To: Liberty Forces
Officers of the Liberty Navy, I am proud to say that in light of their extraordinary bravery, their piloting skills and their commanding ability, I am proud to hand out several promotions to worthy pilots of the fleet.
Sub Lieutenant Galen Anderson to Lieutenant Commander.
Lieutenant Mike Ypsilantis to Lieutenant Commander.
Lieutenant Zachary Ryans to Commander.
Lieutenant Commander David Hastings to Commander.
Lieutenant Commander Seth Karlo to Commander.
Commander Bill Kreagan to Captain
May these officers serve us with the tenacity they have shown us before. Good luck to you all.
Thank you Admiral and the rest of High Command for this promotion. I will continue to serve Liberty and its people with the same committment that I had the first day of duty. With this promotion, I will continue to serve as a role model for the junior officers and look up to my superiors.
On a final note, I would like to requisition an already used gunboat class vessel. This gunboat has been in the service for quite a while now and is slightly outdated, however the crew and I will refurbish it to the best of our ability and with the resources at hand. I would like to put her under commission of the Navy under the name [LN]-LNS-Lansing.
Her weapons array will be:
1 Liberty Missile turret
2 Defence turrets
Standard issue 4 Liberty Turrets
Liberty Forward Turret
Primary Train Cruise Disruptor
Advanced Countermeasure Dropper
Suggested crew of the Lansing:
Bridge:
Second in Command: Lt. Dallin
Tactical: Sub.Lt. Bolvan
Navigation/Helm: Ensign Kallic
' Wrote:Lieutenant Zachary Ryans to Lieutenant Commander.
Admiral, it was my understanding that Lieutenant Zachary Ryans had already been promoted to Lt. Commander and then onto Commander. Please clear this up for me.
Also, the Freelancer Quorzzz (or something very close to that) is to be Killed on Sight for attacking me without warning or provocation outside Manhatten.

If any promotions were handed to lieutenant commander Zachary Ryans before this day they are void as they were made without the knowledge of me and Vice Admiral Hale. Our records said that officer Ryans is a lieutenant and now he is a lieutenant commander. Kill on sight is something we don't do around here, bring him in for questioning or get one of the high command to talk to the said person.
To: Lt. Commander Galen Anderson
Permission to use the Lansing is granted, I hope she serves you and us well.

Ah, very well Admiral, I suppose I could show restraint next time I see Quozzz...where shall I forward the bill for my new ship and medical costs? Oh, and if High Command goes to see the Freelancer in question, I'd have my weapons armed if I were you, he has a tendency to sneak up behind you and destroy your ship without a word...
I'm updating my neural net with the new ranks of all officers, seems there was some miscommunication somewhere down the line.
Today, the crew and I began working on the Lansing. She needed an overhaul of her main weapons array, shields, and scanning equipment. The the ship is currently docked on Norfolk as it begins its overhaul. I will be on the ship personally with my crew to oversee the repairs and overhaul.
After the ship was docked on Norfolk, I patrolled on my Avenger with Admiral Talon, Vice Admiral Hale, Lt.Commander Malrone and Sub.Lt.Winston in California and Colorado. During the patrol in California with Vice Admiral Hale, we intercepted rogue transmissions out in the open comm. After we sweeped the system, we could not find the rogue however. After California, I was given command over a patrol wing as Sub.Lt.Winston, Lt.Commander Malrone and I sweeped Colorado. We found that all of the major areas were clear of any pirates. My shift ended after the sweep of Colorado.
Today as i started patrol I heard the blood-curdling cries of a trader being attacked by a terrorist, Jack"The_Felon"Butcher. After managing to track him down, a short fight ensued with my trusty Avenger triumphing over the murderer's ship.
Next I was called to a situation near Manhatten where a Mercenary was threatening Navy officers with death. As I approached Manhatten orbit, two more bogie's appeared on my sensors, then three, then there was four... Fortunately, the bomber was easy enough to take out, with him going down within seconds of engaging him, however the gunboats posed a much bigger threat. In the end, there were three enemy gunboats and one hostile mercenary all fighting two bombers and two fighters. We all fought valiantly but the gunboat's missiles were too powerful for out small ships. We managed to take down one of the gunboats before we were all forced to eject.
My shift started with a Xeno emergency near the California Jumpgate. Four Xeno bombers had already engaged fellow Navy officers and they were outnumbered. A long battle ensued, with the LNS-Iowa coming to help. The Xeno's knew they couldn't handle the might of the Liberty Navy and they attempted to retreat back to wherever they came from. We snagged one whilst they were retreating, but he jettisoned his escape pod and must've made it back with the others.
Now, when four Outcasts assault Newark Station, you may think this is a bad thing...however the fighting skills of the following Outcasts was just laughable. All four of them killed themselves, one even took out the other for us! All we really had to do was sit and wait for the idiots to kill themselves.
I decided to do a quick sweep of Colorado in the LNS-Indiana when I came across two Lane Hackers, one in a gunship, the other in a fighter. After they refused to heed my warnings to release the prisoners and leave, I took them by force.
I finished up the day with a non-compliant Corsair gunboat named Affinity|Ace.
It's been a while, I know, and I wouldn't be surprised if I'd see an angry face from higher up right now, but it is still my duty to at least say something about the fact I've been around the medical bay for far too long.
All I know about it was that I saw a torpedo detonating infront of the cockpit and an intense burning, before I was knocked out.
It seems they first put me into the cryofreezer for research on how I could actually miraculously have survived the torpedo impact (which, I must add, wasn't pleasant at all). I must've been one ugly gal to look at to say the least. It was during these tests I went into shock for the first time, but it must've been due to some... complications in the healing methods used by the navy medics.
Awaking, I find my face scorched and every inch of my body aching with burn wounds. I was wrapped in some sort of silver colored dressing, and over that, inches of white bandaging. I had thought I lost the ability to pilot a ship. My hands, which I couldn't move at all. Luckily, that was just the copious amount of gypsum used to hold the form of my hand.
Last week, they started regenerating my skin tissue, and I am now at least actually able to publicly show myself without catching everyone's attention. I decided to go for a flight in space again. Even met Seth Karlo again, boy was he surprised to see me in space after such a long hiatus. (So surprised he seems to have forgotten who I was too)
We then proceeded to inspect two luxury liners in Manhattan orbit, but due to some unforseen events, lost both our fighters in an accident. It seemed the liners still need to have their docking clamps updated to a mark VII version, since it's quite... underpowered. The next time I see one of the captains, I'll ask them for a refund of the lost Executioner.
Now, the point of this message was to inform you of what has happened to me the last month, and I would request a re-instatement into the Navy roster if that was possible in the near future. I will have to take it easy for the coming time, but I should be able to go into a full schedule in the next half year.
