norfolk Shipyard. I flew via Tradelanes to Manhatten, where i met Officer Peter... Peter....sumthing. Don't remember. Well, only seconds later, an Outcast transponder was spotted near Manhatten. Guess who it was. Right! Jim.McKinsey.
Well, after making some comments about him while waiting for some support to appear (namely LSF which i could contact), we enagaged him.
Well, that was a very fast and hot fight i can say. During it, Officer Peter's ship was hitted by a mine of LSF Agent Deus.
We fought another ten minutes without anything noteable happening. Until Navy Commander Ryan MacTavish was successful! The Sabre of Jimmy eat a Torpedo! Which wasn't good for it's health.
Well, that's it from me.

[MARX.V.500341(S1)]:Well todays patrol started off well but after a run in with Duos.Everto a person from what i saw and heard has robots do his bidding or they eat brains i'm not sure. But his Outcast Destroyer Managed to board my vessel and take it over and caused the Mines in the hold to explode, for some reason they jettisoned me and i was picked up by the nearest DSE pilot. After an very long ride back to Manhattan, I hoped into my SWAT vessel that was on Manhattan. After along time of nothing happening except a brief sighting of what i assumed was another ship which turned out to be an order orsiris. I ran into an armory sitting above Manhattan which i proceeded to question about the faction and license, I had the [205th]LNS-Glory attacked this armory dropping its shields and a portion of its hull, I fired an SN as a warning towards the Glory which he took as stop firing and after a painful 10 minutes he explained that his Crew was high on cardamine and he thought i was a nomad, yet no crew where on board by my scanners so when i mentioned he had no crew he docked even after i ordered him not too and returned with his crew which he said "He was picking them up". I then proceeded to fine him for the cardamine which he ignored and started talking to a 522 that was in the system. After another 5 minutes of me yelling at him to focus he answered with "But in LNS i'm more important than you so you can't fine me".I apologize but i presumed i was recording the incident but it seems it failed to load.
That is all Marx out.
